I cannot give NorCal Pet Services enough accolades for their staff, the resort style boarding, and the communication and updates provided while I was away from my fur children ????!! I have brought them to two other places over the years, and after the service I received at NorCal Pet Services, I will not bring them anywhere else! I now live in Ukiah and I tried the boarding here. After that experience, I will make it a point to drive all the way to Redding to board my dogs at NorCal Pet Services. I will not book them for a stay anywhere else!! My Italian Cane Corso (160 lbs) has separation anxiety and the staff realized that right away and took the necessary steps to make him feel at home. I do not understand a previous review written about how the staff is too inexperienced to handle her 90 lb dog, when my dog is nearly double that and he got the upmost care. I would absolutely recommend this business to all of my friends and family and anyone out there looking for pet boarding services. Not to mention their pricing is extremely reasonable! Once you take your pet here, you won’t want to go anywhere else ????❤️

They are a decent place but they do not seem well trained in taking care of bigger dogs. My dog is a bit skiddish when coming to new places and shy, and they didn’t seem very knowledgeable on how to make big, shy/timid dogs feel comfortable—a real professional would know how to. They also couldn’t figure out how to cut my dog’s nails, because she was pulling her feet away, something that most dogs do but if you know how to handle big dogs it’s not a problem. So I have to go to a place that is better trained with dogs to get her full grooming. A trained dog professional knows how to take control on dogs and lead the way. I’ve lived in many cities with my dog and never had a problem with getting her nails trimmed. I had high hopes about boarding my dog here when I leave on vacation, but they don’t seem well trained around dogs and seemed more uncomfortable in handling bigger dogs. My dog is 90 lbs by the way and the usual sweet natured but timid at first personality. I don’t feel comfortable bringing her here and the staff seems very young and inexperienced in animal care. If you have big dogs, I’d go somewhere else. They seem more skiddish themselves of a big sweet dogs rather than know how to handle them. Bath was great (which is why I’m giving 3 stars), but general vibe was: “we are clueless in handling bigger dogs.” Disappointed and lackluster experience.

So happy with our experience at NorCal. I hate having to board my pups but the staff made me feel so confident in the level of care they would receive, it eased any anxiety. The facility is very clean. The staff are compassionate, answered all of my questions and even sent me pictures of my babies. Rates are very reasonable. You won’t be disappointed here. I had to board my dog Brutus for 10 days when we recently went to Hawaii. Normally a family member will watch him...well, we all went. I was so nervous I almost cancelled my trip. He has never been away from me 10 days. He doesn't always warm up to strangers right away, and he is dog aggressive. I would highly recommend this place, it exceeded my expectations. Everyone working there is super caring, they reassured me when I dropped him off, they called me, they texted me pictures of him and let me know how he was doing. I picked him up and you can tell he was well taken care of, we went right back to our normal routine. I would absolutely use Nor Cal pet services again, very professional and you can trust them.

Our dog, a female lab mix, does not like strangers and I was skeptical boarding her for the first time. I wasn't sure how she would react but she quickly made friends with the staff and that made my heart happy. If our dog is happy, we are happy. They have our business.

Max, my mini dachshund, spends his day at doggy day care while I am at work - he loves it, and I am so pleased that this services is available.

I would recommend this business to anyone who needs a pet sitter. It was my dogs first experience and they were great with him!

In the beginning of January 2019 we booked a stay for our 120lb child (Bullmastiff Addie) for a long weekend. Not only is this facility super clean its is painted bright colors making it cheerful and not gloomy like a cement kennel. The staff (especially Johnny) were absolutely amazing. Each pet gets personalized attention. We could not be happier and already have another vacation for her booked!

I had never boarded my almost 12 year old dog before and they offered a room for rough dogs the four days he was there he did absolutely great! Will go back he loves his friends at Nor Cal!!

I took 4 of my dogs to Nor Cal for boarding and they were placed together in a large room. They were comfortable since they were together. The staff is awesome; so caring and willing to make sure your pet has the best care during their stay. I will definitely return for boarding my dogs. The entire building is spotless. Thank you for taking such good care of my puppies.

Friendly service and a great staff

I travel to Redding on a monthly basis for my work. For two years, Nor Cal Pet Services has been caring for my beloved travel companions, two Chihuahuas. I drop them off in the morning before my meetings and pick them up in the afternoon. During their monthly doggy daycare stays, the Nor Cal staff take wonderful care of my little ones and attend to their little personalities with respect. I highly recommend this business for anyone needing to board their fur babies or wanting quality doggy daycare.

Beautiful facility. All kennels are indoors. They have a playroom as well. The staff also provide dog companionship during their down time. I trust that my animal will receive the best care.
