Please do yourself the favor and go to the vet on schnoor they are affordable and offers more then this vet will ever have. Not to mention they also have better customer service who will not give you attitude. This vet will turn you away if you recommend or ask questions about their work. And tell you to go elsewhere.

The veterinarian explain to me in detail about the bloodwork my cat had, and I asked for a print out of his bloodwork that way I can keep my own records. I really appreciate the staff they are very caring, and the veterinarian is very thorough.

I’ve spent well over $1000 here. I only came here because all the other vets had no appointments and the gentleman that worked there was super nice ! So anyways my basset hound had gotten stitched 2-3 times and put under unnecessary anesthesia due to lazy stitching ( photos of when he came out their office attached ) and they still insisted I get him stitched again ! well I decided they could just wrap him up for me and I’d continue his treatment MY way he ended up healing up when I looked after him and tried my methods this vet office is only looking for your money. They lied to me and said my other basset hound had an ear infection when she only had dirty ears . On top of that they’ve given me medical advice over the phone multiple times but when I asked if a product was safe for dogs they insisted I go in for an appointment! Spend money to know if a product is safe neem oil to be exact. That’s crazy ! So instead they got their feelings hurt acted like teenagers and sent me a letter stating they didn’t want to do business with me which is fine because I haven’t used them since early 2021 due to their laziness and excuses to charge you . Don’t breathe near their office you might get charge $50 per breath.

This is the best Vetenarian and staff by far I have ever been to. Unfortunately, our baby boy Lucky was very sick with Lymphoma cancer and we had to put him down. The Vet and all his staff were so good with us and our fur baby I highly recommend them if you are looking for a caring Dr and staff this is the place ♥️ we will forever be grateful to all of you at Madera animal hospital God bless you all! This is not a complaint about any covid rules. This complaint has to do with staff or doctors following up. Nobody calls about the prognosis. Nobody in the office gets back to you. Nobody calls you about the arrival of the medicine to their office. Like someone else said your left guessing what you should do next. My cat was taken in for a general health check up on a Wednesday. The bill for that day was $585 dollars. I was told to pick up my pet at 4:00pm and the doctors would tell me the prognosis. I waited in the 107 degree car until 4:20 and called them only to be told the doctor would call me the next day. Thursday morning I waited and waited until 11:00am. I called the doctors office to see if what were the lab results and they told me he had diabetes and would check their stock of insulin or order the medicine. They told to go in the following day to show me how to inject the medicine into my cat. I waited all day Friday for someone in the office to call me and schedule the how to session about injecting my cat with insulin. It’s Friday 5:00pm their closing time is 6:30. It looks like I will have to call again I don’t think they want people showing up at the office any time of the day with all this covid rules that I would like to respect and follow. Edit: The review above was wrote in a difficult time. The veterinarian was able to call me in a timely manner. My 14 year old cat was diagnosed with diabetes. After a few months of injecting insulin (the vet techs taught me how) he has now leveled out. He is starting to look healthy again. Thank you Madera Animal Hospital.

We had a very sick cat on a Friday afternoon and brought her in and the doctor came out to the car and talked to us. He was very compassionate and helped us decide what needed to be done. Our cat got surgery and is now healthy.

The entire experience is as good as any vet could make it in times of COVID. The whole system is so easy that I don’t think we should ever go back to waiting rooms and people doing walk-ins. Every time my animals have been returned to me after their visit they are calm and comfortable. Madera Animal Hospital is a place for people who love their animals and want to see that they get the best care possible.

The staff and Doctors are very polite and caring, they always remember your pets name and greet you with smiles. We love them and so do our pets. We have been taking our pets there since 2007.

My dog, Maggie, was showing signs of an illness and was needing attention. In the past I had used Madera Animal Hospital and was hesitant due to indifferences but considered going back for the sake of Maggie. I am so glad I did! The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dr. Mehtab Dhillon kept me up-to-date on the diagnosis, the lab work, as well as explaining in depth what needed to be done, the prognoses and aftercare. He is a wonderful doctor.

This place is magnificent! A few years ago we had our dog get an infection on the back of her neck due to her getting into that trash that had spicy food in it that irritated her skin. She ended up with a very bad injury and it scabbed and was purple with pus. It would bleed and so we decided to take her here. The doctors were EXTREMELY caring and they made sure our dog was comfortable and that she was happy. They ended up giving us her medication and they put her in a cone to help. In 2 weeks the scab healed nicely and she was so happy. Those doctors always make sure your pet is comfortable before they take them to the back to check them and they always come back with a happy tail!

Made an appointment for 3:00 for my dog to get checked out since his time is near. We just wanted to check if he was okay and not suffering inside and get some medication so that he isn't so depressed. We waited in the hot sun in our car for 40 minutes longer than we were supposed to meaning they ended up treating my dog at 3:40. If they are going to schedule an appointment can they at least keep their word or tell us when the real appointment is coming up. Unbelievable

If you guys really really care about your pet never bring your pet here please please please I’m beginning you never bring them here. They are rude and never seem to actually care about your pet the staff and doctor very much seem like they care more about the money than the pet.

My puppy is 4 months old, he got into a chain link fence and ended up getting it stuck in his mouth ... I hurried him up to the animal hospital and told them him was in my car bleeding and needed urgent care. They put me on hold, told me they would send someone out, I waited for 24 minutes. Then when they finally had someone come out to get my dog they just looked at him and told me how much I would have to pay before they started working on him. They took my money then within 3 minutes of having my dog with them they called and said that the doctor could not work on him. They told me the only people that can help is all the way in Monetary for $2,800-$3,600 but that he would be in pain the whole way there. The event took place at 11:20am this was already at 5:00pm. The final option was me having to put him down or sign over my rights. I signed so that. he can live rather than die, thank God my boyfriend ended up getting our dog back the next morning, when we picked him up he was the same, the chain stuck in his mouth and he stunk because the chain was rotting him mouth ... we hurried up to UC Davis where they worked on our dog and healed him. Very professional there. We were told that our dog needed a CT SCAN which he did not. The total we paid at David was $800, that included the walk in fee of $245. Do not bring your pets here, they are not animal lovers at all, I called them and told them that I believe they should pay me my money back since they did not do what they promised nor help my dog at all, the manager Lisa kept saying no and did not ask me not once how my dog is, shows that they do not care. I hope this helps others, do not bring your pet here.
