Caring, knowledge, information people, as was my experience, most fortunately, assisted me by introducing me to all the wonderful, beautiful, babies! Little Sonny, (going on 2), has been such a comfort to me this past year. I'm thankful for all the rescuers out there utilizing/donating their time and resources in attempts to watch out and care for the vulnerable.

I went in because I searched online same day cat adoption. My stepmom and older brother recently passed away so we were in need of a therapy pet for our family to get us through these tough times. The lady there was nice but seemed as if she did not want me to adopt. I don't knownif it was a race thing because of the color of my skin but she told me I need to apply on line and spend more time with the cat before I adopt. I spent almost an hour in there since they were getting ready to close at 7. Since it's the new year, I didn't feel like giving into her negative and arguing why their website specifically said same day adoption and here she is turning me away. If you are changing your rules for adoption from what is stated on line, the change it online instead of springing it on at the last minute. I don't think I will be adopting from here after all and I was also considering providing a generous donation. Thanks but no thanks. Very disappointed would have been client.

This new elderly lady kicked us out just because our family was “too” many people. We were seriously thinking of adopting a female kitty named Shiloh, when the elderly lady told us that she did not want to see us all there after telling me we all should go inside to all agree if the cat was our choice. Very rude and unprofessional of her to point her finger at us then to the door. Maybe she just does not like Latinos. The other employees were not egotistical as this new employee but rather nice to us. Hope you guys correct this. Thankfully my mother and siblings did not get too discouraged and will definitely try better adoption centers and avoid this one.

It feels like you are not only adopting a cat/kitty here, but they match you to the cat who will love you and become your family… I found my sister (Cordelia) here! And I’m so in love since then. Thank you so much!! All you need is love and a cat~~~

The best thing about this place is that you can spend time with cats as much as you like.

I’ve adopted 3 cats here over the years. Great place. Very loving staff and so many cats to visit with means you can choose one with a temperament that fits you.

We got Luon and he is the perfect addition to our family. The adoption center had plenty of pretty cats to choice from. We hit the jackpot cause he is sweet, playful, and a lovebug. He gets along fantastic with our two other dog kids.

These folks work very hard to rescue cats. We adopted out cat from them. Perhaps you too will meet your future furry friend here.

I love your concept and what you do but I had a horrible experience. A pair of kittens were pretty much lobbed onto me and I've been trying to find foster. Lady who called back not only rejected the kittens and told me no one would want them, but she also insulted my character by throwing in a snide remark that I wouldn't get the momma cat because she was too good at managing the rats at my place. Like... kind of a trashy classist remark.

Please know that cats w FIV can live full lives and to an very old age of 18 to 20 years old. This is not a death sentence in any way. Old school, unknowlegable vets put cats down for this. It does not past onto another cat unless bad fighting w wounds or biting. A kitten can test positive for it but not even have it after 6 months old because the mother gave it its antibodies. Retest after 6 months old again and usually negative. If it has an upper respiratory disease treat it for that and it will get well. Please always talk to more than one vet before putting an animal down. 2nd opinions could save y animals live!

I wanted a young or medium age female for my 13 year old boy cat. I adopted a beautiful little torbie, only 2.5 years old. Was told she was shy. That is putting it mildly! She act like a scared abused kitty, and flinches. No idea what happened to her, or if she is just wild. The people at shelter were having problems adopting her. She is so pretty and sweet, I have had her 3 weeks, but still, she only comes out at night when me and my boy cat sleep. Hopeful that eventually, I can get her to just relax more. Beautiful little girl.

Found my perfect baby kitten at this place. I am so glad that there are organizations like this one saving countless lives! Thanks to volunteers for their selfless work

Cozy place with a beautiful setup and obviously fantastic care of the cats. The two ladies acting as staff were very friendly and helped me get acquainted with my new furry family member.

Need a kitty? Come here! Already spayed/neutered with shots! And well taken care of. :) In addition to regular kitties, the shelter has many FIV+ kitties that need homes! All FIV+ kitties adopted from 9 Lives get free teeth cleaning for the rest of their lives! Learn about FIV first, but my FIV+ kitty (her name is Sassy) is healthy, adorable, and I save a bundle on teeth cleaning.

Can I give this place less than one star? Seriously. I understand their desire to help the endless, homeless cat population. And catch and release. And fostering. But they are overwhelmed with the sheer volume of cats and they frankly aren't housing them humanely enough at both locations, but especially their new one. Way too many cats in each room. Cats are being injured by other cats. Not enough space. Heard some volunteers stating certain cats were "mean". Well, who wouldn't be, cramming 60 cats in a room? We adopted one of those "mean" ones, and he's the nicest cat I've ever had! And came with infections galore because the humans and vet cannot keep up with hundreds of cats and proper daily health care. AND, they should be regularly clipping nails/claws, and somehow separate out more aggressive and terrified cats from this nightmare. I only hope people adopt lots and lots of cats to diminish numbers. Or spay/neuter more. But my experience with other no-kill shelters and this one? This place left me angry, heartbroken and in tears. I sat letting cats absolutely crying. Couldnt hold it in, conditions are so bad. Good, healthy cats are getting maimed by overcrowding. Cats are sad and depressed, as well as actively sick. That's just cruel. Not a humane approach any longer. God-awful for the cats, young and old. Don't just take my word, they've gotten a reputation for poor care and overcrowded conditions from many cats fosters and vets. Our "mean" cat is just the sweetest boy. So glad we chose him because volunteers were telling potential adopters not to choose him. We lucked out. If you go, take several home with you. Give a group a chance for a happy safe home. What trauma for them.

Dr. R is an inspiring lady, she does so much for cats in need and for people in the community. They have some amazing volunteers who are a joy to interact with. I appreciate all the work they do greatly

They love cats at least as much as I do. Busy at times, but able to accommodate.

They were amazing. I will never go anyplace else for vaccinations for my cats. They also chipped them. They actually care about animals. They were so gentle with them and fast. Also the prices are amazing.

You have to adopt in pairs of kittens. I can only have one kitten not two or more. That sucks there was a kitten I really liked!

Love this place - my family and I visit at least every other month just to play and visit with the kitties. We adopted our own cat from the previous location. It's mostly run by volunteers, and just so fun to spend time surrounded by cats!

The best staff and place to adopt your new family member. This is a no kill shelter and they work really hard to match you with the right pet.

There are just plenty of cats, kittens to choose from, and I have to say, the entire adoption procedure was really smooth and fast. The office was really helpful and they provided the required documents, medication (my kitten had a minor respiratory infection) including tick and flea prevention. And the staffs there were really warm and nice. I have got my kitten for 5 weeks now, he is purr-fect!

I am not one to write reviews, especially bad ones...but. I bought a 7 month old cat in February for my wife. I was Told that She was healthy just had a minor respiratory infection. Fast forward to now we just had to put her down Monday 09/08/2020. She was not as energetic, stopped jumping, and eventually stopped wanting to drink water or eat. Took her to vet for Blood test that is when we find out that she was born with the incurable disease FIV. I know that it is hard to detect in you cats but we only had her for 6 month. My wife, Kids, and myself are devastated. Our Vet said that it should have been noticed with a blood test since her life span was so short, and she never had any run in's with any unfamiliar cats and she was mainly kept indoors. All i can say is get your own blood test done. save yourself some Heart Break. Verify yourself with your own vet ASAP RIP Chihiro 7/17/19--9/08/20
