These guys KNOW what they are doing. Both trainers, Mike and Josh, are so skilled and knowledgeable. I had them train both of my dogs, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Our situation was we had two female dogs, a 3 year old, Penny, and a 2 year old, Margot. Recently Penny (our smallest - mini schnauzer) was being very aggressive to not only all dogs around her, but to Margot as well, who is a lot bigger than her! One day Margot had enough and fought back when we were distracted. Penny ended up with stitches and that was the day we decided there needed to be a change! And that’s exactly what happened! What I really liked about Sit means Sit was they were completely transparent with everything. For example they told us that they keep the dogs for how ever long it takes for them to teach our dogs what they needed, whether that was 3 weeks or 6. Didn’t matter. What mattered was our dogs. They also told us everything they were doing with them and sent us pictures along the way. When our dogs came back to us they weren’t robots waiting for their next command, they were still our dogs we fell in love with but with better communication skills, knowledge, and obedience. It’s amazing what these guys can accomplish! Don’t go anywhere else, I did my research and if I had to do it all again, I would change a thing! These guys gave my dogs a second chance at life, and I owe them the world for that.

We could NOT be happier with our decision to send our dog through the Board & Train program with Mike! It was well-worth the investment. She has been completely reformed and Mike has given us the tools and training we need to help her continue with her new skills and obedience. We have been able to enjoy her so much more now because she’s not pulling on the leash, chasing animals, selectively listening etc. It’s not just that we can relax and enjoy her more now, but you can tell SHE is happier and more relaxed because she has a standard set and she knows what to do. I know she enjoys the stimulation and the challenges. She has overcome so much already. We’re excited to continue to teach her new things with the foundation she received from Top Notch. ???? Mike is SO passionate about what he does. It’s contagious and makes us excited! He gives these dogs the utmost attention and high-level training. We did not worry about her at all while she was gone. They took such good care of her and went above and beyond. Mikes ongoing training sessions and availability for questions or issues is priceless. I highly recommend the board & train program!!! We could not be happier with the progress Millie has made!!!! ????

We brought our 9 month chocolate lab Cody for Top Notch Dog Training’s board and train program. Our family was having issues with Cody resource guarding, stealing food off counters, jumping at strangers, running off with other dogs at the park, pulling on leash, unreliable off leash recall, etc. We have tried a few private training sessions with another dog trainer which was great but the progress was too slow and Cody was getting out of control. Mike at TNDT took the time to explain his program approach over the phone and suggested an evaluation to meet Cody. The big differences between TNDT’s board and train vs other popular B&Ts are: · Short 20 minute training sessions every hour, throughout the day. · Very limited number of dogs accepted for B&T at a time. · There’s no set # of weeks to complete the B&T. · Cody gets to interact with other trainers and kids as part of training. · They take dogs to Home Depot and Scheels for distraction training. · Large fenced-in backyard. Cody’s training took 5 weeks before he was ready to come back home. At the day of pick-up, Mike trained me on new commands, how to use E-collar, and gave us a packet of homework to continue reinforcement training at home. It was shocking on how well-behaved Cody was after 5 weeks. It's been a month since Cody returned home. Cody is not as well behaved as the day I picked him up but he can now: · “Place” on his mat on demand, to settle down. · Back away from his meal with the “Out” command. · “Sit” and not jump at strangers. · “Come” back even with distractions like playing with other dogs. · “Heal” when the garage door opens instead of bolting out. I highly recommend Top Notch Dog Training’s board and train program. The transformation in behavior is huge. Overall, the best result from this training is, Cody’s a happier and calmer dog.

Top dogs does a great job. We have a difficult-to-train dog. Owner Mike trained her effectively and humanely. Mike continues to work with us with the goal of long-term success. Mike is kind, easy to work with, and knows his stuff. Great trainer!

Luna is a good girl. Luna is a big GSD puppy and is so smart and sooooooo .....lol Top Notch Dogs has given her structure and given us tools to use in continuing her training. We are so happy with her progress and can’t wait to continue our journey with Top Notch Dogs! Thank you!

Mike at Top Notch Dogs has been incredible during each step of the training process for our two dogs. We had 2 dogs go through Board & Train together and he was wonderful at keeping us updated through our dogs process and the follow-up lessons once they were home. His passion and caring for dogs shows in all aspects of his work and will continue to refer him to anyone we know needing dog services.

We love top notch dogs! We have a wild Labrador puppy who needed some basic training / manners. We love the group classes- it’s a great way for him to socialize with other people and dogs and to practice his skills. Highly recommend! Mike is excellent at what he does.

Top notch has completely changed my relationship with my dog is the most positive way. I'm more confident in my dog as well as he is more confident in himself. Top notch is definitely worth the 5 star rating and in would definitely recommend.

Mike trained my pup. He is a rowdy large sheppard who lacked serious impulse control. Mike was so supportive and easy to work with. He was able to work around my super busy schedule. Thanks to Mike and and his training methods my family now has a safe and stable dog at home that we can enjoy.

I'm so glad we let Mike with Top Notch Dogs have our business. My German Shepard has learned so much. He didn't have any issues, but wanted to teach him how to sit, lay down, heel, walk on a leash without pulling. I couldn't be happier.

During the time we got Kratos , our 5 month old puppy we were super excited as anyone would be with a puppy but also at a lost when we trained as much as we could at home. My boyfriend and I love to explore city and outdoor life and here …

Our decision to reach out to Top Notch Dogs was one of the best ones we've ever made. Our 8 month old puppy, Arnold, was becoming aggressive toward our other dog and things were escalating quickly. We met with Mike, he outlined a game plan, and now Arnold is a polite boy. What we really appreciate is that Mike gave us plenty of training on how to prevent and disrupt Arnold when his aggression starts to be triggered. He has been super quick to respond to any issues that might crop up or questions we have. We also love the group training sessions- Arnold has a chance to learn things he wouldn't normally at home. Our deepest thanks to Mike and the team!!
