I worked with Chris a couple of times before doing the boarding training. My husky was very very stubborn and did not like to listen. We had used another trainer before going to Chris with Elevated Canine Academy. She could not get Odin to listen. Chris did a fantastic job with our Odin. I got a 4 month old doberman as my first working dog. I was definitely a bit in over my head as I've never had a high energy dog. I reached out to ECA and met Chris. Within the first initial consultation, before my dog's three week board and train, chris gave me so many useful advice on how to build value in myself during training. When Kai, my doberman, came back from his 3 week board and train, he was a completely transformed dog. Before his board and train, Kai would be pulling the leash and tripping me whenever we went for a walk. After training, Kai stopped tugging on the leash. Instead, he walked right next to me and he learned to heel whenever I stopped walking. Kai turned into such a calm and obedient dog within his 3 weeks with Chris. He has excellent recall skills now too. We had a bit of trouble as I live in a high rise building in downtown. Chris cares about his clients and dogs. Chris knew I was an international student without family here and he provided boarding for my dog for a weekend without a thought, when we ran into a hiccup in my apartment building. Without chris, I really don't know what I would've done. Everytime Kai sees Chris, even months after his board and train, Kai would be back on his A game because he knew it was training time. Training with Chris has been so efficient and effective, I've went ahead and purchased more classes with him to improve my skills of training Kai. I can not stress enough how much I recommend Chris from ECA. You definitely won't regret choosing ECA.

I've been working my Doberman with Chris for the past several months, and am really blown away by the results. My dog is particularly anti-social and strong-willed, and Chris has helped me learn how to be a better handler for walks and more. Highly recommend!!

Where do I begin... Let me start off by saying that sending my dog to board and train with Elevated Canine Academy was a complete game changer!! We got this girl during peak COVID times and although we put in a ton of work with her from 7-8 weeks old (now 15 months), she started showing signs of concerning behavior associated with fear and lack of confidence. This meant that taking her anywhere was an ordeal and stressful for everyone (her included). Additionally, she is very instinctive and when she wants to go... she goes!!! This meant that walking was not enjoyable for any of us. Fast forward 3 months after she returned from board and train with Elevated, she is a completely new and improved version of herself. Her obedience is next level.. she responds the first time with consistency. She continues to build on her confidence and I can take her anywhere with me now, which has opened up a world of discovery for her. I myself have the tools to make sure she gets the most out of the experience and situation, knowing what to do and how to manage different scenarios. She looks to me for guidance and reassurance vs. freaking out and taking matters into her own hands. Lastly, she’s a totally different dog on the leash with walking, doesn’t tow me along anymore and we run together all the time. She loves it!! Oscar, Darshan, and Alexia are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable folks in terms of training your dog and getting the best out of your dog. Not only have they taught me and my girl a ton, they continue to provide guidance and answer questions I have about different things. To me, that’s white glove service for you. We’ve built up a solid rapport and have become good friends. To anyone who is questioning whether or not training your dog is worth it, I have one piece of advice for you... don’t think on it, just do it!!! You’ll thank yourself later and your dog will thank you too.

We can walk our dog now! I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is! Aside from that, he is more attentive and more driven to obey, rather than being all over the place and constantly distracted by every little thing. They also went the extra mile to make sure that our Xolo (hairless) dog got the proper skin care he needed. I HIGHLY recommend Oscar and his team over at Elevated Canine Academy for ALL dog training. Everyone in his team is very respectful and professional. This is the place to take your dog! My boy Wattson is definitely a handful, but has some basic obedience training. Oscar, Chris, Isaac and team have been great, I travel a lot for work and and I don’t worry at all leaving my boy in their very capable hands. We also do the 1 on 1 training, I’ve only had the opportunity to work with Oscar, but he has been instrumental in working with Wattson’s impulse control and continued obedience. Excited to build on his base training and expand his education. We’re looking forward to our next class!

We’ve now been working with Elevated Canine Academy for over 6 months and we’re beyond pleased with the results and relationship we’ve had the opportunity of making with Oscar and his team. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Elevated Canine Academy and Trainer, Chris Calabrese. They are very easy to work with and respond quickly whenever I’ve had any questions. Chris has been very professional yet personable and makes it a pleasure to work with him. My dogs love him and he is wonderful with them. I had my 8 month old Boxer puppy, Lucy, in their Board and Train program for 3 weeks and she came home a completely different dog. She knows all her basic obedience commands. I can walk her on a loose leash and she no longer barks and pulls when she sees another dog. She has great manners when she meets people and lets them pet her without jumping all over them. While Lucy was in training, my 2 year old Boxer, Daisy, and I have been going for one on one training with Chris a couple times a week and that’s been a fabulous experience. Daisy and I have both learned so much. I feel so much more confident because I trust her to not take off when she’s off leash. This is super important because my husband and I have started traveling in our RV and we take both dogs with us. We don’t want to have to worry about them running out of the motorhome and taking off. I highly recommend Elevated Canine Academy to anyone who is looking for training for their dogs. They are the best!!

Oscar can put for a seminar and was nothing short of amazing. It is clear that he not only knows how to work with dogs but was able to communicate his ideas and philosophies to the owner/handler. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with him. I strongly recommend his businesses.

Chris was very responsive and professional with our french bulldog Royce. Our dog was very energetic and persistent/ stubborn and we didn’t know where to begin with the training. We decided to do board and train with Chris for 3 weeks, and Royce came back as a whole different dog. He used to chase our new cat around, did not know how to walk on a leash, let alone would not take “no” for an answer. He came back more disciplined and now have a stronger foundation to continue with his training.

Chris is my dog trainer and he’s been amazing! He has very applicable lessons and his energy with my pup is very entertaining and energetic! Highly recommend you guys pick him as your trainer

After searching for a trainer for our first CC puppy, Remi, we finally found Elevated and are so glad we did! I came across videos of Oscar and his team on Instagram and was so impressed! I emailed to find out some information and got a quick and thorough response from Alexia. She explained how everything works, what options we had for scheduling and even let me know she could set up in-home training for us since Remi was still too young to venture out in public. We were quickly matched up with Chris for in-home training and were able to fill out all of the forms and pay for the lessons online, it was so quick and easy! Chris has been coming to our house every week since then to work with Remi. The training has been amazing! Remi is now 16 weeks old (started at 9 weeks) and she is already doing so well! We are blown away every week when we work with Chris. Remi learns something new each week and the way Chris teaches just makes so much sense! He makes sure to ask us each week if there have been any issues or anything he can help us correct and always has a solution. He even answers our questions and gives tips and encouragement throughout the week. We can't say enough good things about Elevated and our experience with Chris! We are looking forward to the 3-week board & train we have scheduled with Chris next month and can't wait to see the difference it makes in Remi! Bottom line, get your dog ELEVATED! You won't regret it!

Absolutely the best trainer out. My guy Rex is just a different and better dog now. I’m already signed to continue work with these guys. Don’t sleep! Also this is my first online review ever and I don’t ever do this stuff but these guys are the truth and saved my dogs life.

This review is LONG OVERDUE. Oscar is amazing. We sent our Golden Retriever, Daisy, after trying training ourselves at home & spending money at petsmart with a trainer. None of it helped until we came across Elevated Canine Academy. We decided to commit & the difference was amazing we had a puppy who would not listen and was hard to manage on walks. Upon her return she was so much calmer and obedient now we can gladly walk her off leash and know she won't be running into the street . After seeing the amazing work he did with our girl we will be taking our new puppies in the future. There's no one else we would trust with our dogs!

Oscar has done a great job training my dog. I was impressed by his attentiveness to detail and truly understanding what I was looking for from the training. He began by asking about my goals and then developing a plan to ultimately reach them. I have seen a big difference in such a short amount of time. I was very particular about who I worked with since I intended on training my dog for sport. After researching and trying multiple facilities/trainers, it is safe to say I would recommend Oscar to anybody in need of dog training.

Being a new large breed dog owner (Cane Corso), I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. I was having second thoughts, and a close friend of mine recommended Oscar, and Elevated Canine. Still hesitant, because it is a major commitment, i took the leap of faith and took my dog in. I've mad a ton of bad decisions in life, but this one, I struck gold. This is training like no other. This is like joining a new family. Your dog is treated as one of their own. My dog probably wanted to stay there honestly. they are that good. Oscar and Christian have a system that far exceeds anything you could dream up. You come in asking for one thing, and you most definitely get more than you bargained for. Not only do they train your puppy, they train you. The dog was the easy part. Training me to believe, and to commit was the challenge. Not only did I walk away feeling confident and proud of how well trained and well mannered my dog is, I also felt reassured knowing i could always reach out for more guidance and assistance if things ever went off track. You don't get that anywhere else. If you want the total package, and full obedience experience, and want it right the 1st time, this is the only choice.
