They seemed to be good until after a while my GS became difficult for them. They kept prescribing sedatives for before he came in but didn't seem to work for them. After the 3rd weekend in a row of giving him sedatives they somehow were able to give him a shot to knock him out so they could do what was needed. I've since found another Vet and it only took one visit Without Any sedatives and they took their time and were able to give his shots and checkup.

Dr Johnson and her staff are really wonderful people. Caring, knowledgeable, and educational. The overall conversation is one of teamwork. I have been a VCA customer for about 20 years! Starting at the Old Winery Road location. We are on our 5th dog as a patient. We have seen VCA grow along the way. VCA has always had a obvious goal to get it right. The balance between all the variables of modern veterinary care. Not to mention how difficult it is to please all pet owners. We can be a quirky bunch. I have had to look in the mirror more than once along the way and ask myself to grow. To understand what I expect from my vet and what I should expect from myself. In doing so I have always ended up valuing my VCA experience. Dr Johnson definitely is at the top of my already great relationship with VCA. We have worked through beginning of life and end of life moments. She has helped greatly in difficult decisions. Dr J. has never been pushy about what I should decide. She has always been conscious about cost and compassion. Just when I thought I knew it all I met Dr J. and realized I have more to achieve as an experienced dog owner. Our family is better because of Dr Johnson and VCA. We just love our dog. Such a valued part of our family. What I experience and learn from Dr Johnson and her staff transitions to family conversations and learning opportunities. We are better because of it. We are a team. Thank you Dr Johnson, your excellent staff, and VCA.

Great experience!! They are very empathetic to their customers and animal friend. They explain all what they recommend to do and the cost beforehand so the customer has full control over what is done vs not. Thank you VCA for all you do for our animal families at decent prices!!

Great food friendly helpful staff

I had to put my cat down and they were so caring and understanding. They were so gentle with her and me. I can't say enough good things about everyone that works here. I want to thank them all for helping me and my beautiful kitty of 19 years.

Been taking my dogs here for 12 plus years... sold to VCA... now my dogs are just a number and cash flow.. been waiting 2 weeks for a surgery date... guess I will find a place that actually cares about my fur babies... no call.. nothing.. when I called to ask what was going on,... still working on it..bye ... my dog actually matters so I will find a new vet!

Dr Johnson listens to your pets symptoms and creates a plan with you to cater to your specific pets needs. The vet techs are top of the line. They greet each pet as if they were their own and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Love Dr. Johnson and all her staff. Always a pleasant, professional experience. Super knowledgeable, understanding, compassionate.

Told me it would take over a month to see my dog. Ridiculous even with this covid. What a joke. Not surprised after reading the reviews. Read the reviews . Or heck just call and make your judgment after speaking with them. What a waste of time.

Curb service was very compassionate and caring. I needed an EMERGENCY appointment and I got right in.

We love the attention we and our dog get when we come in. The doctors do a great job giving us the individual attention we need each time. They've helped us bring baby dogs up in this world as well as helping us at end of life times with a few dogs which can be painful. Anyways they're always cool at VCA Mather

The staff at this VCA is wonderful! It can be hard sometimes going to the vet, but these folks make going to the vet as easy as possible! We love them all there! Thank you for the great job you do!

If you have deep pockets this is a great place to take your pet. Terrible location though.

Very sweet people here. They took such great care of my Cookie Monster tortoise shell calico feisty kitty. Also loved how they wrote down the names of all patients for the day on a whiteboard to welcome them!

Kind and gentle staff with my dog. I love Dr Grimm, she knows my dog just as well as I do following just 3 visits. The office is clean and the front counter is always stocked with yummy treats. I would recommend this vet office to all of my friends and family

11:30 Appointment did'nt get started until 12 noon then 10 min later the vet comes in . I guess they're short-staffed on the weekend so prepare to be waiting in the waiting room for a little bit
