I brought my doberman Here to get his ears cropped after paying a $1000 they cropped his ears and now his ears will not stand up and I cannot do anything After Spending so much time money energy and effort Driving to Pasadena taking him back numerous times to get his Ears retaped For weeks at a time and his ears will still not stand up After getting a second opinion from a second vet and a 3rd opinion from a 3rd vet I was informed both times by the 2nd and 3rd vet that the person who cropped his ears did a extremely poor job And damaged nerves and muscles that they shouldn't have and I still cannot do anything about it because of the contract they made me sign as if they already knew what was going to happen. Please look at their rating it's only 3.73 they are just not that good at what they do apparently

I'm pretty satisfied with their services as far as reproductive for my dog's.. I come from Santa Clarita and I take them for progesterone and ultrasounds and so far they are on point.

I love this place. I was referred here by another friend that was doing aquatic therapy for her dog. We have been going here for about half a year now for physical therapy and pool therapy for our corgi and we couldn't be happier with the service and care they provide. The time they spend with each patient is fantastic and I really feel like they care. I know they are busy, but they make you feel like you are a VIP. I have never had an issue with the front office staff, techs, or doctors. The girls in the front office are always busy on the phone and checking people in, but they have always been so helpful when we call. You will be able to see that this place is busy and for all the right reasons! They are busy because they worth it. I drive my corgi out for care from downtown LA because we are so impressed with the care they provide. We love doctor Brickman, our primary doctor, and Danielle, our physical therapist. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new vet or therapy for your pupper! I know everyone has their own experiences, but I have never had a bad one here. This is just like many medical facilities. Things happen, emergencies come in, and I have only had to wait in the past when something happens behind the scenes. However, this would happen in any medical facility (whether it would be for the care of a dog, cat, or human). I just would have to say that I really appreciate them and believe they are doing their best even on days when they are short staffed. I even appreciate that I can wait in my car and do some work, while they take care of my dog inside. The doctor has even come and found me in my car to talk to me about her plan of care. She also lets me ask all the questions that I have, which is why I love talking to Danielle and Dr. Brickman (they are very patient with my concerns). They are sweet, professional, very knowledgeable, and are just trying to do what they think is best for my dog.

They were VERY helpful and kind. Not only that, but they also quickly responded to requests for the paperwork from my cat’s visits to their cardiologist by my new vet after I moved. They always return calls and emails. I consider them to be consummate professionals. I definitely recommend them!

Extremely unprofessional and not responsive. Called to speak with the supervisor Jenna V when my dog was having an emergency. Jenna didn’t bother calling me back or providing me with referrals for emergency pet hospitals.

Called in & scheduled an appointment for specialist & specific date. Call the day before the appointment to confirm staff told me no appointment was ever made & they can not fit me in anytime soon. Supper unprofessional if they can’t manage an appointment not to sure they can manage health of our pets.

Dr. Strickland is worth the drive. At the close of January 2019 the legs on our ten-year-old pug slipped out from under her, basically unusable. It started as a limp and the next day was her dragging two of her feet and being wobbly and clumsy. On the third day her front left and rear right legs had no strength at all and she was unable to walk or even drag herself. We took her to her usual veterinarian in the San Fernando Valley – not Rose City. Their testing said she had two discs in her back that had thinned, that this would be a permanent ongoing problem, and that the only solution is surgery. We looked for other options first. Our network of friends-with-dogs gave us the name of Dr. Strickland. He’s an animal chiropractor based in Rose City Veterinary Hospital. I’ve personally had good luck with chiropractors working on me so we thought we’d give him a try. A few things here, first how California are we for having a chiropractor for our dog? Second, even though he started in the business by working on people, his animal adjustment technique is different than his people adjustment technique; he doesn’t twist hips and necks, but rather uses a handheld device that gives gentle thumps and also has a muscle relaxer tool. Thirdly, and most importantly, his technique worked for our dog. After five visits over ten weeks she is at 90% of where she started. She runs and plays just as she did at the beginning of the year, before there were any troubles. Dr. Strickland is professional, courteous, sage, and quirky in the way that many in pet profession are. The hospital reception staff were all wonderful, too. We do not currently have a reason to return to Rose City VH, but knowing that our dog’s issue will be persistent I understand that I’ll be seeing more of Dr. Strickland in the future. I am over the moon at the result he got for our little girl and I can’t recommend his services enough.

Very happy with how my pup's ears were cropped! I drove down all the way from the bay area due to the reputation of the vet who knows eat cropping as an art. I asked for a long show crop with no bell and that is exactly what the vet here did. I am very pleased with the results.

I have been going to Rose City for many years. The doctors are wonderful and care about my pets. The techs and staff are just fabulous and courteous and I am always greeted with a smile. My big boy, Max, went to hydrotherapy there for several years and he looked forward to going there and loved his time in the tank. He passed away there (not in the tank) at 10 1/2. I noticed that he was having trouble breathing and drove him there, they met me in the parking lot and took him right away. He died shortly thereafter and I have never seen such compassion from everyone there. They all knew our Max (as well as our other dogs and kitties) and I wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend them!

We were referred by a friend to Dr. La Bounty. When we called his office number it was forwarded to Rose City. We were informed that Dr. La Bounty had retired and that they were now seeing his patients and or taking his calls. We were calling to set-up an appointment to have our pit-bull's ears clipped who was 5 months old in April. We were told by the Rose City receptionist that their schedule was full and she did not yet have the schedule for May and not to worry, pit-bulls could have their ears clipped within the first year. She then took our information and told us she would call us in May and let us know what the schedule was so that we could make our appointment. May came and went and we did not hear back, but we were not concerned because the receptionist said we could do it within the first year. We called again in June, now our pit is 7 months old, and scheduled an appointment for July and paid a $100 deposit. At our appointment on July 3rd we were informed by the vet that our dog was not a good candidate because she was more than 7 months old and that her soft cartilage had already started to form. So, our pit did not get her ears clipped and we were only returned $50 out of our $100 deposit. Our experience with this office obviously was not a good one. Unfortunately, we can't turn back time so make sure you do your research and double check the information given if it is anyone other than the vet!

My dogs and I have used Rose City Veterinary Hospital on a great many occasions for many years. I consistently find the doctors top-notch, and the staff equally excellent. I have had occasion to use and see many other vet clinics over the years - friends frequently seek my assistance when their animals need vet care - and while I occasionally find other good clinics, in my opinion the vast majority simply do not equal Rose City in terms of professionalism, compassion, and overall support for one's animals. In my opinion, you and your pet will be treated well and correctly here, time and again.
