Yay that Novato now has a vet that is compassionate, listens to his clients, and gives great care. My very large dog is not really friendly, in fact he's a challenge with any stranger. He came out wagging his tail, not traumatized, first time ever. Dr DiMaio and all the team are great. Super friendly, professional, and competitively priced.

San Marin Animal Hospital has been our vet for our three dogs since early 2017 when we moved to West Novato. Dr. Bennett is by far the best Vet in this office, correctly diagnosing patients and maintaining an empathetic and patient demeanor. Dr. Williams is friendly and patient, but was unable to correctly diagnose one of our dogs when she had an object in her gut, leading to more than $2,000 in extra charges until Dr. Bennett stepped in (we paid about $5,500 to have the object removed). The veterinary technicians have always been friendly and patient. However one of the reception staff - Michaela, seems to always have an abrupt rudeness, cutting off anything I need or have to say. There is absolutely no reason to be rude and condescending. This has happened several times with this same receptionist, so I'm taking my three dogs elsewhere. I heard back from Dr. Bennett after bringing this to her attention. Rather than backing up the client, she backs up her rude receptionist because she is "knowledgeable." And supports me taking my business elsewhere. Absolutely mind blowing. I had given them 3 stars, now 1.

I can always get an appointment and they take great care of my big red hound, Lulu. Jeff, Erin and Sara are a fabulous team of veterinarians!

I am looking for a new vet. I called and left a message and nobody called back. I called again and spoke to the person who answered the phone. I wasn't able to come in for another month and they seemed way to busy to even talk to me over the phone. It must be nice to own a vet's office that doesn't need new clients.

My dog sustained a significant laceration on her left rear leg and a lesser laceration on her right front from a barbwire fence. I called San Marin Animal and I was encouraged to bring my dog in right away even though it was early evening. Dr Erin and the staff treated my dog with kindness and sutured the lacerations which required a general anesthesia due to the severity of the cuts. I think the veterinary care was very appropriate and not excessive. I am completely satisfied with San Marin Animal Hospital and intend to use the practice as my primary small animal veterinarians. Thank you for your kindness and help.

These guys are the bee's knees. I am relatively new to the area and have gone to three different vets to find someone remotely close to what my old vet offered. The staff at San Marin delivered on my first visit and have been following through ever since. If you're looking for a vet in the area, you're not going to find one better than these professionals, trust me I've looked.

Best vet clinic I've been to. Great service at the desk, very friendly. Accommodating for both dogs and cats. My dog loves the Dr. there. He really has a pet first approach, as well as cookies, which always help.

I was there 3 days ago with a very sick Weimaraner who is so much better. Only problem big bill.

We've tried several vet practices since moving to the Bay Area in December, but none of them gelled. So we're very happy to have finally found San Marin Animal Hospital, and are sticking with them for the care of our three beloved (but medically problematic) doxies. Dr Reardon, the techs, and front office staff are wonderful; knowledgeable, caring and, best of all, responsive to appointment requests. They're also one of the few practices offering cold laser therapy that one of our boys needs for his IVDD (bad discs). This place has everything we'd been looking for, but apparently is not easy to find! For us, they're worth the extra traveling time and we highly recommend them.

Wonderful veterinarian/animal clinic. Our dog is always had the best care and we've been going there for the last 2 years.

Great staff very friendly all the way around. I loved the doctor he took wonderful care of my puppy. In this day and age lots of office's push services really hard (Which they did not) and I felt like they listened and did only what was appropriate. Highly recommend them.
