Fantastic care for our dogs. The hospital administrator Danielle Acevedo has that place going. They have genuine care for the animals.

The staff here is great! I brought my sassy former foster/stray cat to them and they totally took care of her. So glad I found them!

I have been going to College Animal Hospital ever since I got my new puppy over a year ago and they have been amazing! All of the staff is very knowledgeable, kind and professional I have never had any issues with them. Both of my dogs were sick today and I was able to get them both in today and they were kind enough to see both of them at the same time which was so helpful! I highly recommend College Animal Hospital as your vet! They are very reasonably priced and never try to sell me things that aren't necessary which I appreciate. Thank you all for taking care of my fur babies ????

This was our 1st time at College Animal Hospital. I called and let them know I was worried about her (my dog) being in pain. Was told there had been a cancelation and they fit me in. I believe they are knowledgeable and caring. So far I feel that I would like to continue them.

Lovely, professional, caring, honest, dedicated people. I drive an hour to take my senior dog here, she gets the best care possible at college animal hospital.

Doctor Hoard and the vet technician were highly professional, personable and competent. The doctor gave my almost 13 year old cat a thorough examination. She and the vet technician answered all of my questions in detail. I highly recommend them.

Great family owned vet place to take your pet for any type of care. They are the best.

My experience since the change in ownership has been night and day. The staff are rude and uncaring. I recently called seeking an appointment for my Dog that I suspected had kennel cough. I was told the soonest appointment was 2 weeks. This was my first experience with kennel cough, so I asked a few questions. She explained rudely, "Ma'am I can't diagnose a cough over the phone, see an emergency vet if you're worried". Of course I wasn't expecting a diagnosis over the phone by a vet tech, I just wanted to know if it was an emergency if my Dog was continuing to eat and drink normally, and no change in activity. I called Our pet Vets- University Pet Hospital and had a much better experience. They made me an appointment for 4 days away and gave me the number for a 24/7 vet if my Dog had any change in condition. She recommended I isolate my dog until the appointment. She was kind, professional, and reassuring.

Great. They saw my little girl Echo the day after I called. It was her first visit there and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I might be WAY off in left field here, but in my personal opinion... if you're going to hire someone to answer your business phone, you should probably make sure that person is educated, well-spoken, AND well-mannered enough to represent You and Your Business, as the the face thereof, in your stead. As well as knowledgeable enough about the business itself to actually ANSWER the questions patrons (and Would-Be patrons) are calling with! Preferably WITHOUT having to be put on hold for several minutes while they run off somewhere to ask someone else for the answer. Repeatedly! For every question! On every call! And lastly, with enough etiquette not to let irritation drip from their voice when expected to know the answers to said questions. Just a thought.

Very friendly and we're super helpful when our recent adopted 14 year old chihuahua needed emergency surgery. Very caring of our our little girl.

We had to bring our German Shepherd in for emergency surgery. Not only were they extremely professional but they also explained to us our dog's options and recommended care for almost an hour. These people truly care about their patients and their owners.

Last month my fur baby Chico became ill and rapidly declined. they did everything. We were there everyday with him in his final week trying to make him better. Finally we came to the decision that quality of life was better than quantity. Chico was suffering. They were so compassionate with me and Chico when the time came, they 3ven cried with me. I'll never forget that day. it's been a month and the grief was getting worse with me. I called and they talked to me. They reassured me that what I did was the right thing and they would never put a fur family memeber down it wasn't warranted. This is not just a vet office, this is a second family. I don't have my Chico with me anymore but College Animal Hospital is still by my side. This is one place you can go and know that they love your pet just as much as you do. They have the most caring staff. I should know, in the 14+ years I had Chico they were hands down the best, from Fresno to San Diego they have a staff unlike any other hospital. They will furever be a part of my family.

The customer service is AWFUL!!! My dog was diagnosed with diabetes last week. I made a appointment on Thursday to pick up his medication and speak to the doctor about instructions. I had to leave early from work in EL Cajon. I called in advance that I was going to be late. They refused to take me in when I was 7 min late. The receptionist mentioned that the manager would be calling me on Friday. No one called me on Friday. I called on Friday to follow up and the manager wasn't around. I asked to speak to the doctor and they mentioned that the doctor was busy. I called on Saturday to speak to the manager because I need to pick up the medication or have it transferred to a different vet that does have time to take care of my dog. They refused to allow that to happen. I mentioned that my dog hasn't been eating so they recommended for me to take him to urgent care on Saturday. I called this morning to mention that my dog is lethargic so they transferred me to Danielle (assuming she's the manager that was supposed to call me on Friday). She's absolutely despicable and not concerned about my dog at all. She has the audacity to tell me that they haven't even ordered my medication. After all of this back and forth, my dog is the one who's suffering from not having the proper medication. The office staff has no concerns about the health of your animal. I would highly recommend going elsewhere. I've wasted 4 days without medication for a diabetic dog.

So happy I found this spot ! My poor kitty got a splinter stock into her eye! I called about 6 places before calling college. They were able to get her in same day and get the splinter out and save her eye! And it didn't cost me a fortune either! This is my new vet, ill for sure be coming back! ???? thanks for saving my kitties eye!!

We love this place and everyone who works there. They take such great care of our pups and we can always count on them in times of need. We’ll furever bring our babies here for a long as we live in SD.

Dr. Rose and staff were very kind and straightforward. I appreciated their honesty when discussing options about treatment for my cat (i.e. you don’t really need this, you probably need that). This was my first visit and I’ll likely be back!

Dr. Rose is the best - very compassionate, knowledgeable and kind. Our 16-year old cat that hides from everyone melted in her arms. She personally emailed a note explaining the test results the day following our visit. Staff are extremely friendly and caring. Glad to have them in my neighborhood.

My dog Mambo had surgery to remove rocks he had ingested from his stomach. During the surgery it was discovered that he also had a mass on his small intestine that was also removed. The communication, support and care involved with Mambo was amazing. The entire staff are very kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.

The best! There is none better in San Diego! I’ve taken my dog my very ferocious dog to other vets. They all cost me a fortune and could not figure out what was wrong with her for over six months. But then These people helped me help my dog. She no longer sits and itches all the time. All the other vets said it was fleas it was not. Thank God for Vets like theses who take the extra time and care. And the staff here is top notch... I would not take her any place else.

Very fast and professional. A bit pricey but they were able to take my cat in right away.
