After our long time Veterinarian retired (1.5 years ago) and getting service through vaccine clinics, we continued looking & calling several Veterinary Services in the area, then we found Dr Lafferty & Oakley Veterinary Medical Center. They pay attention to detail, are professional, respectful and welcomed us for our initial introduction/care for my dog with clear covid protocols. They took time to answer all my questions and provided great care/examination. Very happy to have (likely) found our next long term veterinarian - Dr Sandra Lafferty and team.

We went to Ryders vet to have his ear checked out, he had a hematoma and they wanted to do surgery on his ear, costing any where from 600.00 to 1200.00 dollars, so we thought about getting a second opinion, asked for recommendations and ended up at Oakley Vet, he was checked out and wanted to treat him with a round of Prednisone and within two weeks it had cleared up pretty much, wow to all of the above, the older he got I think he had outgrown his old vet, and his needs Oakley is his new home for care.

As a first time patient the vet techs, and Dr. Bañuelos were great however upon arrival the front desk/receptionist was very rude on the phone as well as In person. We were seen 15 mins late but as an employee of a dental office I understand sometimes that just happens so it was not an issue for us as my main concern was just getting my puppy seen. Now here we are 5 months later which the Dr said only time would tell with my dogs issue and to call back if nothing changed. My dog is still experiencing the same symptoms of concern so I called almost 2 weeks ago and the receptionist said they were busy that I would get a call back, I have yet to receive anything not a phone call or email or anything. Like I said Dr and Vet techs kind and did a good job but communication from front desk is terrible.

Thank you to Denny for really caring and putting so much time and effort into helping each and every animal you see. Your kindness and effort is really appreciated. Very lucky to have this place locally.

I have had extremely good, reliable service here. Not only are both vets lovely people and so kind to my cats, but my kitty's favorite Denny makes us all happy. I believe my mean cat has a note to only see Denny, the younger, sweet CHP kitty is always shown so much care and love. I don't think I would consider taking my cats somewhere closer to home (I'm in Brentwood, it's not that far, but there is a vet two minutes away). We adopted our older cat here, and brought our nearly dead little kitty in when my husband found her in his work parking lot. We were given food and advice and she is fine, two years later. I have never been treated badly by any staff, but I have been made to wait when an emergency came in, which I appreciate as I know they would see an emergency of mine before a nail trim or regular check up. I highly recommend Oakley Veterinary Medical Center.

I can recommend Dr Lafferty and her staff without reservation. They show compassion for the animals and their owners. They use their experience, wisdom, and common sense to provide the best possible treatment for the best possible outcomes.

They're always great with my dog Hank. Everyone is very friendly. So glad my parents told me about them. I highly recommend you come here for your pets needs.

Actually it's zero stars for this place. I took my dog to get his nails clipped, and was charged a bogus office visit with more added charges they don't tell you about when you call to make an appointment. The last time I came it was $15, now it's 3x the amount. They didn't tell me till after the "procedure" that it was 3x the amount. Hidden charges everywhere at this place. Both ladies at the front desk are ridiculously rude. I will not be going back to this place, and I would advise anyone else from going here. There are better options where you can take your pet, then this place.????????????

Wonderful, kind, and patient staff. I had a lot of questions and was very nervous about my guinea pigs. The vet took time to answer and explain all of my questions. The nurse even taught me how to clip their nails safely. I'll definitely go back to them. Great service, clean facility, and an all around perfect experience. If you have a small animal in need of vet attention, you should definitely go here.

I wish I could rate 0 stars. Our first experience at this office to have our dogs nails trimmed was wonderful. Our second trip two days later as a normal vet check up for one of our dogs my husband and myself could not believe the rudeness we experienced by one of their nurses. Not only were we rudely corrected several times in a very disrespectful manner, she snapped at my husband and 5 year old child- my daughter wasn’t doing anything my husband had the leash and she was “helping daddy” hold her dog. The nurse didn’t like that I suppose? Anyway we felt so belittled we decided to let the ladies know at the front desk respectfully we don’t appreciate this treatment and would like to leave. The vet came out only to say her nurse is one of their bests, I said unfortunately she’s not when it comes to customer treatment. I would say do not ever go here. I’ve been in vet offices for years and have never had such disrespect towards us for no apparent reason. Usually I’m quick to think is their something we did? Absolutely not, she was like a bipolar case. Take my advice- go someplace else, save your time and energy.

Both I and my neighbor have good experiences with this business. I have been going here for about 12 years. Only downside is if you need urgent care, you can sometimes have to wait a long time for an appointment.

I cannot say enough good about this place. They are the most caring, gentle, sensitive vets and technicians I have ever worked with. They have always treated us and our dogs with the utmost of care and sensitivity. I will never bring my dogs anyplace else. Both vets and the techs we've worked with really know their stuff!

I went there today the staff was very friendly my little puppy hurt her shoulder and they examined her took an xray and said the angle wasn't good enough and they couldn't see what's going on but they think it's broken and i need to see an ortho surgeon and said they could get the xray to see what's going on better and they charged me 90$ for a film that they didn't deem useful and wouldn't take another xray im extremely upset having to pay for an xray that isn't useful . You'd think they would be trained in taking xrays and wouldn't take advantage of new patients coming to their clinic .

I picked this place based off of the positive reviews. My experience was less than positive. I walked-in to hopefully get an appointment set up for my cat's paw to be looked at. The First Lady I seen was very nice, she went to get someone else to help me. So I didn't think that there would be an issue. I was wrong. The next person, she was tattooed all over and seemed very grumpy towards me. She asked immediately if I was a "Client"... I didn't understand what she was trying to say, but I told her anyways about my cat's dislocated wrist that needed attention. She was unwilling to work with me, she asked again if I was a "Client". I tried becoming said "Client", but she gave excuses after excuses: "the doctor is in surgery", "there is a wait of an hour", (took my cat to Antioch emergency and she had to stay over night, so yeah an hour wait is nothing), "we can't schedule until this afternoon". I said okay I'll take this afternoon, she said: "oh you're still trying to come?" I took my injured cat and left, they were unwilling to help and I don't know why. But I can take a good long guess...????

Taken a couple of rats here to see thwir rodent vet, she was so sweet and kind to me. One rat sliced my other open and she only charged me for the antibiotic. For the second rat she was so nice to him and knew he was old but didn't say anything about me trying to help him being a waist like ive heard before. The staff was very kind too, except whoever took my call. It didn't seem like she cared at all because he was a rodent. Over all very wonderful place

This is our regular vet for ALL 7 of our kitties. Dr. Lafferty and staff are awesome, caring people. Our senior kitty has epilepsy, and once when she had a bad spell, and needed extended care, Dr. Lafferty took the kitty home with her, so she could watch her over the weekend, and give any needed support. She did this out of the kindness of her heart, and at no additional charge! They are the best!
