VCA North Park Animal Hospital Rohnert Park, California

We are relatively new to this new veterinary practice but so far my experience has been wholly positive. My dogs, Francis and Ruth Bladder Ginsberg, are VERY comfortable here and they so appreciate the kindness and gentleness of the vet techs. All the front desk people have been kind and courteous and friendly (even when I've called multiple times in a day). Dr. Langbein is thorough, kind, compassionate and very passionate about her work. She goes the extra mile to get things right. At a time when veterinarians are stretched beyond what's reasonable, she takes the time to be curious and to go beyond the surface. I appreciate that very much. Oh, and Francis wants to move in there.

The Dr was very knowledgeable and I appreciate how gentile he was with our dog. However the attitude on the women who answer the phones is leading me to look elsewhere for treatment. I'm tired of being spoken to like answering the phone is a burden. Where I come from we are not allowed to bring our sour attitudes to work and if our job is answering phones and making appointments we sure as heck don't sound so upset and annoyed to be doing it. I don't understand where cheery customer service has gone these days. You'd think they would care enough to make a place that people want to come back to. In conclusion hopefully the vets there will want better for their business than women who represent their business with attitudes like that.

March 5, I brought my cat Sarge to North Park Vet to be examined/euthanized as he was could not walk, would not eat and had lost a lot of weight and had lived a long life. Dr. Wong stated that my cat's condition started a year ago and treatment then, could have prevented his condition now. Sarge was examined a year ago by another vet and given a clean bill of health. His present condition did not start a year ago, but very recently. I told Dr. Wong that Sarge's brother, who died a year ago, had similar symptoms and that we tried Dr. Langbean's regimen of prolonging life on Tiger, only to have the cat die a month later, and suffer in the process. Doctor Wong insisted that earlier intervention could have prevented Sarge's condition. I restated that I had no intention of torturing Sarge with treatment that didn't work before. Dr. Wong's tone was very callous and insulting during the discussion, without any regard for anything I wished to say. I believe that North Park Vet's business model is to create a sense of guilt combined with false hope in order extort money for billable procedures; procedures that have little likelihood of success, without regard to suffering of the animal or the owner. Dr. Wong's 'bedside manner' was disgraceful. I guess it's easy to take cheap shots from behind a telephone while cocooned in a brick building where clients are not allowed to enter. Amazing what comes out of someone's mouth when they don't have to look you in the eye. In my opinion, this behavior resembles a cowardice bully, not a healer.

The staff are always kind and welcoming. Dr. Wong is always willing to completely explain anything and clearly cares about people's pets. I never feel rushed when I come here. I absolutely trust them with my dog's health.

Had me wait half an hour for a vet visit, receferred to my dog as a he rather than a she, the tech asked me what my dog was there for (isnt that their job?), and when i asked about a test done on their last visit (because they never called me with the results) had to look it up. My dogs name wasnt even on the welcome board. Overall would not recommend this place.

Love the staff. Nice clean place. I feel they care about their work and patients. Have been taking my fur children here since they were kittens and are now seniors. Well worth the visit.

The front staff and techs are fantastic! The vet we saw.... not so much. I had just adopted a dog from the SPCA and wanted to take her in for a quick checkup to make sure everything was okay. The vet came in and did her assessment— only to find a fever. Immediately upon finding the fever, the vet started jumping to conclusions, stating that this is a “mystery disease” and we need to do “multiple tests”. Me, being the brand new dog owner, worried as heck, let the vet do an x-ray and bloodwork. After all of the tests, I ask the doctor “Is she going to be okay?” only for her to reply “I don’t know. We have to take it day by day.” How reassuring. The vet talked in circles and made no clear sense. I’m not one to question one’s education, but she felt very unqualified. Instead of assuring me that she’s in good care, she did the exact opposite. My gut feeling was telling me that something was off with this vet, so I went to get a second opinion at another vet office. Upon telling them everything this other vet said, they laughed. A few minutes later, they diagnosed my dog with kennel cough— a super common disease that is easily treatable. I will no longer be going to North Park VCA, as I found a new office that I can tell genuinely cares about my dog and isn’t just in it for the profit. I’m not one to write reviews like this, but I just felt it needed to be shared.

Knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate staff. Dr. Powers literally sat on the examine room floor to introduce herself to my dog and cat. I like her style, and she keeps it real.

I have been using this vet for over 12 years and in that time the only other vet I have used is the VCA 24 hour vet for the few pet emergencies I have had. They are by far the best vet office in the Rohnert Park/Cotati area. They are reliable and respectful of the client's financial budget and will give your animal the best care possible within your budget. And if your animal has to stay there without you for any time after a surgery, the vet techs and vets ensure the safety and comfort of your pet, they give them love and attention as if they were their own.

Super friendly and informative staff. They truly care for our fur babies and have the best interest of the animal in mind and at heart. We have been taking our dogs to North Park for 12 years and will never look for another place to take our little loves for their health maintenance needs. Peggy is awesome! She rocks and is on top of her game. Thank you to all the staff at North Park for taking such good care of our pets.

They were great. They gave me options as to what kind of test to run. What would be best for my cat. As well what I really had to have to make him better. The vet even took off the office visit charge. I felt like she wasn't just a vet she was an animal lover. It was not just a job to her. She sat on the floor and even played with my Jackie. The best

The best care for all of my fur babies!

I have been coming here for many years. I absolutely love Doctors Powers and Frederick along with the Vet Techs and all the support staff. I have had a lot of issues with my dog for all her life. The Doctors are so compassionate (to me and my animals) and have listened and worked with me so well with many medical issues. They are able to help me keep things in perspective and they have never pushed any treatments on me. My dog is small and both these doctors always come in the room and get down on the floor to greet and examine my dog. I am always impressed with all the staff, they are so friendly, knowledgeable. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

I have a new puppy in need of his next DHPP vacination. I'm trying to set up a new relationship with a new veterinarian so I tried to schedule an appointment with this Vet office using their online scheduling system but the earliest date was way past the due date for my puppy's next vaccination. I called the office to try to schedule an earlier appointment but they told me that they could not fit me in earlier and were not taking any new clients. It seems like they have exercised pretty poor judgement if they are willing to give up potentially 15 years worth of income by not accommodating a new puppy appointment!

I don't appreciate the fact that you guys locked the doors early for the 3rd time that I've been there a 20-30 mins before close because I can only come after work. So NOT COOL. I am completely dissatisfied, and if you guys don't want my money then fine I will take my business elsewhere. We called the phone line and it said "staff meeting" but I could see the front desk person peaking out the door at me and my mom. She kept looking out and then would walk to the corner and hide. Then when we drove off I saw her watch us and go back up front. This isn't the first time like I said before that this has happened. One time I came in 15 mins before close and they said they were just about to lock up but "I guess I can help you really quick". I don't think business should be ran this way, especially us that can't go during work. So you need to change your hours then if you're going to close up early. If I could give 0 stars I would.
