Wonderful staff, great doctor. First time here and I will take all my dogs here from now on.

This vet has some of the most caring and loving people working there and they will take care of your animals proper.

I was referred in to Temple Heights almost 5 years ago. Our one year old lab was having all kinds of issues with UTI's and we needed some answers. Dr Valdez was amazing. He had a lifetime of experience with issues like we were experiencing and laid out a plan which eventually included surgery to alleviate her ongoing issues. Thankfully she has not had any health issues in the past three years. Unfortunately, almost two years ago Dr Valdez retired and sold the practice to Dr Angela Hoffman. From the first visit with Dr Hoffman, I was not happy. She had not fully reviewed her history before her appointment and asked questions that she should have gathered from her pre appointment review. The staff assured me that I should give her a chance....that she was great. (By the way, that entire staff is no longer there). Then came COVID..... she had an issue with a benign growth in September of '20. All bloodwork and diagnostic tests were run...... everything was ok. Then in early march I called to get her pills renewed (she is on twice daily medication since her surgery to keep her from recurring bouts with UTI's). The staff said that Dr Hoffman was recommending (again!) a full blood panel before they would give me any more medication. After questioning the need for another full blood workup, they said they could do a urinalysis ($110 less!). I then was informed (for the second time) that they didn't have the medication in stock and I would have to come back. When I came back for the medication, I questioned why I had never received the results of the urinalysis.....which the staff member said that the office manager was supposed to do.. I assured her that she didn't. At that point, I wasn't happy that I HAD to do this diagnostic and that it wasn't important enough to even send me the results. But, they happily sold me 5 months worth of pills and 2 Brevecto flea and tick tabs and I want on my way. Three days later I get a letter in the mail saying they are basically firing us as clients...... I guess because I questioned whether the full blood work up was required......the first time we ever questioned any testing of any kind at Temple Heights. Looking back, the entire staff leaving was a sign...... Dr Hoffman never even called me herself to try to clarify the situation. That says a lot about her character.....or lack of it. The Google reviews on Temple Heights are great..... and the vast majority were for Dr Valdez....who was amazing. There are tons of great vets out there.... and good will come out of this break-up. My advice is to think twice about taking your pet to Temple Heights.

This is the best pet care in North County. I feel so reassured and comfortable leav8ng my pets with Dr Hoffman. Her staff is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for their dedication to caring for our pets that they understand are our family members. I've been coming here since May so I have never actually been in the office or met the doctor because of the pandemic and the restrictions on place but they call and talk to me and explain everything in simple terms for me to understand and I am so comfortable with them. I can honestly say I love this place. The genuine sincerity shines through. My puppy and cats have all have 5 star top notch care here.

Staff was prompt and friendly. This was our first visit and all vets during COVID aren’t letting people inside so they just take your pet. We were nervous to do so considering our cat hates being anywhere but home especially her kennel and they made us feel comfortable that she would be taking care of. The visit when fast and the vet called us from inside to let us know here recommendations for our cat. We’re very happy with the overall service, price and staff. Thank you guys for taking care of our Gypsy (the fat black cat).

Great service. As a first time pet owner I wanted a vet that can help give me direction of how to keep our puppy healthy, and I also wanted a vet that we can stay with long term and have more of a personalized experience. I feel like we got just that at Temple Heights Animal Hospital. Even with the pandemic and curbside check in, Dr. Hoffman came out to discuss our puppies care, give recommendations, and answer all the questions I had. Our Loki came back a happy pup even after vaccinations. All the staff we interacted with was so nice. They even have him a cute Christmas bandana!

Not only is Dr Hoffman’s care amazing, her office cat Emperor is the coolest.

They are always so nice! I'm greeted promptly and my animals are taken care of extremely well.

Had our dog in for nails and gland expressed and was accomplished in a about 45 minutes. Personnel very courteous and professional. Great experience.

Our experience with Temple Heights Animal Hospital was so much more than we expected. The staff was extremely friendly and they treated Cashe like he was their own!

We called several vets in the area because our dog was very sick. We knew it was her time to be put to rest. We chose this vet because the employee was so nice on the phone. When we went in both the vet and assistant treated us with kindness and compassion.

Dr. Hofmann has recently taken over at Temple Heights. She and her staff are still providing the exceptional service I have come to expect. I have been a client for over 20 years and will continue to be for the next 20. Good job Temple Heights!

This vet has been the best vet I have ever been to. I love taking my dog here and she has gotten everything from shots to surgery for spay as well as a tumor and her recovery was fast and harmless!! She is all healed up and the prices were reasonable and affordable given the circumstances. He explains things very well and I never leave with any questions or concerns!! Staff is all so friendly, you never have to wait at all to get in and its overall an awesome place!

my wife went, I was unable. according to my wife these people are great. the vet got down o the floor to make the kittens more comfortable.

Great service! My jack russell was be able to get in on the day I called & make appointment for a dental cleaning soon. So convenient!! Dr.Hofmann such a loving , passionate taking care of my baby.

Ovitto loves coming in and saying hi to the nurse and Dr, they have been taking care of her very well they are calm and understanding with her since she’s still a puppy and I am so thankful for that. Definitely recommend!! because they care about your fury family member and they treat them with love and respect.

Dr.Hofmann is absolutely the best! She takes time to listen to her clients, sits on the floor and takes time to build trust with the animals, and makes recommendations that are realistic! She’s been caring for our pooches for years and we love her!! Even our vet-shy younger dog has learned to love going to the vet because he gets so much love from her!!!

My dachshund had a dental emergency and I was unable to get him into his regular vet. This place was close and took him here. Big mistake. He had two molars removed because of advanced decay, which is the good news, the bad news is he came out with a very painful back issue. Xrays were taken, which showed some osteoarthritis in the back but his symptoms only occurred after the dental. He is now on pain medication, steroids, and gabapentin. I pray he gets better but its going to be a long road. Should have waited until I was able to see our veterinarian and now beating myself up on my decision.

They are amazing here. They really take the time to know you and your pet. I did alot of research before choosing this place and I am satisfied with my decision. I would definitely recommend this place!

I brought my dog here to get a second opinion after feeling like the issue wasn't solved from several visits to another animal hospital. They were very thorough and patient with my shy/skittish dog. Here, they took care of the problem at the first visit. Super helpful and they really make sure you understand everything! I highly recommend this place!!

Dr. Hofman is the best! My fur babies don't even know they are being examined with her soothing voice while she strokes them. Staff is friendly and Lindsey is the best as well!

Very happy with Dr. Hofmann and her staff since she took over the practice. One of our two dogs loves her, he calmly lays on her lap when she sits on the floor :). Great services and communication, competitive pricing, convenient online medication ordering and love the loyalty program. Overall A+.

Dr. Valdez is wonderful with all the pets and has taken care of all my dogs over the past 15 years. His staff is also very kind, friendly and understanding. I trust my dog in his care.

Temple Heights is our go to for vet care and boarding. Our puppy Oreo loves all of the attention and care he receives there. I feel he prices are very fair and the care is excellent.
