Spectacular bedside manner. Met us in Concow area for euthanasia of our elderly dog that was very sick and dying of cancer. She made the whole experience very pleasant event though we were losing one of our family members. A great person to have by your side during such a hard time.

Dr. Troxell is an absolute angel!! So compassionate and caring. We had Dr. Troxell for an in-home euthanization. The experience was a peaceful & loving one; for my pet & myself. Would highly recommend this.

Dr. Troxell was incredibly caring and compassionate when we had to put our dog to sleep. She was available within a couple of days. She was wonderful with our old boy.

Dr Troxell and staff were so compassionate, honest and caring when it came to our very old Mastiff. She was such a blessing come out and care for our old guy whenever needed. She made sure his last day was filled love and kindness. She was quick to respond to calls and was upfront with accurate payment estimates. Absolutely recommend her practice to those needing a house call vet.

We can’t say enough about Dr. Troxell, and are incredibly grateful for her kind, gentle, and compassionate services. We knew that we wanted to avoid additional stress to our very loved cat Sonny. Dr. Troxell was quick to respond, she explained all options and the steps of the euthanasia, and absolutely did not rush us/the process.

Great service and advise. Very caring.

I ended up having a very negative experience with Dr Truxell. I called her after being told by my dog’s vet that she was very ill and the quality of her life was hopeless. She came to my home a told me she thought my dog should be in hospice and watched. She charged me and left. The quality of her life stayed in decline and and she stopped eating for days. She then began throwing up and declining water. I kept trying to follow directions to do my best to do all I could to keep her alive; canceling an appointment for euthanasia because she seemed to rebound. I asked Dr Truxell to advise me and she wanted her blood work sent print out sent so she could advise me. Never heard from her again. I called just to ask if she could tell me if she got the printout or had advise... Nothing. My poor dog couldn’t drink water and water declining. I left a message asking if she would refer me somewhere else. Nothing. Don’t go to this place. ???? Since Dr Truxell replied to my review I need to add that she is a lying to make herself appear less cold hearted in our little interaction. She DID NOT tell me she was leaving but asked me to have Ericksons send her a fax of my little dog’s blood work so she could evaluate if this was the time for her to be euthananized. I did this and waited to hear from her, calling and asking her to just call back and tell me if she got the fax and the finally after no calls if she would just refer to another place for the euthanasia Because my poor dog wS so ill. I took my dog to Valley Oak and she was euthanasiized on Saturday afternoon. I left her a final message telling her I wouldn’t bother her anymore that it was over. On Sunday evening a text showed up from her saying she had seen all my calls and if I needed help I should contact VAlley Oak since she doesn’t work on the weekend. All I expected of Dr Truxell was a simple call shortly after she requested the fax telling me she wasn’t going to be around It would have spared me some pain when losing my dear pet of 15 years was enough pain for one day. Maybe emphathy and honesty might be some skills for this vet to work on.

We have been trusting our pets' health to Keira for the last 6 years. She is a beyond competent and compassionate professional. I am so grateful to her for all the care the has given our kitties. She has the gift of making you feel at ease when facing the difficult decision to put your pets down, and she has always been available to us when we needed her. Our last kitty needed to be put down almost out of the blue, and she was there for us on a very short notice.

I highly recommend her services. Dr. Troxell is very kind and empathetic and obviously loves animals.

My lovable companion for 18 years never liked going into the Vet's office and shook like a leaf on my lap every time. I had heard about St. Francis Housecalls through my own Veterinarian's Office. I wanted my dog's passing to be peaceful in my home and not full of anxiety and stress going to the Vet's office. Dr. Troxell was so compassionate, soft spoken, gentle and caring during the procedure. Even though it hurt me losing my best friend, I knew that he would be out of pain, Jackson left this earth on the couch in his favorite bed, receiving lots of cookies and love from both the Dr. Troxell and I, he fell just fell asleep.

Keira was there for my family when our sweet dog Tucker got called back to Heaven. In the comfort of our own backyard, with the sun shining down on us, we let him go in the most peaceful way. I will never forget that precious moment and how Dr. Troxell helped us with the entire process in such an elegant way. This is truly her gift and we were so blessed to have met her.

We are so grateful to Dr Troxell for answering our call when our dog Trudy was in distress. She was calm, compassionate and reassuring in such a devastating moment for our family.
