Decently priced. Person behind the counter at pick up didn't know how to work the payment system. When a phone call was made to someone who could help them, the person who was called was so rude. We gave our dog a bath before taking him and 2 nights later he WREAKED.

I have to say I was a worried mom as it was Janie’s first time being away from us. La Nae was awesome. She knew it was her first time. Janie was very stand offish but, she worked with her till she was relaxed. She called me and kept me up on how she was doing. Over I would say it went better than I thought. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby.

Business says 100% cage free, but they kennel the dogs for breakfast, lunch, dinner and from 2-4 to clean and have breaks. So not cage free. Presentation is everything, and when I visited, the front office did not look like the picture displayed at all, the appearance of the man and woman at the front desk was not business or professional, they even had a baby in a stroller behind the desk. the place doesn't have anywhere visible to view your pet, and their play and "yard" time, is allowing dogs to run around in a warehouse. I didn't feel this was an environment for boarding or dog sitting.

We picked up our little boy from Playful Paws scared, wet, and covered in a foul smell. It broke our hearts. This was our first time at a doggy daycare facility. The cage free environment, the proximity to our home, and the webcam availability is what sold us. We stepped into Playful Paws today with excitement; we were hoping that doggy daycare would become a part of our routine as well as a place we could board Baldwin when we went out of town. Our appointment was scheduled for 1pm. The individual behind the desk checked us in. While we filled out the paperwork and gave the poop sample for testing, we made sure they knew that this was our first visit and that we were going to be back to pick Baldwin up at 3pm; we wanted to begin with a short stay to see how he did. We were told that the timeframe was fine. We said goodbye and left. We picked up our little boy after an hour because the small dog cam did not have any dogs to view. The space was empty and looked like it was being cleaned. When we arrived we asked if we could check out the facilities since it was our first visit and the employee said that it was not possible since it excited the dogs. She also told us the company has a 5 hour minimum stay for the first visit. They also recommended Baldwin stay longer, but because we are unable to view the webcam we wanted to check on him and see how he was doing. During the exchange, when we said we were unable to see any dogs on the webcam, the employee replied that the dogs are placed in a kennel while their play area is being cleaned, which is between 2 to 4 pm ( Well we were there at 1 and the cleaning had already started). And no one told us that he would be in a kennel. When we asked if our dog had been in a kennel the entire time he was at the facility, another individual chimed in and said "Oh, I can assure you Baldwin was not in a kennel this whole time." We don't know how this employee would have known this since he didn't know when we had dropped off Baldwin, nor did he know what he looked like. This left us feeling unsettled and we asked them to bring our dog out. We couldn't believe what happened next. As the employee came out she told us "bad news, he got wet." The lower half of Baldwin's body was soaked in a foul smelling liquid and filthy. When we asked how this could have happened she said that maybe he had walked around in the water after the cleaning. We pressed her again and asked how he would have been able to get into the water, especially when he had been restricted to the kennel the entire time. She clarified and more honestly stated that actually the water used during the cleaning had gotten into his kennel. Add insult to injury, the employee said he was scared in the back of the kennel when she went to retrieve him. Of course he was, who knows what happened during his stay in the kennel! We scooped him up and let their employee know that we will not be back. In order to get rid of the smell, we needed to wash Baldwin twice when we brought him home. We also logged on to the webcam again and saw that the small dog area did not open up to the dogs until after 5pm. Did the little dogs have to be in kennels that whole time? I don't know but I am so glad we got our boy out of their when we did. This is not the place for your furry loves.

Finding this place is such a relief Our Luna is always tired after a session and the people here are communicative and friendly. Our dog is super playful but has her weird Knicks of boundaries and body language and the workers are understanding of that. Since going here her behavior at the dog park has improved too. Check in and check out is stress free as the workers are familiar with your dog and the web cams are great! Makes my day to see our pup enjoying herself.

I rarely write reviews, but I wish I had read about an experience like this one before taking my dog to Playful Paws. Maybe it will help someone else avoid a similar experience. I have a 2 and a half year old golden retriever. We were heading out of town for 3 days and our normal dog sitter wasn’t available so I decided to give playful paws a shot. I called and the person I talked to was very informative and friendly. I set the appointment and brought my dog in. The staff was super friendly in person too and I felt good leaving my dog with them. I take my dog to the dog park weekly where he has positive interactions with other dogs. He is extremely friendly and is basically the exact stereotype of his breed (happy, goofy, permanent puppy, golden retriever). He is extremely submissive, basically just rolls over if there is any confrontation with another dog. I found out they had a webcam on their website so I was watching what was going on. About an hour after dropping him off I was watching and noticed he was being pinned by other dogs multiple times. Not just one dog, but 3 or 4 of the 10 that were out there. He would try to get up and run away just to get chased down, tackled, and pinned again. I thought to myself, that’s ok, dogs need to work it out. There’s always an alpha and my dog definitely isn’t him, so they will probably do this for a bit and then stop pinning him down and let him play. At this point, we headed out of town and drove for an hour and half. When we got to where we were going I checked the webcam again. There was my dog, pinned and being vigorously humped by these three same dogs. I watched over the next 3 hours. Not once did I see a staff member check on them. Just free-for-all dogs with seemingly no supervision! The final straw was when I watched a dog do his business in the middle of the concrete floor and then my dog, trying to run from one of these bullies, gets tackled and pinned right in the urine! Again, I am not some over-protective “dog parent.” I was fine with the domination and watching them all work it out. In fact at the dog park, when another dog owner steps in when the dogs are pinning I’m usually the one to say hey it’s ok, they just need to work it out and then they will play. Maybe it’s because the other dogs were all regulars and had a pack mentality going and mine was the new one that didn’t fit in. But 6 hours of pinning and bullying with no staff intervention is not ok. On the webcam I could see that my dog was just laying in the corner while the other dogs played and anytime he got up and tried to join he would be pinned and humped. If I could’ve seen a staff member stepping in occasionally, I would’ve been totally fine with it and trusted that they knew what was ok dog behavior and what wasn’t. But I never saw a staff member except once mopping up. I ended up leaving at 5am on day 2 of our trip to drive home to Ontario get my dog and take him to a dog sitter from Rover. It basically ruined our trip. Kudos to the staff for having him ready for me at 7am when I asked though. Although I paid for a bath and he was still really wet when I picked him up so I had to take him home and dry him myself before taking him to the new sitter and driving back to our hotel, which just further prolonged the bad experience. If you are ok with Lord of the Flies, dog edition style boarding, maybe this if for you. Or maybe if your dog is super dominant, you can bring them here with no issues. But if you have a submissive dog, beware that this could be a tough experience for them. My Golden drank water for 5 minutes straight when I brought him home. I assume he was bullied away from the water because it didn’t seem like he had drank anything in a full day. I am so glad I was able to get him after 1 day because I am very worried what he would have been like after 3 days here with no supervision.

The staff is great and my dog goes running into the building each time we drop him off for daycare. He loves it and comes home happy and tired. I'm so glad we found this place.

Have taken our pup here for a few years now. Staff is really nice and gets to know your dog. Love, love, love being able to check in anytime with the cameras. It's especially nice to be sure your dog is settling in well (fur mom issues). Prices have gone up over time, but they're still very competitive. Clean, professional, and my dog comes home tired from lots of play.

It took me a while to find a daycare that I liked for my Akita, Thunder, when we moved back to the area. From the beginning, Raylene and La Nae were very helpful and professional. I love hearing that Thunder thrives here and he loves it here. It’s good to know that he gets along well with the staff too. He’s a big boy and the space they have for the large dogs is great. I’ve received the best customer service from the wonderful staff here. Thank you Raylene, La Nae, JC and Woodsey.

I haven't taken my dogs for over a year here. Both of my dogs were bitten by another dog ( 2 different occasions), and I was not told about each incident until I picked them up. I had to take them to the vet because the bleeding wouldn't stop for one and the other was a deep wound to the back. I now take them to a more reliable dog day care with better staffing.

Like the fact you can see your pooch, although it doesn't allow you to see parts of the play area.

Love playful paws. My German shepherd husky mix, Schatzy, lights up with excitement anytime i say "playful paws." I love that they have such a big play area and no kennels. I also love that i can check on her whenever with the cameras. Great environment for any dog.

I usually love to leave my dog here. But this last time I brought her home and her ears were full of mites and blood. So that was unfortunate.

I am so impressed with playful paws. I just picked up my dogs from their first day at playful paws. I was able to check in on them anytime I wanted to. All the staff showed great detail in helping my dogs transition into their day today. I feel so much relief in knowing that my dogs were well taken care of and will be ok when they are away from me.

Was there to visit Empire K9 which uses the back lot. I first noticed the friendly service and from what I could see a clean place. Both ladies went into rapid response to the dogs needs when any altercation arose. Very impressive I'm sure my puppy would get great service here.
