Darby's Pet Paradise Modesto, California

This was our first time bringing our pup to Darby's Pet Paradise and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our Shepherd/Husky mix is 7 months old so we haven't had her too long but we were going on a trip for 2 weeks and wanted her to be able to play and socialize while we were gone. They were very communicative and helpful from the beginning. And PJ was so amazing with our sweet girl. It took her a couple of days to settle in but after that, she had the best time and was cared for beyond what we could've ever hoped for. We will definitely be bringing her back for any future travel and hopefully they will be doing daycare in the future as she loved playing with the other dogs there. I left my dog there this weekend and the facility was clean and organized. The staff was friendly and you could clearly see their love for animals from the way they treated our dog. I would definitely use them again. Our dig returned home happy and healthy.

Caring and thoughtful facility. Leaving our dog there for a week worked out wonderfully. Staff monitored intake, exercise, social and behavioral patterns and had a thorough report upon my return. Dog settled back into his household rhythm within an hour and slept well. A+ !

Our French bulldog Cami seemed to love it here and we will be coming back for sure! The love that they show the pups can be seen. I highly recommend!

Boarded my 2 dogs at Darby's and one has never been boarded before. I was so worried about him but once he got here he was running around so happy. Picked them and they looked like they had a great time. Owners were amazing and took great care of my babies.

I tried using this boarding service . Let’s just say 1st of all they don’t seem to answer their phone during the hours they are open. I had to call a couple days in a row. Second of all I knew my cat needed to get shots but I almost noticed that on pet paradise site it says the shots needed to be done and after 48 hours so I asked on of the sisters if they could wave that? I explained my cat is a 100% indoor cat. She said don’t worry I totally understand we can wave it. The day I was going to bring cat I was at vet when I had called to make sure I could bring cat . The other sister answered and rudely said I cannot accept the cat. It has to be over 48 hours of getting shots. I explained once again the Vet even piped in why? If your cat is 100% indoor cat never been near another cat I don’t see issue. But to no avail. I’m sure they might be great with pets but when one tells you one thing and then supposedly questions her sister and her sister doesn’t cop to it makes you think. They are seemed to be the perfect place but everything is not what it seems! I understand the rules of what’s posted on website that’s exactly why I asked one of the sisters about waving that. I was told I must of miss understood what she said. I’ve been in business for over 40 years believe me no reason to miss understand. Thanks

I feel so blessed that I found Darby’s pet paradise. Tiffany and Vanessa are fabulous, I had a peace of mind knowing that my little baby was in good hands . And I have you to thank for it . I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful care you gave to my little baby .

They took great care of my pet Chihuahua while I was gone for 6 days. They where even able to give me feedback on the daily behavior of my dog that matched up perfectly to how my dog behaves, that let's me know they where there daily to care for my dog. They are located in the outskirts of the city and I feel like it gave my dog a breath of fresh air. They where also able to feed my dog her snacks which keep her from going wild. Thank you Tiffany!

Very honest and upfront about their facility

Dropped our dog off, so we could take a quick trip down south. Nice grounds and dog seemed to do okay. Will be using them for any other times we need to take a trip sans dog.

I left my three angels here for four days for the first time. I was a bit nervous because my terrier Bear gets anxious in new environment s. I picked up my furbabies and I could tell by their behavior that they were well taken care of. I am so happy to have found Darbys. The environment was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I feel confident that I can go out of town in the future and my babies will be safe!

We had a great experience with Darby's watching our 2 dogs for us while we traveled. They went out of their way to be accomadating. Their service includes letting the dogs into the play yard several times a day and giving them anything you request (such as toys or treats you bring, or medicine if needed). We had previously had a bad experience at a different facility and were nervous about boarding again but the ladies allowed us to check in on the dogs on one of their personal cell phones, which we appreciated immensely. We will definitely be using Darby's in the future!

Great facilities and caring staff providing special needs as necessary when needed as well as going above and beyond sufficient care required was demonstrated for all the guests/ animals observed on site during my unannounced visit to these premises while on official buisness.

This is an excellent boarding facility. They thoroughly check pet shot records and make pet health, safety and comfort a priority. The staff is knowledgeable and conscientious. They engage with your pet. Animals get a comfortable place to sleep and daily yard exercise. Awesome kennel.

I have never boarded a pet before and I literally got sick thinking about it. My daughter takes her dogs here and I've heard only good things. My dogs were nervous and 1 barked the whole 3 days, but the women were patient with them and took great care of them. If I need to board tthem again, I will definitely bring them back.

Very happy with the care and love they give their furry friends. Our Charlie seems to feel comfortable there and likes his play dates.
