Banfield Pet Hospital Pinole, California

Very unfair policy -- they cancelled my appointment because I was 15 minutes late, even though the reason I was late was only because it was very hard to find -- no signs anywhere in the mall in which it's located except on their storefront, which is tucked away behind Panera bread. It's NOT located in a PetSmart so don't look for the PetSmart. I called them for directions when I was 5 minutes late, but since it took me 12 more minutes to find them they refused to see my limping cat. Unfair and crummy business practice for a place that claims to care about your pets. :(

Nice doctors and staff. Very conscientious of the pets and their owners during these troubled times.

I called to find out what to do about my pet dog passing away...I felt so helpless...the girl answered my call and just hearing the kindness in her voice brought me a calmness I needed. She advised me, gave me costs but more importantly her being kind and with a gentleness about her was what I needed. I only wish I had asked her name. I need to thank her for all she did for me...which she did 100%.

We made our appointment 2 weeks ahead and took some time off to take our dog for his first vet visit. When we got here, the hospital was closed. The staff at pet smart told us it’s closed and that we should have gotten a phone call but we never did. We are Very disappointed with their professionalism and how inconsiderate they are with customers’ time. Would definitely not recommend. Worst thing is, google map store hours was just updated 2 days ago and it still says it’s open now.

Love this place. I don't even have a slight complaint about BPH. Great knowledgable, friendly, and caring staff.

Love this vet hospital in pets mart. They are very caring and knowledgeable. I wish they had a dart gun so they could use it to put my dog to sleep so he could get a x ray and get his ear medication, anal glands done, nails cut. God please Lord help us.

Completed my externship site here for the Veterinary Technician program. Everyone was welcoming since the first day. The doctors are really passionate and caring, especially when it comes to their patients. Every patient is treated with the highest quality of care.

Terrible. ALL they want is money. I have the plan and still they find a way to get more money from you. I took my dog dental and rejected all tests. And stll they run them because they said í agreed. I said no to the lady ar front desk and inital them no... I dont want those test. Anyways my plan has 2 lab test... And used 1 si months before. A mistske the lady did, or a trick they use yo make more money. Unhappy rip out. Dont bring your dogs here. Or be aware of the charges before they trick them.

I've been bringing my baby here since 2010, when she was 8wks old. She loves the staff, and they take really good care of her. I'm not a fan of the corporate change in policies & reduction in staff. We used to get same day appointments, especially when its medically urgent, now we have to wait a week or 2 to her in. I have to use a back up vet for emergencies.

My dog was ambushed by a family of raccoons. The Banfield staff blew me away with their concern. I really appreciate the professionalism and care. Thank you Banfield in Pinole ????????????

Horrible customer service and overall incompetent. Spent 20 minutes trying to make an appointment for a dental. They even called the day before. But no one checked my plan till the day of at 7am to find that the dental wasn't covered. Overall they just stuff your animal with useless test and uneccessary medication for profit. They do medical tests and give antibiotics/vaccines before they even get the results of the medical tests. Biggest waste of time and money.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They work hard to solve problems with pets. The convenience of having a pet hospital and Veterinary Services combined with a pet retail store is very helpful for people with busy lives.

Called to ask if they can clip the nails of our pet and they tell me it first needs a rabies injection of which the price is 21 +70. Quite expensive so I let them know I need to think about it. Suddenly there is a coupon on the internet wich removes the 70 if I print it out. When I call back to make an appointment, where I specifically mention it's for the rabies injection (which they required themselves in the first place) I get an appointment for 17:30 the day after tomorrow. After I get there and signed in mentioning I have an appointment for 17:30 they let me wait for half an hour while all kinds of people that came after me walk in. Only when I ask what is going on and let them know I have to pick someone up they let me see the vet. Then the vet simply tells me, just like that, that they don't carry rabies and don't do appointments at that time, just walk ins. Incredibly disrespectful.
