Nice facility and the staff seem to genuinely care about your pet

1st encounter with Gracie and the staff was positive! Looking forward to her going to daycare.

Original found this place because I was in a pinch but man am I happy to send my dogs here! My dogs cannot contain themselves on their way to adventure pet. And are so very tired when they get home. The staff is awesome and the owner is kind!

This is absolutely the best day camp and boarding facility for your pup. My little girl has really come out of her shell here. My vet says a tired dog is a happy dog, and she comes home completely wiped out. The staff is fantastic and the owners have a passion for what they do. Not the cheapest place in town but worth every penny in my book.

Too many dogs in the bottom yard for the amount of space, with only ONE staff member in the yard at the most recent daycamp visit. One large dog (German Shepherd) isolated on the sloping area they call the "side yard." Staff member skirted around answering my questions at drop off when I asked how long dogs were left in the separate kennels that are inside the yard (I'm assuming being placed in those for inappropriate behavior?), as well as if the dogs are rotated through different areas/yards throughout the day. Told at pick up that my puppy was interjecting herself and "acting as referee" when other dogs were "playing" too roughly. Again, it was stressed that she was NOT starting anything, just trying to get other dogs to mind their manners, which they felt could potentially lead to HER getting hurt. When I asked if this was the first incident (as nothing had been mentioned to me at prior pick ups), I was told, "No, but we thought maybe she would outgrow it." I question the training/experience of the staff that works here to properly read dog body language and behavior, as well as how to adequately intervene before issues escalate, versus the ability to safely and efficiently manage a group of both mixed size and temperament dogs that is too large for the provided space to begin with. Plenty of agitated and barking dogs at both drop off and pick up from the dogs in the yard, and my puppy pulling hard to get back to my vehicle when I retrieved her (she doesn't even do this at the Vet). Much left to be desired here, and if my dog was not 65 pounds I quite honestly would feel unsafe even leaving her here.

Neighbors dog got giardia there 2xs. Staff was nice when I picked the pup up, but I think they are overwhelmed with too many dogs

An amazing dog daycare. They cater to your dog's needs and give them the kind of experience that's best for your dog.

Adventure pet is the best equipped, best staffed facility of its kind in the region. The rates are reasonable the staff are flexible, and most important of all the dogs love it!

They offer outdoor activities for dogs and seem to generally love canines.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I want to first begin with my evaluation. Not only were the staff NOT wearing masks, but there was little to no communication with me on what was happening with my pet. I also had a chance to meet the owners who were also not wearing masks. In my opinion, this is extremely unprofessional. However, a bad taste in my mouth isn't normally enough to stray me away from a business. When I arrived for my evaluation I drove by their main yard, which is way too small for the amount of dogs that I saw. Again, not the main issue. THEY HAD SMALL DOGS AND SHORT HAIR DOGS OUTSIDE IN 30 DEGREE WEATHER??! The yards are only rock, which is tough on the paw pads of the dogs. Not to mention that the staff looked uncaring and freezing! Bring your dogs and people inside maybe? Not only are they unprofessional, they do NOT take care of your animals. I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy. I will most definitely be bringing my business elsewhere.

I brought my dog here a little while ago. Not only was my dog injured, but the staff didn't even notice/tell me. Not good for your animals. Do not send your dog here

My dog loves going there and if he's happy, I'm happy! Prices are reasonable too. I like that they give your dog an evaluation (with other dogs) before allowing him/her to play with the other dogs in their daycare for any extended period of time.

Adventure Pet is the best! Troy and Stephanie have been taking our two critters for excursions for about 6 years now: as a result, they now know what day of the week it is even before they get picked up! ???? The faculty is huge, clean and modern, and our dogs go berserk when they figure out where they’re going for boarding or daycare. Check out Adventure Pet - your rowdy dogs will love it! ????????

Adventure Pet has been a perfect fit for our not-so easy pup! There’s no where else I trust dropping off our 92 lb. fur baby for day care and boarding. From the moment we walked in, we loved that they do evaluations on dogs to make sure they are a good fit and not a safety issue to any other dogs or people. Our dog can be a bit particular with who he likes and is slow to warm up to people, but Adventure Pet has done a great job getting to know him and is always patient with him. I highly recommend this place for day care or boarding your dog! We wouldn’t go anywhere else in Reno after finding this gem!

I’ve now boarded my dogs there twice for a weekend ( 3 Nights ). Both times they have come home not being able to walk because their paws are blistered.

Our two pups Huckleberry and Finnegan absolutely love Adventure Pet. We use them for boarding and day care. They treat them well and know their names upon arrival and greet them warmly. They come home exhausted and happy (but always dirty-however they do offer baths!), almost always falling asleep in the car on the way home. Finnegan did puppy training there when he was little and we can't wait for more training opportunities through them! Thanks Adventure Pet!

I can't say enough positive things about Adventure Pet. I've been taking my two corgis there for a year. The facility is clean, safe, and the staff know my dogs well. My grumpy older pup and my bouncy social baby both love it there. I've been thrilled with the expedition service, the daycamp option, and boarding. Every time my dogs return, they are exhausted and happy. I attached the pic I took after a 12-hour daycamp. Normally my older dog wants to keep to himself. After a long day of running around, he's too tired to protest cuddles.

Adventure pet is amazing. I take my dogs Cocoa and Charlee (who is blind and deaf) to their daycare and my dogs literally wait by my truck to go. The staff is amazing and I know my dogs are being loved on and are safe while they are there. They also do an amazing job with boarding when I'm out of town. I get sick from time to time as I have had two heart transplants and adventure pet never hesitates to step up and help me with my dogs when I need them. I highly recommend having them watch your fur babies . You will not be disappointed

This place is a disaster. They have an ‘evaluation’ before a dog may come but that seems not to be affective as many dog fights happen and staff seems lost

This is simply a wonderful place. We feel very comfortable leaving our beloved dogs here. They are well taken care of and come home happy. The owners are very caring, responsive, and knowledgeable about dogs. The facility is clean and well organized. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Our GSB's, Bugatti and Veyron, love AP! Friendly/exceptional customer service from Troy and his staff add to the quality of care from this facility. The facility is clean and sophisticated; I feel confident leaving our fur babies in the hands of the skilled/caring staff at Adventure Pet.

When relocating to Reno last year, one of our top priorities was finding care for our pup with our frequent work travel. Fortunately Adventure Pet Basecamp opened just as we arrived in town. We can not say enough good things about this entire operation. We now have 2 dogs and it is their home away from home. Last winter, our biggest concern with the impending arrival of our first baby was what we would do with our pup if we had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. One of the owners gave me his personal cell number to call at any hour of the night. Fortunately, we didn't have to call him in the middle of the night, but this is the level of service and commitment in the care they give our furry family members! We could not be more grateful :)
