They don't respond and when they do they were pretty rude. You'd think they would want to find their cats homes but doesn't really seem that way.

Great small good will type store. With all proceeds going to take care of needy cats.

We adopted the most adorable cat from Another Chance. He was in excellent condition and I really approve of the income visits they make. The animals they care for are lucky to be in their facility.

A really great thrift shop that you need to go and check it out in Palo Cedro, called Another Chance. There's a whole store of items that you can purchase for any thing you need for your home. Also clothing, glass ware and loads of books to check out. Overall it's quite a great place! All the money you spend there goes to the animal shelter!

I am incredibly disappointed by this animal rescue. We were informed that they were bringing us a kitten and doing a home inspection. We live a little bit off placer and once she arrived she left the kitten in the car for a good 15 mins(the car was not running) and then rushed out of our home saying they had other houses to interview. Upon asking them what happened we were told they were scared the cat would get let out. Which would never happen. They are more than picky on whom they choose to allow to adopt. I would say they are bias and judgmental. Please do not rescue your animal from here, they will break your family's heart.

I love Another Chance. The thrift store is small but they have lots of things in it. I bought a couple of warm coats for the winter. Great prices. I got my kitty there and it is so much fun to see the little ones.

Fun place with great prices good selection of miscellaneous used goods... and many things are in excellent condition overall! Very friendly people and there are some good surprises of waiting for you if you take the time to poke around.. my friend said that they even have dog food there but you have to ask for it. I always stop by if I'm in the area you might want to as well.

Very unprofessional company for adopting pets... It stinks badly like cat pee. Also, they make it very hard to adopt pets. They make you do an application and don't get back to you for a very long time. Do they want the pets to go to a good home? I don't recommend this company.

If you can deal with the smell of cat pee, the thrift store part has a wide verity of items with great prices. Lots of books. Normaly no furniture. Its very small and not a lot of room. Ladies are very slow but extremely nice.

This rescue has severely degraded. 4 and a half years ago I adopted a small dog, and the people were amazing, they were kind, on top of things, and eager and happy to help me adopt an animal in need to a loving home. These last 3 weeks have sorely, sorely disappointed me. A friend of mine was interested in a dog for himself, as an emotional support animal, so the apartment he lives in would allow him to have said dog. Calling the rescue, the first dog he was interested in was an ordeal: He contacted the rescue, and spoke to the foster mom of the dog, who was just as friendly and wonderful as would be expected, and everything was looking good as far as meeting the dog and the adoption process. ESA Animals have to be certified through the online Service Animal Registry of America; which is a spendy process unique to each animal. The apartment would not let him have to dog until proof of the ESA certificate, and proof of the vaccination records for the dog were shown to them. This rescue was entirely unwilling to hold onto this little dog, whom my friend had bonded with, for the three days needed for shipping on the certificate and ESA gear. So we tried again with another dog. This second dog had been in foster care for 3 years due to her special needs, and my friend immediately fell in love with her. His whole situation was perfect for her needs, and she was everything he needed her to be. Upon contacting the rescue again, the staff was terse and gave the impression they were annoyed with my friend's call. However it was determined that he would be approved for adoption, and this was confirmed by the rescue to him via phone call. So the ESA package was ordered, and the certificate presented to the apartment manager, and all that was left to do was for the rescue to call the apartment manager, confirm verbally that my friend was approved to have the dog there, fax the vaccination records, and then inspect his living space. Then the dog could be paid for and papers signed. 3 weeks of calling and asking if the person from this rescue has called the manager of the apartments like she said she would. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And finally, today, my friend received an email informing him that he has been deemed unsuitable for the dog. I find this whole scenario extremely maddening, wholly unprofessional, and absolutely ridiculous. I will never recommend this rescue to anyone for anything. Horrible customer service, and I find that in of itself astounding. If you are in the business of saving animals and finding them safe, loving homes, I expect decent communication, follow through with set appointments, proper facilitation of the adoption process, and certainly not the rude behavior exhibited. Just wow...

This thrift store has a wide variety of items for very reasonable prices. The staff are all volunteers and all of the money raised is to rescue and save animals. Please consider donating your gently used items to this great thrift store, and while you are dropping off your donations, spend a little time shopping. You won't be disappointed! And if you are considering adopting a family member pet, this is the place to go. They have so many beautiful animals that desperately need homes. And remember, when you adopt a pet, you are really saving two lives, because when one animal is adopted, there is room for another to come into the shelter.Their ultimate goal is to have a no-kill shelter. PLEASE help!
