Absolutely Love Doc Byerly!! (Thank you for coming out and gelding my 26" miniature stud.) Wouldn't go anywhere else or trust any other vet.. Best Ever!!

I leave Fresno to use this Vet. The people are great. Ask about Dental for your Pets. I also get medical grade dog food here.

In all my years of having my fur babies, I have Never met a Veterinarian like Dr Byerly. He is so compassionate, caring, and a lover of all animals which you will see for yourself once you meet him. He has come to our home with 3 or 4 of my elderly dogs, gave them the injection so they could peacefully die in my arms which, helped me tremendously with my grief since I was right there to tell them I loved them and to kiss them goodbye. Veterinarians don’t make house call’s these days, but Dr Byerly sure did. He is our Saint Francis of Assisi on Earth !!! One more important thing I must add is, His Office Staff are amazing. The girls are also so very sweet, compassionate, caring and make you feel so welcome. The prices are lower than most of the Vets in this area and you don’t have a long waiting time at all. Dr. Byerly is THE BEST there is! And his STAFF is right up there with him! Been taking all of our animals to him - so kind and fair. Today he made a special trip to his office so my daughter could be there when we put our family dog down, she was in bad shape. Dr. Byerly knows how to make that difficult time a real beautiful moment. Thank you Dr. Byerly - you are an angel!

Do not take out of town residents, referred to a place that was closed waisting more of my time in my darkest hour. Drove 40 miles away to another county to get excellent care.

I have about 4 vets within 5-10 minutes driving distance. I drive 45 minutes to go to this one because the level of care and knowledge of this Vet is second to none. This place can be full of patients and even then they don't rush you, they answer all your questions and take the time to explain things in a way that you can understand. they also make you feel welcome. The staff is professional and you can easily tell they love animals which gives me piece of mind! super friendly staff! I will never take my pets anywhere else after finding out about this place and neither should you! if you haven't given this place a shot please consider it, you will never go anywhere else. Thank you guys so much for taking good care of my 2 furry friends!

Everyone at Sierra Gateway are awesome. Dr. Byerly is extremely knowledgeable, kind and has a great manner with animals and people. He is so helpful to us as new goat owners.

My Eva would not be alive today without this team and the up to date research Dr. Byerly is always reading. This is a cutting edge medical practice. We have had a few animals put to sleep here, and it is always a hard experience, but they handle it well.

I’ve been a client of Dr. Byerly for over 20 years and it gives me no pleasure to write this negative review. This veterinarian, Jim Byerly, and his tech, Jessica, are great, and before Dr. Byerly opened this clinic and hired a bunch of (in my estimation) inexperienced and unprofessional women to run it, I had always had fantastic interactions with him and excellent care for my pets. Unfortunately, most of his current staff is either rude and condescending, or incompetent. They LOST my semi-feral cat and mother of 6-week old kittens after spaying her because they FAILED TO LATCH THE CARRIER PROPERLY. She bolted out of the carrier just as I was putting her in the car and took off like a shot. I searched and called for her for 30 minutes, and came back to the location later to search some more and never found her. Imagine this poor, semi-feral mama kitty out in the wild countryside without her kittens and with a fresh surgical wound. The technician, Jessica, apologized at the moment it happened, but I never received an apology from Dr. Byerly or anyone else at his clinic. And that’s in spite of me leaving 2 messages for him: one with his rude and condescending receptionist, and one with his telephone exchange service that weekend. I think the least they could have done was follow up with an official apology by phone, and perhaps even make an effort to look for her, or put out food and water for her, etc., but they never did, nor did they apparently think it fair to refund the $160+ I paid to have this kitty spayed. A word about the carrier I used to transport the cat: it was an older carrier with 3 latches. The middle latch was broken but the top and bottom latches worked fine, and those were the latches I used to transport her. If they undid the latches to get her out of the carrier before surgery, surely they could figure out how to re-latch it properly. Regardless, you don’t just close a pet carrier door and assume it’s securely latched, you check and double-check to make sure the door is secure. It’s basic common sense, plain and simple. One final note about staff incompetence: when I dropped off the cat early that morning to have her spayed, I was met by an older woman (perhaps the cleaning person?) who proceeded to tell me that lactating cats can’t be spayed and it was a mistake for me to bring her for surgery. When I disagreed with her, she went in to get one of the techs (I think it was Jessica), who came out and told me that it was fine to have her spayed. Thank you for all the great years of veterinarian service, Dr. Byerly, but I won’t be coming back.

Fantastic services, very personable and you'll never find a vet that cares about you or your animals like Doc Byerly. He's also less expensive than any other vet in town. He doesn't ask you to do anything that is not necessary for your animal there's no x-rays or blood test or anything if they're absolutely not needed.

Highly recommended for any animal. The staff is friendly and they explain things thoroughly. I feel reassured my pets are safe after every visit. They are great with routine visits and the unexpected accidental visits that include dog bites or personal injury.
