Veterinary Vision Animal Eye Specialists San Carlos, California

My amazing vet recommended two different eye specialists to take my pup to for his eye issues. I regret choosing this one. I don't know if this is a location-specific issue (San Carlos) or a general practice issue, but working with Vet Vision has just been an exercise in frustration. My main complaint is that they lack basic professional communication skills in pretty much every medium. Want to call? I hope you have 45 minutes to sit on hold. Want to leave a number for a call back? I did that 4 times over 10 days and finally only got a call back after the 4th time. Want to email? Good luck ever getting a response. Email what, you ask? How about a request for instructions for pre-procedure care? But what really is annoying is that they have absolutely no concept of managing expectations. I was told twice that my pup's procedure would take "2, maybe 3 hours." They asked twice if I would be waiting in the parking lot or returning later to pick him up. I let them know twice I'd wait, since it was only 2-3 hours and I live 45 minutes away. I even had a conversation with them about where to go get coffee while I waited. Well, it's now 5 hours later in this parking lot, my work day pretty much destroyed, and I finally had to call them for an update. They initially couldn't give me any answers, which I found concerning. They finally sent someone out, and she told me I should go home because they're not sure when he'll be ready. Excuse me? The lack of communication, the lack of awareness of their own timelines, and their lack of accountability has been disappointing all around. I hope this procedure works because the last thing I want to do is have to return to this black hole of information.

Dr. M is awesome and truly cares for the well being of your pet! This clinic saved my French bulldogs eye after an infection in the eye. The phones are a bit difficult and appts are tough. But the clinic will save the eye

My cat had an ongoing eye infection which caused him to have 105.3 fever. I took him to my regular vet and felt the diagnosis was wrong. I thought i was going to lose him. After my vet got his fever under control i called and explained the issues with Erik. I was so concerned because the infection was back again after 2 weeks of medication. Erik assured me he would do everything he could to find an appointment for me. He was concern and compassionate. I was so impressed with his professionalism. Its not something you get much these days. He got me and appointment and my cat was diagnosed and is still in ongoing treatment but i am convinced by the staff's efforts my sweet cat is in the best hands. Thank you for the excellent care.

My dog came in with an eye issue that looked really serious. The vets were caring, professional and calmed all of my fears. I would highly recommend them.

Appreciate the customer service, quick appointments and the veterinarian. Appointments were quick and painless. Deducted one start for med refills outside appts. Called twice to get refills that never happened. Finally got them from regular veterinarian

My go to eye specialist for my dogs. Great service, have been seeing them for years for my shih tzus. Best in the Bay area. Love Dr Mughanam too.

One of our dogs has had a series of eye problems. Veterinary Vision saved her eye and has provided excellent care since then (couple of years). They are expert, kind, caring, flexible and not terribly expensive. Worth every penny!

It was a mistake to bring my pet to this hospital. I though they are specialists, but I don't think so. End up paid a lots and have bad experience. Never recomand and go back again. Last Friday, I received email from this clinic. I am so glad Cooks retire. There will be no more aminals to suffer cruelly under her blade. This Vets and nurse and aims for money only. Their knowledge is worse than a regular people. For example, If I had a stomachache, go to hospital, and the Dr said you have to surgery open the stomach. It doesn't make sense ?? Not even take X-Ray or lab test. It will be better if the nurse layoff as well because they will scare you by saying that: if you don't do surgery, you pet will blind. If you love your pet and don't want them to suffer, please pay attention to this Cooks

These guys are great. I have brought a total of 5 of my pets here and we are all treated really well. I love Dr. Mughannam! I remember Monique from my very first interaction with Vet Vision. Personable and communicated effectively. What can't I say? If you need top quality opthamalogy service for your pet, these guys are it. Though they recently joined with Sage Veterinary Services and prices have gone up, it is worth the money. They now have access to greater technology and more resources through the partnership.

Thrilled that they took care of our Boe! A Cavalier KCS that had his eye tore out by a visiting dog. Reasonable & professional! Couldn’t be happier.

Very dissatisfied w/ this clinic that I didn’t even get to come too. I was quoted 200+ for just to have my puppy checked.. and I didn’t mind paying that... but the lady stated they would charge me 100+ more for fitting me in for the same service!!!!! Luckily I found a diff. Location!! That did not try taking Advantage of the situation! They’re selfish!!

Dr. Lynch was amazing! Her staff is incredible! She did my cat's eye surgery and she did a beautiful job. I would trust her to do my eyes if needed. For years I was terrified to have my cat undergo this procedure for her entropy, until I met Dr. Lynch. She was very thorough and, unlike other doctors I had seen about this problem, she was honest. Also, not that money was a huge issue considering my pet's happiness, but she was almost half the price of other doctors in a 50 mile range. My cat is so happy now. I wish I could give more stars!

We have taken our dog twice for two different problems that came up with her eyes, both times they fix the problems that came up with her with their accurate assessment of the situation and choosing the perfect medicine for her ailments, so happy and grateful for their service.

It might not look fancy nor big, everyone in this vet is warm, and I felt comfortable leaving my dog for their care. Doctor is compassionate and practical. I am so glad to find them.

I am a general practice vet and chose to take my dog here for an intense eye issue requiring a specialist. They were courteous and fit me in a week early since I had messed up the appointment and arrived on the wrong day. They did a good work up at a good price. I advise my clients take their pets here for ocular issues.
