Probably one of the most extensive selections of dog food, treats and supplies in all of San Diego. We bring our dog, Panda, here every couple of weeks to stock him up on his food and treats and the staff is absolutely too notch friendly and just super awesome. If their lot is full, parking is a bit of a problem as the shop is located in the heart of North Park and there is foot traffic and car traffic seemingly around the clock. If you live within walking distance, bring a backpack and your furry friend and make it a walking excursion and visual stimulation for your dog. This is not an option for us as we live in Normal Heights but prefer to drive here than go to national chains, which are closer. Give them a try and tell them Panda sent you! Happy holidays.

First time I came to dexters deli was just to get a happy birthday cake, and my dogs loved it. After that I kept coming for their frozen bone marrows and just any extra stuff I needed. The workers their are always so friendly and if you need any help they are their for you!

Great selection of quality cat food. The prices are the same as big box stores that carry comparable brands. No need to drive outside of the neighborhood and waste your money on garbage food for your Fur Chile'. Support your local businesses and buy here ????

Dexters is great. The staff is always a very friendly and have a great selection of clean, nutritious food for dogs and cats. They run specials from time to time and text you updates to keep you in the loop. We’ve never been in and not been able to get what we need for our three dogs. Most recently, we bought our small chihuahua mutt a harness and were able to try it on her at the store - critical since she is an odd size (don’t tell her, she’s self conscious ????). The staff was helpful in confirming our decision. Needless to say, our dogs love coming here as they have a super well stocked treat bar that they always seem to gravitate to ???? . We’re officially a Dexters Dawgs family ???? so we’ll be back for any other dog needs!

I was looking for kidney diet for my little girl and I found it there. Actually something that has yummy ingredients that people can eat, not that gross tasteless can food.

Fabulous pet store! They have great cards, colorful fiesta ware pet dishes, food, frozen food for dogs, supplements, parking! I even got a fun "Dog Mom" hat. And on a side note....I love that you can have your dogs teeth, scrubbed, polished and checked out between vet cleanings.

Great birthday cakes and pupcakes at a good price. They also personalized my cake with my dog's name and age at no extra cost. ???? Toy and food selection was good, and parking was easy.

I received an ice cold reception on my first visit...I’m a woman of color. Black owned? Three stars for the large selection of products and for finding a treat my picky shih tzu loves. Not sure if I’ll be returning.
