Emily at Bliss Bound Hound gave our 17 year old Bichon the best cut every. The entire experience was the best Grooming experience I've ever had. From the 1st phone call, to the convenient website/portal, the kindness shown to our girl, the adorable haircut and the amazing "Groomer's Notes" I received after her haircut... We've finally found our forever groomer. Excellent experience! I highly recommend Bliss Bound Hound.

BBH is fantastic! We love them for walks, day/overnight care and grooming. They're very patient with our rescue's trauma, and their care and opportunities for socializing have dramatically decreased her level of stress with new people and dogs. Her grooming is always on point, and they've been really helpful with tips and suggestions. We cannot imagine having a dog without BBH. Highly recommended.

Paul helped me coordinate a last minute nail trim for our Husky pup who doesn't love nail trims. Charlie trimmed his nails in 5 minutes and gave me some helpful tips to make it easier next time around. Couldn't recommend anymore.

A little delayed in their schedule which was a bit inconvenient, but I have to say it was the best my dog has ever looked in 14 years of getting him groomed. I will definitely go back.

Really lovely team at BBH. My dog is cared for and gets a great looking hair cut. He's an old dog but does well in their care. Easy to use online portal makes booking, paying and communication really easy.

Bruno is a full sized German Shepherd with a LOT of energy. These guys have no issue accommodating his needs and find groups for him to be in that are a good match for him. They are responsive to my concerns. 8 have used them for boarding and grooming and have been very happy with the service. The right blend of small business and professionalism.

Great service going to keep using them.

I've taken our fox terrier/shi tzu mix here three times in the past 10? months for their full grooming treatment. They've always been completely professional/responsive/friendly, have done a great job with the grooming and haircuts, they're reasonably priced and I'll be using them going forward. Love these folks.

Called this person to schedule a grooming appointment for my husky who has been suffering from hot spots. Not only was Paul extremely informative but he gave me way more information about hot spots and than my dogs actual vet! We have our appointment coming up this Saturday and I'm looking forward to it. I'll update my review with photos once Ruca (my dog) has her spa day.

Paul and Jules are awesome! We recently found them during the Covid pandemic and couldn't be happier. We have used their grooming service, day care as well as their overnight stays. Their knowledge and care for our little guy has been nothing but positive for us. We couldn't recommend a better group of folks to take care of all your furry family member's needs.

2/19/2020Updated review Response to the owners: I wrote my initial review last year based on this company's dog walking service. I did not know at the time that this company was involved in veterinary care, nor would that have been a concern for me had I known at the time. I don't view this company as a competitor, nor would I lie on an online forum if I did view them as such. I'm not sure why after all of this time, there is a tremendous attempt by Bliss bound hound to quiet my original review, accuse me of lying, and create a bizarre storyline about professional competition.I have offered (multiple times) to provide records of my calls last July, and I think that they will find in looking at them, that my story checks out. Last year, after writing my original review, I spent my personal time on the phone with Paul (he DID call me after he read my negative review) allowing him to troubleshoot what went wrong with the delivery of his online portal. After this interaction, the issue that I had with their dog walking service was behind me. I'm now confounded that seven months later, Bliss Bound Hound has launched a truly strange resurgence of an issue that in my understanding was resolved. I will offer to the owners of this company (once again.) to take me up on any communication that clarifies the issue that I had regarding signing up for their dog walking service while I was out of town last July. This is the only issue at hand...not lies, competition, and outright paranoia. I had a bad experience with the dog walking service, and they're having a really hard time understanding that they make mistakes. I wish Bliss Bound Hound all the best in the vet care arena. Original review: Interacting with bliss bound hound was an overwhelmingly negative experience for me. They confirmed a service and dates with me verbally, and then promised me an email link where I could confirm the service with my payment. The email link never came, and I made several calls to remedy the situation (and ask for their help), but didn't get a single call or communication returned. I called three times. I ended up scrambling for a dog walker last minute before heading out of town (I adore my new walker and highly recommend her), but am left completely stunned at the lack of professionality of Paul (the owner) who I had been trying to communicate with. I would never in good faith recommend this business...not to my neighbors, my clients or any of you who may be shopping for doggy care. They dropped the ball big time....you can do better for your furry friend..

My experience with Bliss Bound Hound went very smooth I was looking for a place in Oakland to board my dog Kava, she's 12 years old and on top of that she is a pitbull. They even had a form to fill out that evaluates her compatability with other dogs! Jules and Paul were very accomodating and walked me though the onboarding process with absolute patience. Kava was taken into amazing carea and sort of didin't want to leave. I would 100% reccomend them to any of my friends.

I absolutely love working with Bliss Bound Hound. They are not only great with our dog Rhody, but have also been considerate overnight guests when we need in-home dog sitting. I highly recommend them!

Paul and Jules always respond immediately to requests for service and take the time to address the specific needs of our dog Abner. Abner is crazy about Bliss Bound Hound (well, especially about Paul!) When any of them come to pick him up, he races out of the house, never once looking back! I feel extremely comfortable that Abner is being well taken care of and having a great time when he is with the Bliss Bound team!

After being disappointed in a daycare service that had our pup Odin coming back more wound up than when he left and honestly being put in dangerous situations, we were so excited to find Bliss Bound Hound. Jules and Paul run a wonderful business. I appreciated getting to meet them first, tell them all about Odin, how I'm training him, what I'm working on and to have them able and willing to reinforce all those things and more on their pack walks. It makes me so happy to know that when I have to work all day, Odin is in great hands, getting exercised and socialized!

I'm so happy with the care that Jules and Paul have been giving my Boston Terrier, Monty, especially the work they've done to socialize him! I was so pleasantly surprised to see photos of Monty romping off leash in the company of other dogs (he has been known to bolt out open gates/doors and run away and is often aggressive toward other dogs when I'm walking him) — they really have a great way with him. While at first I was sad that my work situation was changing and I was going to need outside help for Monty, I'm now thrilled to see these positive behavior changes. I also really appreciate the flexibility Jules & Paul have with my somewhat unpredictable schedule — it's nice not having to worry that Monty will be alone & bored in the house for too long.
