Cheapest place to take your dogs if going out of town..

We have used Farrington kennels over the past 6 years. Tanya is like family, and she cares for every pet as if they are her own. My dog gets so excited every time we drop him off there. That , to us, speaks volumes.

I brought my dogs and for boarding and was not allowed to see any part of the facility, even though I was told when booking on the phone that I could. The lady working the front desk said, “welcome to California!“ She said that after I shared that I was surprised that I couldn’t see any of the facilities since that seems like a standard practice at the dog boarding places I have taken my dogs to. To say that she was rude was an understatement. She then aggressively took my dogs to the back and said another sarcastic comment to me. Luckily the hotel that I was traveling to allow dogs, so I was able to bring my dogs with me instead of leaving them at this facility. I had read many negative reviews about this facility and think they really need to be highlighted. Every person I saw working there looked miserable and agitated, not the environment you want to leave your dogs in.

I recently left my two dogs there for three nights and when I pick them up my dogs were so different. they were so scared, My boxer doesn’t want to go lay down she was standing up every time for long periods and when I would touch her side she would suck in her ribs like she was frightened and she’s drinking very little but not eating. This place did something to her I’m not sure why but I most certainly certain That they neglected her question or they didn’t make her comfortable at all. My dog would never act like this ever my other dog which is a Chihuahua ran in her crate and didn’t come out for 5 to 6 hours he was shriveled up in the corner of it frighten. I had to take them out and hold them in a blanket and he finally starting to calm down I contacted them and spoke with them on the phone asking what were their schedules like did they notice that they weren’t eating or drinking and she put me on hold for five minutes and came back and said oh well it seemed like she didn’t eat that much but always she always ate some. I hope my dog doesn’t pass away but if she does for being neglected I will make sure I bring this business down and I will also contact every local news station in contact every person I need to in order for them to go into this place and check them out

Family went on vacation for a week and left our animals with Farrington. They had their shots and were in good health. When we got back we were excited to see our cat and dog, Ella and Albie. Three days after we picked our animals up, our cat Ella has passed away. She just laid on the couch and stopped breathing. She was such a health and young cat (only two years old), and her death was very sudden and scary for us. After seeing that this isn’t the first time animals have been changed/hurt with Farrington, I would never never recommend this company to anyone who loves their animal. Rip Ella.

Cheap boarding, my dogs absolutely love it and always seem to rush in happy an Exsited. Will be continuing to board our dogs there when we leave for long trips there.

I was a little disappointed to hear they won't take take my man aggressive dog, they told me they had three guys working there and that it would be a problem, once I told them the breed, they immediately shut me down and said no. I understand that they may not be capable to take on a task like that, but seriously not even one female staff can watch her. I'm more disappointed on how they didn't even try making it work, I even told them I left her at the vet for hours and that she showed no signs of aggression while I was gone. But it seems like that part just flew over their heads. I expected more from this kennel.

We left our dog for 2 weeks. No issues with the facility but a minor issue with them misplacing some of our pet items, all of which we got back after 2 weeks. So be sure to label any toy or dog bed you are bringing. What would I improve, i would recommend to add a service for a check in call with owners to provide a general status of their pets (whether they had separation anxiety, not eating or overall ok). It could be additional fee if necessary.

Very affordable place to keep my dog during vacations. Staff is friendly and site is well maintained and clean. Office is closed weekends so drop off pets during weekdays. Please note there is a two hour lunch break during the week. Our dog always comes home happy!

Just got Maddy back from a one week stay at Farrington. She is so great. They do an excellent job at this kennel. Maddy is happy and healthy. Maddy loves it here and I always know she is well taken care of. Thank you to the staff at Farrington.
