I received excellent service during the exam from our Vet and staff. Personal service is everything... I left feeling confident that all of my questions had been answered and been answered and I'm looking forward to returning again with our other dog!

I took my 2 ten year old kitties here last week to establish care. I was anxious so were my poor cats. The staff helped us feel more at ease. They were very careful handling the girls and expressed sympathy and care for them. I was very happy with the service and with Dr. Abney's care.

I am very disappointed. After relying on Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital for over 6 years to do my rabies and International health certificates they now all of a sudden do not offer this service. Cannot even get an appointment for a rabies vaccine without additional wellness exams and expensive testing done. Will not use this veterinary again! Not breeder friendly at all and getting more and more difficult to work with.

I appreciate that this vet hospital is busy due to their high quality staff. When I did have a recent miscommunication, two apologies and a rectifying of the situation was made, so I appreciate that. Both desk staff and Dr apologized which is wonderful. I trust this hospital and Dr Malek and Noak really know what they are doing. Dr Malek especially has a great insight to animals which is the reason he turned his practice into an entire hospital. Thank you ???????? for doing what you do to help us and our animal families.

Dr Malek is great! I had a question 4 him after he left the room & was told by the assistant that she'd have him call me back by end of business today but he hasn't so I'll have to call back down &/or go by there today & wait 4 an answer.

Let me preface this by saying that I would not be leaving this review, however, I asked for the owner and/ or someone in charge to contact me about this experience over two months ago and to date have received no such contact. We’ve been patients of Foothill Farms for over two-years and both of our dogs have seen vets at this facility. We’ve had no issue and loved Dr. Haas when she was there. However, I feel our most recent experience should be shared. Our THREE-year old dog was scheduled to go in for a teeth cleaning and removal of one of her visually cracked molars. Prior to the day of the procedure, Foothill Farms e-mails me a general consent form to sign. My husband dropped off our dog at 8am and was told the procedure would take two hours. It gets to be about 12pm and we’ve heard nothing, so my husband calls. According to Foothill Farms, they just started the procedure on our dog. It gets to be 2:30, and we’ve heard nothing. My husband calls..our dog is out of the procedure and they want to monitor for several hours and that she will likely be ready around 5:30. It gets to be 5:40ish and we’ve heard nothing. My husband calls… “oh your dog has been ready for awhile.. …oh and we close at 6.”….Great, thanks for letting us know... My husband goes to pick-up our dog and finds out that she ultimately had SEVEN teeth removed during the procedure. The front desk people were utterly clueless and at no point during the day, during any phone call, was this mentioned. The paperwork he brought home indicated that our dog had stage two periodontal disease on six of her teeth. After the fact, the vet blamed the consent form we signed, which reads, “Please indicate your preference by selecting one of the choices below: 1. Proceed with any treatment deemed necessary 2. Do nothing else unless you reach me by telephone. By choosing this option we will only perform estimated items. If we cannot reach you for authorization (for treatment beyond the estimate) your pet would have to return for another anesthetic procedure.” I obviously chose #1. In hindsight, and from an attorney’s perspective (that would be me), this clause is incredibly vague and insanely problematic. In my opinion, “treatment” does not equate to removal of teeth. Maybe applying a topical ointment etc….. but not tooth removal. When I asked the vet what would have happened if my dog needed EVERY tooth removed…would they just have done that and not contacted us or told us after the fact? The vet had no response. Secondly, all research I have conducted, including speaking to other vets, has indicated that stage 2 periodontal disease is manageable. It is not reversible but with proper treatment, it is treatable. So once again, to me, tooth removal would not have been “necessary.” My other dog had this same procedure done two years prior by Dr. Haas. We received a call in the middle of the procedure to let us know our dog needed a molar removed in which our authorization was required. In both cases, our dogs were having a medical procedure under anesthesia… who is not answering their phone calls? So my dog now has 6 teeth gone…for a “treatment” deemed “necessary” by the treating vet. And while this breaks my heart and I cannot believe this was done to my dog, I am most upset by the total lack of communication ALL DAY LONG. Even when my husband called for the third time, after the surgery, and spoke to the vet, at no time did she tell my husband what had happened. My already nervous dog had been waiting there hours after surgery, ready to go home, with no phone call from the vet. And again, we’ve not heard anything from anyone who is managing this operation. SO be cautious when signing your consent form for treatment.

After the necropsy on my kitten they did not stitch him back up. It made a hard experience worse.

I recently brought my cat Bennie to Foothill for laser therapy treatments and was very impressed by Dr. Malek and his entire team. Bennie was very sick and suffering with a bad leg, and when I called to request the first laser appointment they were able to squeeze us in the same day. Subsequently, Bennie had a bloody paw and again, they squeezed us in right away. Sadly, Bennie crossed the rainbow bridge only a few weeks later, but I remain grateful for the professionalism, efficiency and kindness we experienced at Foothill. It made a real difference during a very difficult time. Thank you, Dr. Malek and staff.

The staff is professional and making an appointment was not stressful and so nice to have someone answer the phone without being placed on hold. The doctor was very nice and informative of all procedures with our little kitten! Definitely has my business!

My regular vet was booked out until the following week, but these guys had an appointment 2 days away. They were very sweet to my dog, and the tech took TONS of time talking with me about a cat behavior problem, even though I was there for the dog. They were very cool about what services/products that I wanted to shop around for and not buy from them. I was able to get an estimate for a future dental extraction we know is inevitable, and I appreciated them explaining the line items I didn't understand, and what to expect the day of the procedure. I liked that I could pay for my visit while still in the exam room. Everyone was super nice, the prices seem comparable to most places, (except Reagor which is ridiculously expensive). We had a very positive, no pressure, experience! We'll likely be back.

The vet's and staff always take such good care of my fur babies. My little Tink was recently diagnosed with a spine disease and needed daily medications on top of laser therapy. Due to Covid restrictions I was not able to go in with her but they treated her as if she was their own providing her with love and comfort. I just want to say thank you to everyone for making her feel loved and safe during this hard time and thank you for making this fur momma feel secure when I leave my babies in your care ❤ I added some pictures that the staff took for me of Tink wearing her safety goggles for her laser treatments. The pictures speak for themselves about the love and care that is provided to each and every animal that they care for.

So disappoint in with this vet. Moved to area and asked if they sent reminders, of course we do. Well i havent seen one in 2 years. Done no more. I want a vet that cares. My fur baby is senior now and still no reminders. So disappointed.
