Staff is friendly and goes beyond the minimum of just taking care of my dog. They get to know her and she now knows them. The occasional report cards and comments on how she spent her day are fun and help me feel confident she’s in good hands :)

Been going here a while and had to stop. One of my friends had their dog stay for boarding and they never even fed their dog the provided food. we weren't sure what the dog was fed at all or if it even was fed. The staff had no answers just apologies. But for me I only did the all day play and saw dogs routinely come back covered in pee. Was wondering why that could happen and then saw one day on the camera feed for all day play how they stick 40+ dogs in there for one worker. How can one person manage to clean up the messes for that many dogs let alone be able to stop fights and give the dogs proper attention? It's clear to me this business is entirely about profit which isn't surprising. One worker should only have around 20 dogs maximum. I also did a tour before and their facilities smell awful of urine which is part of why I never did boarding here. I personally have worked for wildlife and pet hospitals that never even came close to smelling so badly. Clearly is from years of staff neglecting to clean properly until the smell is permanent in the concrete

We boarded our cat here because he had to have a regular pill treatment. The staff was amazing, treated him with lots of love and made sure he got his pills on time. We do wish cats got more photos though, especially with it being his first time!

Impossible to get or change an appointment. There is only ONE central number to call and you have to wait for their return call which normally takes more than 1-2 days, sometimes even longer.

I did a last min booking for my dog. The online accounts don't work right. I couldn't make an appointment online and I couldn't add my dog to my account so I ended up calling in. The person on the phone was very helpful and sweet. She got my dog booked and ready to go. However picking up was a nightmare. My flight was delayed so I kept calling to let them know I won't be able to get to the pick up deadline but no one would answer the phone. I called 3-4 times at different times yet no luck so I ended up calling my sister to go pick her up in the pouring rain as I couldn't get a hold of someone. When my sister picked her up it seemed like the food we gave them was untouched so I think she wasn't fed while she was there or she was fed their own food which is not good. When she got home she gobbled up her food as if she hasn't eaten for days. It was a great last min save on keeping my dog somewhere safe however, I don't think she received the care she was supposed to get.

I'm so elated to hear my pup had a good day! Staff was very friendly and welcoming to my dog, which helped him feel more comfortable for his first visit.

Severely understaffed, bosses and higher ups only care about money not workers or our fur babies. How are you going to run a hotel ans take proper care of these precious pets with little workers? Oh and I experienced transphobia. Super unprofessional. ALL A MONEY GRAB ME

To preface, I have been boarding my dog here since at least 2018. Over the past couple years, I have noticed an increasing decline in quality of services, ownership, and general confidence in their ability to care for my pet. They have lost items of mine, stopped giving me updates/report cards, and have most recently FAILED to feed my dog on the one night he was being boarded without so much as an apology or any effort to make the situation right. To top it off, my dog comes back looking malnourished and smells like urine 90% of the time. When I asked about why I was unable to see my dog during his playgroup, I was told he went into a private group. This is fishy to me considering how often I have boarded my dog here and was always able to see him in the large group. Their management never reached out to me to resolve the issue or rebuild confidence. Wag charges a premium for upscale services and facilities, but I have lost complete trust in adequate care (and what feels like neglect) from this business.

I called their help line regarding a boarding stay and the associate walked me through registration. She even mentioned that new registrants seeking boarding get 2 free trial daycare days to make sure you and your pet are comfortable with the facility. The trial days were key for me - they made me comfortable with the staff and space, and I was able to see just how much my girl enjoyed her playtime at Wag. I would definitely recommend using this kennel. Their online portal and phone assistance make registering for daycare or boarding easy, and their facility seems pretty clean.

I have no doubt that the animals staying here are getting responsible care. However, the communication between the staff and clients is awful. They don’t respond to reservation requests- I’ve had to call and follow up multiple times after submitting a request through the “easy to use” app. And when I dropped my dog off for grooming, they told me he would be done in two hours and they would call me. Four hours later, I called multiple times and couldn’t reach anyone there. I ended up just driving over and getting him. The grooming was well done and I’m sure the animals are treated well, but the communication here needs a lot of work. .

This place is for profit and nothing more. I boarded my puppy here twice, once in June and again this past weekend. Both time's at Wag Hotel Oakland my pup tore up his bed and eats at the filling. The first visit I noticed the staff walk by but did nothing to clean the area. Rocco was left in this all night. I purchased the deluxe room, cost is $110.00 per evening and includes camera availability. This is expensive for what you receive. There are cameras throughout the facility and this is a 24/7 business. Knowing this I would think, the staff would be more responsive to the animals in their care. The Supervisor, Rosie apologized and stated she spoke with the staff and this wouldn't happen again. Well it did and not one staff person has called or responded to various messages left on the voice mail at the Oakland Location. When I picked Rocco up and mentioned my dissatisfaction, the young lady said sorry but didn't ask any additional questions. Ingesting the filling of his bed has irritated his stomach and Wag is aware of this as well. I want to add they aren't honest and never pick up the phone or return calls. I'm posting pictures and I have plenty more. At any given time there are 50-80 dogs in the daycare sand the area they are kept is small at best for this amount of dogs. Rocco will not return to Wag Hotel and if you care about your furry family members, I suggest you look into other boarding options.

So far everything thing has been good. My baby Mr. Brown comes home good. The one complaint I have is, Mr. Brown has to do one on one, because he is not neutered and Webcam is not available for one on one play.

The BEST groomers on the West coast! My husband and I have taken our pup, Sloan, to multiple groomers from Seattle to the Bay Area and none have even come close to our experience with Wag Hotels. We got her the works - bath, deep conditioning treatment, nails, furminator, etc.- and they truly did a phenomenal job across the board. Sloan has never looked better and, as corny as it sounds, you could tell she walked out feeling great too (see picture for evidence). To top it off, the staff were highly professional - both the drop off/pick up processes were a breeze, the service was efficient and friendly, and we were easily able to rest assured that our baby girl was in great hands. We won't be taking our Sloan anywhere else for grooming and we can't wait to give Wag Hotel's other services a try!

Wag is the best dog boarding and daycare service available in the area. Their prices are very reasonable, their facility is clean, new, and up to date. They even have cameras to watch your dog while they play. We used to go to another dog boarding place in Oakland but had a.horrible experience with them (and they were twice the price as Wag!!) I would recommend wag and absolutely trust them with my pup.
