Was told it would be $950 for a pup... How can a non-profit charge so much? Then tell me "but it's cheaper than a breeder" ummmm don't you actually want to help? Or just make money? Non-profit? Haha

We adopted from Bubba’s Hug a Pug this last weekend. Sara was so responsive, kind, and easy to work with! You can tell that she truly cares for the animals :) We are so happy to be new pawrents to a sweet pug and to have supported a great rescue!

Sara has the hugest heart for animals. Especially pugs. We adopted our pug Missy from her rescue center. Her rescues stay with her family in the house until they get adopted. She made the process easy . She communicated with me in an excellent fashion throughout the process. She and I still speak and I send her Photos. Throughout our conversations, I can tell she still loves Missy and every other animal she has helped re-home. Sara saw to Missy getting spayed. She had been used for breeding for four years. When the breeder was finished with her they relinquished her. Sara didn’t want missy to have to go through pregnancy again. She also updated all of Missy’s vaccinations. After my experience of adopting Missy I will forever adopt my pugs. I will never buy a puppy again . I have no doubt that you will love your experience working with this rescue center .

Adoption form easy to complete, rapid response from Sara. I adopted bElla, an apricot 7yo pug the next day for a very reasonable donation to the rescue. Great outfit.

I am so grateful to Sara and her commitment to Dogs and Cats. She is very knowledgeable and works hard to save the lives of animals. I adopted the most lovable Cat on this planet two years ago. He was and continues to be healthy. Documentation was very thourough. Adoption Portfolio included vaccination record, neutered and rabies certificate, tests, breed information, recommended future health care. I was very impressed with her professional approach. I sincerely recommend this very hard working individual for adoptions.

My wife and I adopted two boxer puppies from the rescue. Sara was super accommodating with scheduling to meet with us! We could tell she really cared about the puppies and making sure they found the right home together! Both were in good shape and were up-to-date on their shots, and Sara provided all of the necessary documentation for our vet to get up to speed. Overall great experience!

My wife and I got our little chug from Bubba's Hug A Pug Rescue. Sara went above and beyond, meeting us halfway to pick up our doggie, and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We would TOTALLY adopt from this rescue again. Our dog was healthy, happy and arrived freshly bathed. She even provided some of her favorite treats. Thank you so much Sara!

I have 3 wonderful pugs from them. Sara couldn't have been more helpful and truly cares about all the animals in her rescue. I find it sad that people don't understand the responability of owning a rescue animal and feel the need to leave negitive reviews due to their own ignorance. All and all, I highly recommend this rescue and the joys of having a rescue dog.

I met a wonderful lady named Sarah today at the vet. I took him my dog cuz he was really sick and honestly I wasn't expecting the bill to be so much. I didn't know how I was going to be able to financially pay to help save my fur baby's life. But Sarah and her wonderful rescue help and pledge for my fur baby. Thank you for saving my fur baby..

I recently adopted a Yorkie from Tamie, and honestly it was the BEST experience ever. She is so sweet and you can tell she definitely takes good care of her rescue babies. My Yorkie "Chewbacca" was not infected with fleas like others have mentioned. But he did have a bit of a loose stool. Tamie told me to bring him back and come to find out it was tapeworm. She provided a tapeworm injection and medicine to go home. Thank you Tamie for all your recommendations, and for all your help! Please continue to find good homes to all the fur babies out there.

Tami Hill also runs God's Paws Rescue as well. A fraud, sells sick dogs, for a living. Don't go there, EVER. She has already put the dog back up for adoption that I bought 2 weeks ago and the dog was very sick. She says she's a vet tech--If she was really smart- she'd give me back the dog that I adopted at no charge! I can certainly spread good things about anyone who is honest. Update to owner--This was on another reviewer on YOUR SITE! "Hello all, i absolutely can NOT recommend this rescue ! recently i adopted a 10 week old puppy for $650 from Tammi."

Hello all, i absolutely can NOT recommend this rescue ! recently i adopted a 10 week old puppy for $650 from Tammi. We brought the puppy home to find it was COVERED in FLEAs and lethargic. I called Tammi who we adopted from and was incredibly rude and unapologetic. We asked if she could just cover our vet visit and flea medication -- she did not. A week later the puppy starts pooping bloody diarrhea. So we take it to our vet to find out it has 2 parasites : giardia and coccidia. I can understand a dog rescue not being able to pick up on the parasites bc some dogs are not symptomatic right away, but how are you oblivious that a dog is covered in fleas and lethargic that you've been caring for weeks. I just do not understand. SHAME ON YOU. How can someone be so oblivious and neglectful running a rescue. Tammi the lady who we adopted from had a bunch of other dogs and animals coped up in such a tiny space( all of which are probably infected with parasites and fleas) Absolutely disgusting. This place is a scam that just wants your money. Asking for $650 for a sick dog that had absolutely no tests done. Do not adopt animals from this place -- there are so many legitimate rescues where animals are being properly taken care of and treated !!

Horrible place. Do not waste your time or money with these people. They claim to be animal lovers but they just love how they can rip off people. Bought a puppy from them 2 weeks ago for $600 and come to find out it was covered in fleas, ticks, and infested with ringworm. After spending over $300 at the vet to get the proper medicine and shampoo to start fixing the problem we decided to give them a call. She claims that she works at a vet office and would of given the stuff for free but failed to ever mention this to us when adopting (more like saving this dogs life). She only told us this after the fact and never during the adoption process. She even told us we can bring him back for a refund but the contract stated we have to bring the dog back in excellent condition (which the dog was sold to us sick). She acted like this is a normal thing in dogs. But I'm sorry, dogs sitting in urine and feces from himself or others is not a normal thing. They will try and say this is just part of the rescuing process, but in reality they are just turning and burning these animals so they can make a profit. If they truly cared about them they would of have had the correct tests, vaccinations, and treatment before they are put up for adoption, especially if you work at a vet.

Everyone who speaks bad about her makes me so confused. I am utterly upset because I have adopted dogs from her for the past 7 years and recently 2 days ago and I have NOT had any bad experiences at all. Maybe people just do not take care of their animals. I have never had a bad experience with this rescue at all. I recommend it to everyone. She is such a nice person; so considerate and down to earth.

We got our sweet chug, Molly, from Sara a year ago. My 18 year old chug had passed and I wanted to adopt another dog. After searching various rescues I got in touch with Sara, because Molly reminded me so much of my previous chug. The only issue was Sara and Molly lived about 4.5 hours or so away from me. Sara and her husband agreed to meet me halfway even though we were on a time crunch that day and made the process so easy and stress free for me. Molly arrived with all her paperwork, a t-shirt, collar, and leash smelling great. Our doggie's personality matched the description posted on the website and she has been such a healthy and happy dog with zero problems! We are so grateful to Sara and her husband for making the trek to bring our sweet ray of sunshine into our lives even though they had 10 fosters at the time and could have easily said no due to inconvenience. They wanted her to have a good home and made sacrifices and arrangements to make it happen. That really speaks to how they operate as a rescue and I would definitely adopt from them again and recommend them!

I have no idea what craziness is going through Shiela Barger’s head. It is a legitimate function for an animal rescue to save puppies from a backyard breeder. What evidence do you have that the rescue “purchased” the puppies? Something tells me that you have NONE. When you adopt a rescue pup, you expect to take the good with the bad. You complain, Ms Barger, that you were told that the puppy was 8 weeks old. Your vet told you it ws 5-7 weeks old. Close enough for government work. I am an attorney and maybe you should look up a term called “Libel.” I adopted my pug from Bubba’s and she is happy and healthy. Sara treated my girl for a horrible case of mange. I have nothing but good things to say about this rescue. You Ms. Barger, strike me as living proof that “no good deed goes unpunished.”

****Update: Unfortunately 12/26/18 we had to put our puppy Holly down. She was far too sick. Luckily, Tamie Hill - from the rescue worked with me and returned my adoption fee of $600 and paid the vet bill of $2800 - which was only fair. We were devestated but take comfort in the fact that Holly is no longer suffering. She was in so much pain at the end, but we wanted to give her a fighting chance, and boy did she fight.**** Too bad I can't give ZERO STARS... I adopted a sweet Maltipoo puppy named Holly from Petco in Riverside on Saturday 12/22/2018. She was kind of lethargic and by the time we got home she was refusing to eat. Could barely hold herself up but we thought maybe she just had a long rough day. She wasn't better by morning and I was up with her through the night trying to get her to eat or drink something. Took her to the vet hospital and sure enough she was anemic, blood count practically ZERO. She needed a blood transfusion and still not doing well. 2500 vet bill so far and racking up. Tammy gave me a sick puppy that would have died if I hadn't adopted her. There is no guarantee she is going to make it! You should be ashamed. She was sick FOR DAYS and probably would have died that night or the next morning, so you can't tell me you didnt know she was sick. Especially if you're a rescue that deals with dogs all the time.

RESCUE OR RIPOFF? Sara Gains, from Bubba's Hug A Pug, paid a mexican resident for 6 adorable pups and posted them as 8 weeks old. We purchased the retriever/husky mix and took her to the vet the next day. We were told, there was no way that dog was 8 weeks old. Her molars have not even broken the skin. She is barely 6 to 7 weeks. Plus she tested postive for a tick disease. So this resuce was making about a 300% profit, for selling underage dogs and even spaying them at this young age. Where is the ethics of this rescue? I called the police, since it is a crime to sell underage dogs, but there was no address on their web site. Also they were using the PetSmart legal form for purchase without any authorization signature from PetSmart. Our pup is lucky, she will have the best forever home. But now in a week, the other 5 have been bought. Selling sick dogs, that we reported to her, selling and spaying underage dogs plus making a huge profit, how can this be a rescue place? Since when should puppies and our hearts be broken by BUYERS BEWARE!
