I have had really good interactions with all the staff here. Dr. Steigmeyer is fantastic! He really cares for your fur baby. He's taken time to get to know and befriend my overly protective small fur baby. She genuinely likes him. The other Dr's are good too. The only issue is that it takes a long time for an appointment. It's been like this since the pandemic hit. Really great clinic though.

So pleased that excellent care is available in McKinleyville for my dogs.

I have used this facility for two years and I am not impressed for several reasons related to the way they manage their business. Their phone system, office hours, communication, and policies on sharing your personal information are poor at best, with the latter being completely unacceptable. Use them as a last resort only. The practice provides fair overall treatment of your animals, but their care facility is poor quality. Ask them to let you see it and you will see what I mean. They do what they can but they are not sufficiently equipped to provide higher quality care. I have lived in several states and had many pets and veterinarian providers over the decades, and this place just isn’t at the “good” standard or worth your pets love and value. Take your pet, time, and money elsewhere. I also suggest contacting the California Veterinary Medical Board to check the credentials of your veterinarian, their business, c ok plaint information, review the pet protection act, and other quality information.

I usually never write reviews, but this horrible place has it coming….This place is one of the worse vets i have ever dealt with and i travel the United States working at different hospitals…They lie to you and make up stories, for example.. they said they cant give my dog a flu vaccination without being seen after a year.. the vet could lose there license.. but i call another vet and they say come on in between 9 and 4 and we will give her the shot without being seen… ???? going back to the beginning… i called last week they told me they have clinic for shots 12 to 1 on Saturdays.. so i show up after taking 2 hours off work and i was rudely told they only see 30 people and to read the door…. I am so disgusted with this place… but than again excited about finding a new vet for my dog ????

I have never gotten amazing service and questions ive asked at every vet visit have continued to go unanswered. There Just aren’t enough vets for our area and I understand that this clinic is full and not taking any new pets as patients but most people I chatted with at their shot clinics where all underwhelmed and had various services they wanted / questions gone unanswered.

The only way to make this experience better would be for them to make the pandemic end.....that's about it, lol I mean, we all know these folks have that power....they aren't fooling anybody. Kidding, of course....we love your practice, and all the staff. We wouldn't entrust our girls to anyone else. Thank you!!!

The vets are nice but unfortunately they seem to have taken on far too much business without staffing themselves for it. Getting in touch with them in order to schedule appointments, or even to get seen once you’re there, takes at least a half an hour. Your chances of getting an urgent visit same day are pretty non existent and when you do get in touch good luck with your animals illness, they won’t be seen for at least 6 weeks. Very frustrating trying to care for animals when your primary care for them is inaccessible.

We've always had great experiences here. I've always appreciated their care of the animals, and their precautions during the pandemic especially. The vets have always gone above and beyond explaining things, and not pushing any procedures or meds.

We have been bringing our pups here for over 3 years. Although covid has made them a curbside pickup and delivery for your puppies and kitties, the staff is still very friendly and very courteous. We have four chihuahuas, and they all love going to see the staff here, and the feeling of the staff is mutual, they love seeing our puppies there. We have one Chihuahua that is not the friendliest of puppies, but these guys think that he is absolutely the sweetest little guy in the world so that tells me that they are very caring and loving with the animals if our very picky Chihuahua like these guys. I would highly recommend them for all of your veterinary needs.

Very kind and thoughtful care for our dogs!

My regular vet could not fit me in when our 10 year old dog was so ill I thought I would have to put him to sleep. McKinleyville Animal Care was able to get him in the same day because they have multiple vets, and right away confirmed their suspicions that he had severe ear infections. They cleaned him up and now he is acting younger than ever. I am forever grateful and have been taking our dogs there for a year now. The vets and vet techs truly like animals and my dogs are no longer nervous to go to the vets.

Dog got cuaght under our fence and had a big wound on her uper shoulder and as soon as we got there they got her in and fixed up within a half hour! You guys rock, thankyou very much , the bartletts

Everyone I’ve been in touch with here has always been caring and top notch care for the animals. Really appreciate how they treat my fur babies!

I am so grateful to have found this veterinary centre (especially after trying a few others). I have always experienced professional, efficient, compassionate care at the most competitive prices in Humboldt (which can be a difficulty for some of us that love our fur babies but are on a tight budget). I have recommended MACC to all of my animal loving friends and many have switched over to them. They are far more affordable than other vet offices, with excellent care and are timely with appointments. The veterinarians and techs are helpful, really care about your pet(s) and attentive. Highly recommend.

The staff and doctors are amazing and great at what they do, they brought my puppy back from parvo.

Take all my animala here. I like it. My only exception is it was a little expensive.

Prompt and organized. Chunky is wagging his tail often.

I'm just not a big fan of this place way over priced a lot of people not knowing what they are doing
