The entire staff at East Petaluma Animal Hospital are kind, friendly, compassionate and are genuinely concerned about your pets well being. I've taken my dogs here for years. I won't go anywhere else

Dr. Rupiper gets my deepest thanks. From teaching me the home-care steps after the appt. to save my chicken after a dog attack/gangrene infection, to the interventions he's done with my cats, I truly appreciate his ability to quickly diagnose and explain fully what is happening. He also gives tiers of care based on what you can afford at the time. I appreciate this tremendously.

I am grateful to have Dr. Rupiper and staff to rely on. I am a new bird parent and I know they have our backs. I had a crisis, my fault, last week and rushed my bird to EPAH. They took great care of my Cocoa and after allowing me to take her home that afternoon with instructions, they called the next day to check on us. That is nice. They care

My vet retired and my dog was having, What I thought to be, breathing issues. I called two Vets that both said they couldn’t get me in for at least seven days. East Petaluma veterinary got me in in a day and a half not only that they allowed me to bring my dog from the car in when I realized I didn’t have her up-to-date on vaccinations. They were very upfront about the price, there was no pressure, there was no sales pitch, and everyone was very friendly and professional. I consider myself lucky to have found them and a new vet to keep all my critters healthy!

I knew my animal loving friend used East Petaluma Animal hospital, so when my regular vet needed two weeks to see my dog who was rapidly defurring himself scratching and chewing his skin, I knew two weeks would not work! EPAH fit him in the day I called even though they had never seen him before! Dr. Graft was thorough, compassionate and he gave me treatment options. Later that day my flea allergic dog was resting comfortably and no longer chewing obsessively! EPAH staff called later to check on my dog too! Couldn't ask for better!

After having an awful experience at our first vet clinic, we were referred to this office and are so grateful! After spending $900 at an integrative vet hospital in Santa Rosa, with little results for our pup's eye infection (yes..$900 for an eye infection), we came to E. Petaluma Animal Hospital and found out our puppy had a huge infected fox tail in his eye for the last 6+ weeks! The same tests were done at both clinics but the other doctor missed it three times.. Imagine our shock and horror knowing what our 4lb puppy had been through.. and after a VERY long and traumatic couple of months, we are all happy and healthy for less than $100. We have already scheduled our 6 month puppy check-up and plan to continue our care there in the future! ????

I have a 22 year old Indian Ringneck Parakeet who is my baby. He is having senior bird issues like arthritis. The staff and Dr. Rupiper are knowledgable, professional, efficient. It is clear that Dr. Rupiper is an avian expert. Those are a rare find! There were many other birds in the office, like ducks and chickens, as well as dogs and cats. Great to have an avian expert in the north bay!

I have dealt with three vets at East Petaluma Animal Hospital and have been very pleased with all three. The vet techs are efficient and quick to interact with my dog or cats right when I arrive for the appointment. My dog is always excited when he sees where we are and easily separates from me when needed. We have been with this busy practice for about 6 years and have never had a problem. Dr. Rupiper takes time to bond with my animals during the appointment, and I appreciate that.

So I called to see if they could look at my Dog who has been screaming in pain. I’m currently waiting at another vet and have been waiting for a while so I thought I would call to see since the reviews were good. The lady who answered the phone was short and said we have appointments right now so we can’t see her, which I understand however it was kinda rude. I thought I read in the reviews they deal with emergencies? Am I wrong? Anyway, she was not helpful in the least... I honestly haven’t had such a lack of care from calling a vet!

I really regret it is taking me so long to write this review. February 2019, I found myself homeless, living in my van with my dog. My bff had lost three toenails and I was extremely worried. I came to the hospital having very little money and they did not turn me away. I can't even begin to express my gratitude. I never once felt judged for my situation. I felt that they saw that I was someone who cared deeply for my dog and they wanted to do everything they could to help.

Owning a pet and caring for it is no longer affordable for many people.

We had a sudden emergency with our female pet rabbit who was pregnant, went into labor but something went wrong and she could not deliver. She did deliver the first stillborn kit, and kept trying for hours to push out the others, but was not making any progress. She was exhausted, and likely in pain, and I was on the phone with pet emergency hospitals all morning, being sent from number to number, since most places don't treat rabbits, or couldn't really help, until I reached East Petaluma Animal Hospital. They were very kind and despite the fully booked schedule, told me to bring the bunny right away. The team created space in the schedule, the doctor took her in for the surgery, and saved her life. Everyone was so kind to us throughout the process, they have done a wonderful job with the surgery and explaining the after care. I will always be grateful. Because of their kindness, professionalism, and real empathy, our sweetest bunny girl is with us, is happily recovering and doing great.

They spent very little time with me or my bird, were very unclear about the medication they gave me for my bird, and were rather short with me when I had questions. They mislabeled the medications, and my bird ended up dying because of it. Definitely not going back there :(

I take two guinea babies (pigs) here and we absolutely love it! The Doc and the staff are so kind, welcoming, and always so friendly. The service is fast and efficient. My kids love to come in with me too because the staff is wonderful and interacting with them and teaching them interesting facts about the different animals that come in.

starting with my first visit. I was refer by a friend my concern was my dog and dental work. Dr. is most caring and very up front with his answer after telling me the serious of the problem I just felt bad. the Dr. estimate was a bit too much for me at that time. instead of saving and plan to have the Dr. do this I went somewhere else now that was awful experience. This last visit I felt a little rushed. and a little too expense. I thought for sure I would have a little left over to start to save again for my dog dental work. God is good and my mom blessing is the most. I now have my money all for the dental work. I am just hoping the Dr. does not make us wait for another month. I am worried, am stress, I want my little dog to to alright. I want these bad teeth removed. Hoping the Dr. reads my review and comes through for us. am sure he will. I know he cares and thats all that matters. Our pets are precious angels from heaven. Marie & Mr. P

I took my dog to get his nails clipped here and the next day when I took him out for a walk he started limping and couldn’t walk. I called the hospital that day and they said to bring Weezy bye to check him out. They were very nice, respectful, and professional the whole time. At the end of the visit, the front secretary was just doing her job and began to charge me. That’s when the doctor came out and told her our visit was covered, but the prescription had to be paid for. The prescription wasn’t that much thankfully. What a great gesture given back to a neighbor that’s loved this town since 1997. They said to check back in a week but by then he was fine. I found the experience to be a good reason to switch clinics and make Weezy a new client. Thanks.
