I had a very energetic standard poodle that I could not have around my 83 year old mother. 6 weeks later I have an exceptional well trained dog who's a pleasure to be around and is under complete voice control for my mom. absolutely amazing.

We enrolled Amber in their 2 week hunting introduction. We have seen a huge transformation in Amber's training. Some of the huge improvements that I have noticed is water retrieves, excitement on gunshots and heeling. Jenna, the nice young lady that trained with us at our 1pm appointment was very nice, well educated on training and a pleasure to train with. It was obvious to us that Jenna is very dedicated to training. We appreciated that she bent down and hugged/loved on our dog. We have golden retrievers that can been needy dogs, but we love that about this breed! Thank you Jenna!!

We booked Sandy for the 2 week intro to hunting course. Sandy is the second dog we have booked at Hightest Kennels. We are amazed at how much progress she has made!! She can now fetch, swim, do water retrieves, excited at gunshots, heel and down. Brianna was our trainer and she is amazing! She breaths training confidence. I really valued the feedback we got from her while handling our dog after it was demonstrated to us. Hands off when they jump as holding them down is a form of praise just by touch. I sent my 5 month old black lab bailey to Hightest for 2 weeks of puppy starter hunt training. I was Impressed with the results. My pups only 5 months and she retained a lot at Hightest. I would highly recommend

Thand goodness for this place and these trainers! I am SO happy with the change in our dog! We got lucky and got the sweetest chocolate lab that was being rehomed. After 18 months of ZERO training this guy spoke no English and had an extremely hard time understanding any training we tried. He was a hard dog to have around, chasing cats, jumping all fences, not coming when called, this poor guy didn't even know how to lay down ????. We payed an experienced trainer for a one on one and it took nearly the entire hour for him to figure out how to lay down on command. We didn't have the time, patience, or skill to train him. The options were rehoming or sending him to training school. Highest was the best price I found, especially for board and train. I researched the business and felt it was worth the money. We picked our boy up from good boy school yesterday and WOW!! He can finally speak English! He is so happy to be able to understand us and have privileges that good doggies get to have. He walks like an angel on leash and off and is a pleasure to work with now. I would absolutely recommend Hightest! A well trained polite dog is worth their weight in cookies!

We just picked up our pup from the 2 week puppy head start. Very happy with the results. We plan to bring him back for gun dog training. This is the second Labrador of ours we have trusted High Test Kennels to board and train. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff is wonderful. Thank You High Test.

Absolutely love this place. Everyone from the Office staff, to the trainers and owner are so helpful and friendly. You know immediately everyone loves their job and are excellent in what they do. Their grounds are beautiful and the kennels are spotless. We have had retrievers for 40 years. My husband duck hunts, and does hunt tests. I enjoy the confirmation show ring. We have had several trainers over the years. So happy we found Hightest Kennels. We only wish we had found them sooner. :-) Kathy H. Bangor

I called Hightest Kennels to assist with my fostering of a difficult canine. Hightest Staff walked me through their criteria for educative help that day for possible intake. (they already have my vote!) ...Although my 'problem canine-foster child' could not meet Veterinary qualifications for their facility, they still listened and were forthright in giving approaches to take for the wellness of the animal until all inoculations met the Highest standard. The next day I visited to see the facility, and met Annie and Lindsey. Both were complimentary of one another, while also being familiar and confident in Highest Kennels philosophy and policies. So I had taken my puppy in at 6 months old which they had stated he was 100% ready to train. So I paid their outrageous price with no complaints and dropped him off. He went through the 1st month of training with not one complaint, and actually had multiple good things to say from the trainers. Second month came and I once again pay the price and he stay there and completed the 2nd month with absolutely no issues. 3rd month came along I paid again and 4 days later after the 3rd payment I had received a call saying that my dog did not want to retrieve any more and I need to come pick him up. I came unglued, due to the fact that I am paying there extreme price for them to train my dog. If my dog does not want to do it then they should make him because that's what I'm paying for. It was a battle dealing with them and the grumpiness of the person answering the phone calls and running the front end. It is sad that this place does not care about the training of the animal, but are in it for the money only. If it is not one of their home dogs that have been bred from them do not bother taking your dog there to be trained.

We took our dog to Hightest trainingCenter for obedience training. Today we visited and found the place very clean and well staffed. Our dog looked well cared for and making progress on his training. If you are looking for dog training ,obedience or gun dog training or simply vacation boarding you should check Hightest out. They do take care of your dog as if “ it was their own”.

The atmosphere is so genuinely welcoming! I have volunteered there a few times to help out, and they truly care about the animals! They treat each one as their own!

Hightest is a wonderful place to take your dog for obedience training or for boarding while you're away. The kennels are thoroughly cleaned every morning and the cleanliness is always maintained throughout the day. The staff are very friendly and eager to answer any questions. They take good care of the dogs and can successfully train them in multiple areas. Hightest has many programs to offer, such as breeding, obedience, and training for hunting dogs. All boarding dogs and exercised daily and given plenty of opportunities for social interaction. I would highly reccomend Hightest to anyone looking for canine related services.

Sweet wild child Copper has improved big time. He walks great on leash wothout trying to eat your shoe strings. He now knows how to great people and make friends with other dogs.

Got my blk lab there last week hes going to be a stud hunting dog for sure.

The entire staff is very caring and exceptional in their service. We just picked up our 1.5 year young, very driven, lab and he is doing great. We are so happy with the attention he received and so impressed with his off-leash abilities!

Very satisfied with the training that our lab received- we had all but given up hope on her hunting future, but after much effort they unearthed that ability in her and she is flourishing! She came home an all around happier dog once she found her purpose. Highest recommendation for Hightest.

My mom has a large Shepherd mix, and this dog was so insane and hyper he actually broke her arm once. We tried relentlessly to talk her into rehoming him with someone like a younger male who has the energy and strength to train him. She took him in to Highest and they did so well I almost cried. Legitimately. I'm a sap, but this is a completely different dog. He's so mellow, he listens incredibly well, he heels with such prescision I want to put him on YouTube. And he was so happy there. He absolutely loved the redhead (so sorry, I forgot her name but she's adorable and he was smitten with her). It was awesome. So impressive! Absolutely incredible. And their kennel rates are fantastic.

The best gun dog training facility in the State.

Epic place. I will call it Disney for dogs. Our puppy is so smart and sweet. Highly recommend hightest to anyone. The smoke was from the camp fire.

We have used them before for the gun dog program and get amazing results.
