Backyard Pet Spa & Boutique Roseville, California

We took our two 85lbs German Shepard’s in for a de-shed, bath, and nail trim…… they look beautiful ???? I will admit, we don’t always have the time to groom them as much as we should, so it is definitely not the easiest of jobs, and they do a wonderful job. Our female can be nervous around men and they always make sure to make her feel comfortable, we will continue to come back.

Always does a decent job at a reasonable price. Also they do a good job getting you in.

Everyone that works here is so friendly! Everytime I take my little baby to get groomed he comes back beautiful

We have been here twice and I feel comfortable leaving my pup here each time. The owner/manager is great. They really care❤️

I showed them a picture of a previous haircut and they got half way there. I had to have them groom my dogs face before leaving as they didn’t touch it during the appt. The body cut is crooked and they didn’t shorten underside. I thought the photo would help but it didn’t. $100 gone! The photo I used was from a groomer out of state for $60, I’ll keep looking

Backyard Pet Spa and Boutique is fabulous. They got me in really quick for a full on grooming appointment for my toy poodle. The staff is so sweet, happy, and good vibes. They are all animal lovers and took great care of my fur baby. They are all so nice, understanding, professional, and flexible. My toy poodle has the cutest hair style. They go beyond the minimum to make you and your doggie happy. When i was driving to pick my doggie, i saw the groomer taking my doggie out for potty. That was so sweet because i know groomers do not take your dog out for potty. I plan to be a loyal customer to Backyard Pet Spa and Boutique. I highly recommend them to all dog parents. If you are looking for a gentle, great groomer, that takes great care of your dog..... Then this is the place. ????????????

I found it incredibly unprofessional to see them arguing with the people who left a negative review, continually contradicting what the customer had said, but I decided to go against my better judgement and went to them anyways. Their prices are outrageous for the service they provide, it feels as though everyone is irritated to serve you and when they do try to explain things they have a way of talking down to you. I will not be a returning customer and wish I hadn't wasted any amount of money with them.

Our regular groomer was booked and we contacted Backyard Pet and they were actually booked as well but, kindly took our Yorkie, she was bathed, had a puppy cut, and nails filed, when we picked her up she was so happy and we believed she could also tell that she received the best looking cut she's ever had. We were so grateful that they didn't just rush a cut to fit her in... She was perfect! We would highly recommend, and have, to friends and family to bring your fur baby in and you'll get to experience their friendly, loving, and knowledgeable staff. What more can you ask for. ????

Very unhappy with the owner. Had our goldendoodle clipped and after we told them not to cut the ears, they did. then when the legs where over 2 inches long and we asked for a 1 inch all over cut they say well that's how it is. company states 7 days to bring up any issues and when we brought her back in 2 days they want to charge us again for the full amount to fix it. Bad service all around. Stay away!

I took my Maltese puppy here for her first grooming experience. They were so kind and I felt they wanted to make this experience a good one for my puppy. Not rushing her appointment taking their time making sure she was comfortable and not scared. They were able to bath her and give her a cute puppy trim. Thank you Backyard Pet! You guys are awesome!

I had such a great experience with Backyard Pet Spa & Boutique! My pup had long hair and has never been groomed before. I needed to get his hair as short as possible due to medical reasons. $100 for a bath, allergy treatment and cut. The price was so reasonable for the experience and services they provided. AJ was so kind and sweet to both myself and my pup. He explained everything and really emphasized that they were only going to do what my pup could handle. My pup got a little stressed so they washed him one day and then did his big chop a few days later. I super appreciate a business that does what is best for their clients: the fur babies. We will absolutely be back. Thank you, thank you from Milton and myself.

Amazing Experience I took my pup in to get his nails grind down, he was really nervous a big baby hes a doberman, they took him in, even when I didn't have an appointment! and I could hear them talking really sweetly to him and he was done in 10 minutes all perfect

First impression from the appointment booking phone call was excellent and the service we received when taking our dog in was truly exceptional. Our dog has not loved her previous grooming experiences and Michelle and AJ were amazing to work with. By far the most caring and attentive grooming service we've ever had. Plus their boutique has lots of great items. Highly recommend!

I took my German shepherd in a few days ago, he was shedding horribly and his nails needed to be trimmed. The staff here are extremely friendly and truly care for your beloved pet! I have never seen my dog so clean and he doesn't have any hair coming off of him anymore. His nails look amazing as well. I also had my yorkie and pomeranians nails done and I was in and out in about 10 min. I will not be taking my animals anywhere but here! wish I could give more stars. The BEST groomers I have ever to. I used to go to a groomer in Folsom and this place cost less and is twice a good.

I took my dog Maggie here for the first time today. She hadn't received a groom in a longer time than usual due to her original groomers being closed for COVID. Needless to say, she was a wreck... totally matted up, super long fur, and most of all, she was so hot from the weather warming up. I ended up just calling up every grooming place that was taking in clients ASAP and this was the first and soonest available, and I could not be happier that it worked out that way. They did a fantastic job of taking care of my old, blind, and sensitive dog. I knew it wasn't going to be easy to get her all shaved down considering how matted up she was. The groomer (whose name I unfortunately don't remember) even called me just to make sure that I was okay with how short they were going to shave her down, and some of the minor risks that might be associated with that (such as Knicks, razor burn, etc.) Super super appreciated them reaching out and happy to say that none of that even happened. Couldn't recommend this place more and will absolutely be coming back.

Don't judge other people by their appearance

We stopped by on a whim to find out if our 5 month old Yorkie could be groomed for the 1st time. They were very nice and got us in, did a great job and took the time to teach us tricks that will her used to being groomed regularly.

They were wonderful and my dog was a happy boy!

This place is great! Love all the pet accessories, great place to shop for a gift for dog and cat lovers. My babies came out of their spa day looking beautiful and dapper!

Overall they have done well for our Havanese. She’s so beautiful and was treated better than when I go to the spa. This is our first time however, like when I go to a barber the first time I need to get in sync with him which may take a couple of visits. So far we like this place a lot

This place is so cute! Top notch grooming and my dogs were perfectly at home there. It's a family-owned business, and they are SO friendly! I will definitely be a regular at this quaint little shop. We needed a place like this in the area!
