Dr. Faber is very attentive and caring and helped our elderly dog regain her vision. She had a very scary bacterial infection in her eye and Dr.Faber was very proactive about making sure that she got the care she needed as quickly as possible to maximize the potential for the best outcome. We lost our sweet Coco recently and although he only knew her for a short time Dr. Faber sent a very heartfelt card after hearing about her passing. I can’t tell you what this means to me and how blessed I feel to have had my Coco in his care. He is so incredibly busy and for someone to take the time out of their day to write such a heartfelt note, was very touching and shows just how much he cares about the animals that he cares for. Thank you for all that you did for Coco and our family, Dr. Faber. We are forever grateful. ???????? ❤️

They were honest , retinal degeneration or highly aggressive tumors, but to be sure he need's MRI which could run thousands. Tears in my eye's. (Buy insurance if you own a dog)

The staff are wonderful and the vet is absolutely the best! He has taken care of my girl on a couple of occasions. And extremely reasonably priced.

Dr. Faber is so personable and takes the time to really get to know your pet as well as to diagnose vision issues. He also explains your options in great detail with your pet's best interest at heart. Plus, the RVTs are all amazing and prompt with assistance.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to Dr.Faber a 2nd time for my Great Danes eye procedure. Everything went according to plan and my dog had sutures in and had to wait two weeks for the eyes to heal and to get sutures removed. Halfway through that waiting period my dogs right eye contracted an infection. I called Dr.Faber and left him a vmail, he called back after I texted him photos of her severely swollen shut right eye. He let me know that it was his "day off" and for me to slap a warm towel over it. Now I'm no eye expert like he is but I knew my dogs eye needed urgent expert care right then and there. He suggested me waiting 4 days later till Monday. I knew I had to act quickly and take her into a pet hospital. She did indeed have a bad eye infection and the Dr that took care of her told me Dr.Faber should have dropped what he was doing and seen her that day. I was willing to drive her to his office but he refused and kept telling me he was closed for the day. I don't blame him for her eye contracting an infection, I blame him for being lazy and especially while my dog still had sutures in he did not want to see her that day and I had to pay an extra $700 for the pet hospital bill that day. Super annoyed and frustrated with him and proud to say I won't be going back to him ever again. He's the laziest eye DR I've ever encountered. Also going to post pics here of my dogs swollen eye just so you can see that he recommended a "warm towel" to heal the swelling and that would cure the infection. What a disgrace this lazy guy is.

Dr. Faber's skill and knowledge, care for his clients & their animals, and fairness & integrity are tops. And he's a goodhearted person. I would know, I was his receptionist for 8 1/2 years. His techs Liz and Nicole are the best too.

The staff was really friendly and Dr. Faber was awesome. He told me exactly what was wrong with my Stark kitty, how he was going to fix Stark's eyes, and was very willing to answer any questions I had. Would definitely come here again if any of my animal crew needed vision help.

Our initial visit with this vet “Nick Faber” one month ago for tests that needed to be performed to diagnose our small dog “Sammy” eyes. My first impression of this vet...”Creepy” he comes across as someone who doesn’t feel comfortable being around people, definitely introverted, however a pure “control freak”. IMO...along with my wife who concurs, this vet is rude, condescending, arrogant and simply put a NARCISSIST. If you don’t feel comfortable being put in your place for asking simple questions pertaining to his office staffs behavior along with your pets eye issues without being interrupted and told directly by this vet Faber “YOU NEED TO BE QUIET” then I suggest you pay the extra money somewhere else as this vet is much less expensive than other eye vets in the Sacramento area. However this vet obviously feels the need to subject you to his rude, demeaning, unprofessional, unacceptable impatient behavior to offset his procedure costs. This guy has ZERO people and customer service skills. BTW...he did get over $800.00 from us without anything being done to improve our “Sammy’s” condition. SURPRISE costs at the end of each visit. NO THANKS!

From the start of my 1st call Debbie was rude. Went in and saw Faber who was... ugh. They really need to show more care for those who keep them in business. We value our pets like the little babies they are. I don't like that we we're treated like a numbers. Side note, money seems to be more important.

Dr. Faber and staff are everything you could possibly want for the good care of your animal. They are skilled, efficient, personable, and I always leave feeling good about the visit. I always leave feeling like I'm educated on my dog's condition, and I'm well-informed on his options. Debbie and Nicole add to the excellent overall service of Animal Vision Center! I cannot say enough good things about doctor Faber and staff!

I am sure the Dr. did his best Issue is I have spent over $5000.00 and was expecting better results. As per two diagnostics exams, it was stated that whippet was a good candidate for this surgery, with low complication rate. Now the dog is blind. I had adhered to all of your instruction as to post operative instructions, now the dog cannot see. Your office called and asked me set up an appointment. I was told that there would be more charges. Again I spent over $5000.00 and expected better results. Something needs to be done..... I was told it would cost another 100.00, this has become a money pit.. So beware

Dr Faber and his office staff were fantastic to both me and my pet. I brought a young cat in for cryoepilation surgery and she is SO greatly improved in her comfort! I could not be happier with the results. Dr Faber is extraordinary, he is incredibly kind and explained everything to me and appreciated and answered all of my inquiries. The aftercare instructions were clearly written out when we left the office and we had zero complications. I highly recommend this clinic, and Dr Faber.

Dr. Fabor is a very caring and personal doctor. We just moved to the area and our 14 year old dog had ongoing problem with glaucoma. Dr. Fabor is very thorough and takes time to explain issues, is very reasonably priced, and does not do unnecessary testing or follow up treatments. He takes the whole dog into consideration, and orders testing based on their specific needs. Office staff is so friendly and welcoming. Our dog passed away a few months after seeing Dr. Fabor and I called to cancel his upcoming follow up appointment. The office staff was so compassionate, and we received a sympathy card in the mail several weeks later from Dr. Fabor. It makes a difference to have a doctor who truly cares about his clients and their families. I will definitely use his services for my animals in the future and would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Faber is wonderful! Very pleasant and respectful. He was sweet to my dog, good assessment skills, explains everything, answers any questions asked, makes suggestions/recommendations. Follows up quickly and is honest with you. He was so gentle with my doggy. I can tell he loves what he does and I wouldn't second guess anything with him. I completely trust him and his staff, they're professional and welcoming. Debbie the front desk clerk is the sweetest ever! She's genuine and has good people skills. Very sweet lady. They sure know how to hire the right staff. She made me feel welcome and cared for. The wait was very short, less than 10min in the lounge plus the waiting room, fast and excellent service. Wouldn't go anywhere else, I was very impressed. Thank you so much guys, you are heaven sent :) I know my doggies are safe in your hands. Much love to you all.

We met Dr. Faber almost a decade ago when we were first referred by our general Vet for our Cocker Spaniel, Andra who developed cataracts. He was great with her from assessment to after surgery follow ups. He is THE EXPERT in his field and we did not go anywhere else when our Miniature Schnauzer, Gryffin went blind due to diabetes. We will be forever grateful. It will be wise for anyone who is referred to take the advice. There is a reason for a specialty and Dr. Faber, in my humble opinion, is the epitome of it.

I took my Jack Russell to Dr. Faber four or five years ago. She had developed diabetes and cataracts. He replaced her lenses, and she could see perfectly. He was so kind to her and to me. He's soft spoken, never seems rushed, and was great at explaining what was going on for her and what the treatment involved. She is having a new problem now, perhaps glaucoma, and Dr. Faber is the one I want to have treat her again.

Dr. Faber gave my dog back her sight!! After diabetes hit my dog and constant companion last fall, she lost her sight to cataracts over only about a 3-4 week period. My usual veterinarian referred me to Dr. Faber, and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome!! Dr. Faber is a master at his specialty, and is thorough and explanatory before and after the surgery and recovery. Dr Faber and his assistants were a pleasure to work with, and I most highly recommend his intervention to anyone who has an animal with vision problems.
