I was referred to Dr.Amin by friends and family. I’m so happy I went because the level of care, guidance and experience this vet has is beyond wonderful. He is so kind and went above and beyond to help with my rescue puppy getting the care she needs.

Dr. Amin at Avenida Animal Hospital totally saved the day with our cat. Our cat is 4 years old and had really bad teeth, apparently a genetic issue. We had noticed he was a little more sluggish than normal and had real bad breath. I didn’t think it was a big deal, but thankfully my wife was more attune to how our cat was feeling. We got a few assessments and the first couple local places were super high. Probably more than I’ve spent on dental in my lifetime. I found another local place that was reasonable, but they actually cancelled last minute-both times! By then we had waited a while and so my wife found Avenida Animal Hospital and they were able to see us right away. Dr. Amin was very friendly and caring with our cat. He assessed our cat while we watched and our poor kitty had severely decayed teeth and one broke off by slightly touching it. I had no idea it was that bad, but I knew for sure we needed to get this done “today”. He prepared the estimate and I braced myself for the worst. Well, the price was the lowest than all the other available places and Dr. Amin was able to do it same day. This meant so much to us because we were in a vulnerable situation yet totally felt Dr. Amin understood our situation and helped us. We are so appreciative of Dr. Amin and his staff for their support and care of our cat. We have definitely found our go-to vet in San Clemente and will be bringing our other cat as well. This was about a month ago and our Super-Kitty is doing so much better. He’s now back to his happy self jumping around everywhere. Thanks Dr. Amin and staff!

Very professional doctor, friendly staff, and great service for my pets

I was having concerns about my dog so I brought her in & the vet here completely misdiagnosed my dog. Which I had a feeling he did.. so I ended up taking my dog to a different vet to find out my dog has an autoimmune disease. This vet was concerned the second she saw my dog and was curious where I had taken her before since they completely missed it. She had all the signs of it. My dog could have died if I wouldn’t have went with my gut and took her to a different vet. I wouldn’t recommend this vet clinic to anyone.

I called to get my dog prescription refill.. they said they will call me back when it was ready for pick up but THEY NEVER DID !!!

Small place but booked within 2 days. Office visit was free the first time (49$ they say), my pup had some skin issues. Gave me some medicine for two weeks that costed 148$. Didn't look real closely at my pup, but seems fine overall. Might update with results from the medicine and his treatment. TLDR; In and out for pups skin problems(was itchy and cause little scabs on his neck). Small place, use a short leash. Free office visit 1st time, cost $148(medicine costs).

I strongly believe this place contributed to the death of my puppy. I had a puppy that unbeknownst to me had contracted parvo and was in the early stages and just beginning to display symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea. I brought him in to be examined and the vet (unfortunately I don’t remember his name but he appeared to be of middle eastern origin) was EXTREMELY dismissive of all my questions and concerns telling me not to worry. He then proceeded to vaccinate my puppy which I was told by a different vet further compromised his immune system making it harder for my puppy to fight off parvo. This later vet told me that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES would any COMPETENT vet administer vaccinations to a puppy experiencing the symptoms my puppy had. Not to mention that a competent vet would have thought to test for parvo. If the vet here would have tested him a week sooner and listened to my concerns maybe my puppy would have lived. As it stands my puppy is dead and I lost close to $6000. IF YOUR PET IS SICK I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TAKING HIM TO A DIFFERENT VET

They killed my friend's cat by forgetting to close her up inside after spaying her. She bled internally for hours.

Dr. Amin has been our vet for many years and has always given our pets the best care because he cares!

This is the best animal hospital I have ever used. The doctor does a wonderful job and puts us at ease even when having to make difficult decisions. He is very understanding and has a true love of animals. The staff is warm and friendly and always makes us feel welcome.
