Awesome people. I have adopted 2 cats from them. My girlfriend has adopted 1 cat from them. I would definitely come back if I was looking for another animal. They even let me come in and just hang with the cats. Or at least they did before Covid...

Extremely unprofessional. Had already spoken with them about adopting 2 specific kittens and had all the paperwork in hand and filled out. Specifically asked when I got the paperwork if since we had everything in hand if that meant we had the kittens and was told we were good just needed to wait our turn to go over everything and pay the adoption fee. They gave the both kittens away right as we were sitting down to go over the paperwork. They lied to us and are only concerned with getting there money not in seeing the animals go to good homes.

I went there to adopt a maktese male dog and brought my pup along to see how they would get along. My pup was full of energy and wanted to play but the Maltese was timid. The girls who were in the room with us wouldn’t allow them to get together enough to see how they got along. I was refused adoption because the young girls thought my dog was too aggressive when all he wanted to do was play. My dog isn’t the least bit aggressive with other dogs. He’s just young and overly friendly. I feel the girls working at the SPCA in Reno are not trained well enough to make the decision about aggression unless the dog is snarling or nipping (which never occurred) and they panicked when my pup jumped toward the Maltese after smelling noses. I will admit my pup is a jumper/bounded and greets everyone by jumping around. I had my pup in training and the instructor said he doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body but his youth kept me from being able to adopt a dog from that shelter.

Found a stray animal and took it to their location. Even though their site says you can't bring animals there they did not accept the animal and then wanted to see it which makes no sense at all? I would not go back there

Don't take your animals here if you want them to be still alive. If you sign the waiver your animals will die

Cat got deathly ill after a simple spay procedure…. I guess they are careless heartless monsters?? They wouldn’t help my cat after they messed up the procedure. Now I must go to the emergency vet and pray she will survive. DO NOT GET YOUR ANIMALS FIXED. It’s cruel. I thought it was responsible but now seeing my kitty die, fug this!

Our new puppy needed his vaccines and to be honest veterinarians are getting too expensive, especially for people on a fixed income. They vaccinated our puppy and gave him a ID chip at a rate that's affordable for retired people. They're so friendly, helpful and kind. We got one of our cats there ten years ago and he gets his vaccines there as well. We're very lucky to have this wonderful organization in our community.

Went to the low cost spay and neuter clinic. All the staff were very informative about post surgery rules. My dogs wound is healing very nice and there were no complications.

Knowledgeable and invested staff. Responses are slow though, due to covid. Seems that more staff are in in the weekends. I won't hesitate to go back when I'm looking for a new pet. This good boy agrees!

Have only used the vaccine/microchip clinic here. It is done in a large room with a small area behind screening where the shots are actually given. You fill out the paperwork first and then sit and wait, but it usually runs very quick. Your pet is weighed, the shots are given by the vet with the techs assisting, then you step off to the side to pay. I like the clinic here better than the one at the Nevada Humane Society because they also offer FELV and FIV testing for cats as well as the FELV vaccine which the NHS does not do at their clinic.
