See update at bottom I see a common thing people complain about and sadly, I'm here to complain about it too. I get that Dr's have emergencies, and need days off too, but this is ridiculous. What's the point of offering emergency services if you never know when the dr is going to be in for the day. That's the problem, dr shows up whenever he wants to. Service is eh, we have been going here for a few years, but tbh I'm so over needing anything from them. God forbid anyone has an emergency... UPDATE: So even if you schedule an appointment, you're still looking at an hour and a half to two hour wait times to be seen. What's the point of even scheduling if you have to wait an additional 2 hrs? I understand it gets busy, but maybe get a 2nd and 3rd dr for the practice, and maybe have the first dr be more reliable and come in when scheduled. This is a major business ethics problem,and malpractice for our animals.

Amazing staff and veterinarian. Will work with you in emergency will be using them for all my pooches! My honey bear will be just fine with these guys.

This place is just fantastic. Dr Jenkens and staff took us in within 1 hour after we called on a Monday no less. Diagnosed the problem quickly as this guy has seen a few. Got us back on the road (we were here from out of state) in a flash! Thank you Canyon for treating us like locals!!! ❤️❤️????????

Sloooowww! I didn't realize that the waiting times were going to be measured in dog-years. I also didn't need to hear how big his house was - twice - or the fact that he paid someone $175/hr, and all he got was jokes instead of the service for which he paid. I hope he sees this review, and I hope he takes it to heart.

I recommend reaching out to Canyon vet in Ridgcrest if you can. They are local and a very kind, generous team. They genuinely wanted to help and let me come in the same day when I called. I was expecting to pay their walk-in fee as discussed over the phone, which was no biggie.. money wasn't a concern at this point. I just wanted the kittens to make it! They ended up charging me next to nothing for the care the newborn kittens received and honestly went above and beyond what I could have hoped for. The Vet doc came into the exam room after making time for the kittens and WHAM, BAM.. done in ten! Excellent, efficient and knowledgeable care. That's what you look for in a good business, and good people.

Today had an appointment today 07/16/21. Called verifying my appointment to find out that my appt was canceled due to the doctor not coming in. This is sad that they didnt give any notifiction of them canceling my appt. The doctor is a joke. They wanted to schedule me for mid august which is bs. Why should i have to wait for another month to my animals in. If the doctor comes in tomorrow those with appts will be seen but i have wait another month thats bs. I will never use this place again nor recommend them to anyone else.

I had to wait outside for an hr after already informing I was euthanizing my 15yr old bassett. No compassion. Waited in room for another hr. Promised a price for ashes and all the sudden price was raised $150 more. Wish I would have never gone there.

Had a dog to get spade and was told vet was out so they gave us an appointment two weeks later. Called to confirm the appointment to just be told they are closed that day and they won't do anything about it. Tried calling again to set up different appointment that same day and they hung up right after saying "canyon vet...oh" and hung up.

Don't trust the actual vet but the other ladies were very nice and informative. The vet believes that fleas don't exist in California and spent the whole visit with him arguing that with me. Not addressing the other problems that I also brought up. I now still need another vet visit but at least I got my rescue updated on her rabies and ear meds for my other dog even though the med gave no other directions except "use liberally daily" thankfully my dog has had allergies for her 10 years of life, fleas being one of the big ones, and has had many ear problems and we have seen this medication before so I already know how to use it.

Canyon Veterinary Hospital was there when no other vet in town could see my very sick dog. Dr Jenkins and his staff were professional, honest, and compassionate. My little guy unfortunately did not make it due to his illness had gone to far. But everyone was so kind and compassionate, and I thank them for even seeing him when others could be bothered. Thank you Canyon :❤

Do Not Go Here! My 11 1/2 yr old Lab needed to be put down I called The first week of July and was told no vet available until the 13th I made an appt for 4:30 July 13th at 3:00 I was called by this office and told the vet went home sick we rescheduled for the next morning at 9:30 when we showed up they told us to go home the vet wouldn’t be in until 10 and needed to do some surgeries and they would call me I was so distraught by this point (this was the hardest decision I’ve ever made and I didn’t want him to suffer) We ended up going back because my girlfriend called them and told them this was wrong! I signed the paperwork and paid for a private cremation the day I was supposed to pick up my baby he wasn’t there Ashland acted like it wasn’t a big deal they’ll just bring him next week I told her this was unexceptionable and I wanted the name of the crematorium she refused to tell me where my baby was and that once the animal leaves there it’s out of their hands I then asked to speak to a mngr that’s when I spoke to Jackie she asked me to give her until 1 pm tomorrow when she didn’t call me by 1 I called the vet and was told she took the day off! I did yell at Ashland I wanted to know where my dog was and who had him she again would not tell me I told her she needed to call Jackie at home and have her call me Jackie called me back and said she had been trying to get a hold of the crematorium all day she then text me that she was on the phone with them she then called me and said the best they could do was bring him on Thursday I picked him up on Thursday and his name was wrong on the tags and the card I wanted that fixed and proof of a private cremation Jackie did not call me back so my girlfriend called her Jackie started yelling at my friend and then called me and said she had “bent over backwards for me and if I wanted anything else to talk to the vet” Jackie is very unprofessional she threw Ashland, the Vet and the Pet Crematorium under the bus and took NO responsibility for the mistakes made!
