So I contacted them yesterday because I thought my dog might have Covid so I was going to ask them for recommendations. They were all totally clueless and trying to explain to me that they didn’t know animals can catch Covid I literally read Word for Word on the CDC website and She kept saying I’m not saying you’re wrong but I haven’t heard .Theres a whole Guidebook for Veterinary workers and locations as well as protocols to follow when an animal has exposure Symptoms. It’s been updated monthly since August 2020 . So that in itself made me go ahead and start looking for a new veterinary clinic because fact that they knew nothing about it makes me question your competence.

Honestly they have been very good. I have been taking my dog there for the past year and the vets seem like they genuinely want to help. And they don't try to pad the bill!!! Several times they have said we can exclude this test or that test and just treat and if symptoms persist then come back. There have been times where I needed to be seen same day for urgent issues and they do their best to squeeze you in. You would think all vets should use this model but VCA Natomas actually does it. I am very happy with them and if you look at my reviews of other vets in greater Sacramento it is not kind.

Dr. Rivera is AMAZING. I have never worked with a vet who has been so informative, understanding, and compassionate. She took the time to call my husband and I while our strong and stubborn boy was in her care. He was a rescue dog, so we don’t know much about his history. She gave us so much information about him that no other vet has taken the time to express. She outlined all of the information and then asked us our thoughts. She encouraged us to call her back at anytime with any questions or concerns, and made it very apparent that she truly cared about our dog. When he came home we read over his notes and they were so thorough and detailed. I am so impressed by her level of care and am very thankful to have found her.

Where do I begin? I called them as a follow up about my dog being in pain and requesting he get some sort of dog ibuprofren. It took them one week to get back to me, despite me calling again to ask what was going on. When I got the return call they were confused as to why I was calling? I had to remind them why I called and then I was informed they would call me back AGAIN. I didn't ever get a call back.... I then decided to call them again and was told to bring my dog in for an appointment the following day. I got a reminder call 1 hour later with the wrong time..... so I had to correct them on that too. So than I brought in my dog the next day. The recep. brought me out paperwork and then dissapeared for 15 minutes. She came back out and took my dog inside, telling me she would come back for the paperwork.... I waited 30 minutes and decided to go inside. I was THEN told this was a "drop off" and that they hadnt even begun to look at my dog yet. I said I wouldnt have 1. agreed to that because my dog is 18 and i don't want him in a cage for hours and 2. Would not have been waiting in the car for 30 minutes if I knew it was a drop off. The recep told me she would have someone call me so I went back out to my car and got a phone call 10 mins later telling me they would take care of my dog as soon as possible. I was never once apologized too or anything. RIDICULOUS. PLEASE WORK ON YOUR COMMUNICATION. Very frustrating......

After checking in, get ready to wait in your car for 45 minutes until they finally take the dog inside!!

I took my four year old bordercollie Aurora in for a check up and to get her vaccinations. The staff was very friendly and addressed my concerns. VCA Natomas also reached out to me the next day to make sure Aurora was feeling ok after her shots. Thank you VCA Natomas for taking such great care of our Aurora. I would definitely recommend the VCA for your furbabies.

I just want to say THANK YOU for honestly making each time I've call not only important but necessary. Worry Wort. Zf3

We booked an appointment for neutering our dog on a Friday. Lo and behold, we arrived to our appointment and they said they do not operate surgical procedures on Fridays. Either someone made a big scheduling hiccup or they are not effectively training their staff well. Very unprofessional and disappointing!

Made an appointment for my kitty Scooter at that time they didn’t ask me for my information and some how they contacted my daughter for the appointment for her dog Milo. When I called to question them (after waiting 12 minutes ) the girl said, oh! Let me send you the paperwork to fill out. I waited 4 hours before calling them to ask where the paperwork was and was told they had no record of my call prior and they would text me the paperwork. Never received the papers. I can only hope the doctors are better than the staff???????????????? What’s with always having to hold for several minutes before talking to someone. If short staffed, here’s a idea.. hiring more people or get rid of the incompetent.

Dr Chancellor is the best vet ever! We followed her from her old place of work in Vacaville. There’s no vet I trust more. I’ve moved across the US and have met many vets. Her love for animals shows and she’s also extremely knowledgeable. When she doesn’t know the answer, she doesn’t lead you astray - she will recommend you to a specialist. I cannot stress enough how great that is. As a pet groomer, I often recommend clients to seek a vet for funky skin and the like. I’ve seen many vets recommend the same treatment that don’t have the best result or any at all. Dr Chancellor starts with one treatment and if that doesn’t work, she offers other solutions and works to find what works for your pet. Even though I live in Vacaville, I don’t mind driving out to see Dr Chancellor when I know I have the best vet around! My dogs love her and I refer my clients to her as well. She’s not out to rip you off and she listens and will address your concerns. As for the VCA staff, they were all very nice both in person and on the phone. The check in and out process was also simple.

It would be nice if you have to fill out a form to get it before you get to office...Because you are trying to handle your pet while filling out form..

Dr. Rivera is a Godsend. She was informative and straightforward on my senior dogs procedure but most importantly she was positive, kind and compassionate, by making a stressful situation manageable. I love how they make sure to check in afterwards also and they even went so far as to take before and after photos for my pups extractions. Highly recommended for pet dental needs.

I take my Dog and Cat to VCA, very nice Dr's and staff. They have a good system to drop off and pick up animals during this pandemic.

First I need to qualify that this center has some excellent veterinarians. My concern is in regards to the lack of customer service from their office staff. My experience with calling there is having been placed on hold for unreasonable periods of time, repeated attempts to get a prescription renewed and difficulty with requesting a technician or vet call back. It should be noted during my last experience I was eventually contacted by the doctor who was responsive regarding my pet's case & test results as well as assurance that they would work on improvement in the future.

Incompetent staff, poor communication. All they want to do is drive up a cost and charge for money. They show minimal to no knowledge of animals. Absolutely terrible location and staff.

I had made an appointment for my American Staffordshire Mia but had to reschedule on short notice they rescheduled another appointment for 2 days later was very grateful they worked with me. With the Covid-19 conditions I checked in out front and waited a short time and they came out and away they went, after paying on line they returned her to my car a short time later. Very impressed with the Professionalism will recommend to friends!

Wanted to thank Michael for taking our call and getting us seen within the hour! Our 7 month german shepard scraped his paw and was bleeding. Michael took our call and showed genuine worry about our dog. We were able to get seen on a Friday evening and avoided an emergency vet bill. Cannot thank them enough for their customer service, their attention to our needs and care for our dog!

We found out that our dog had a very aggressive breast cancer and we caught it too late So we had to put our Marley down. They made us feel very warm comforting and sent a card two or three days later.

With the virus restrictions my goal to get vaccines for my dog were successful. I had to remind staff that I needed documentations for county licensing. The staff was pleasant and the services were good.

They are social distancing. Service was faster than before, (which is a good thing). Have always liked this animal clinic.

You call and check in. They come out for your pet while you wait in your vehicle.

Every vet around me I called before VGA was booked solid - even other vacation locations. This vet, though busy, still gave me an appointment next day when my baby really needed to be seen for a bad ear infection. And I still got my first visit free (though paid for lab test and medication of course). They were kind and made sure my girl got what was needed without having to wait weeks for an appointment.

My dog Boomer is not good at the vet office. He gets stressed out and that in turn stresses me out. Debbie took the time to talk to me about what the plan would be for an upcoming appointment and that they would bring Boomer in through the side door to help ease his stress. Turned out that Dr. Cohen did Boomers whole exam outside at the side door and it couldn't have gone any better stress wise. The fact that they went above and beyond for my dog goes to show how amazing the staff all are there. I'm already dreading the thought of annual vaccine time in January but I know the staff will do their best to make it as stress free as possible.
