VCA Animal Hospital of Los Gatos Los Gatos, California

I thought this hospital would at least cares about animals’ health. No. My pet was sick. The doctor simply did not have any clue or did not bother to find a way to check the sickness. Instead the doctors pushed for feces, ears exams which are quite meaningless given they take dewormer and have ear cleaning. This hospital only wants money from you. They tried not to give you the vaccination record so that it would be difficult for you to find another place for continuing vaccinations.

Amazing clinic, everyone there is wonderful and took such great care of my cat.

They took excellent care of our kitties while we were out of town and everyone was super sweet and nice to deal with.

This was an amazing experience. Thoughtful and caring staff and I highly recommend them. (Leaps and bounds better than a vet we used a town over with no bedside manner at all)

When I had a series of mishaps with getting a health certificate for international travel, the staff at this clinic were so incredibly helpful and supportive - especially Phoenix and Dr Wiese. Even though it didn't work out in the end, I will be forever grateful for their kindness and support!

I trust them with the lives of family members. I can think of no higher recommendation.

We love all the vets and the staff here. They are very knowledgeable, treat our pets like family, and happily provide us with advice for raising our small menagerie. The staff is warm and friendly, and always seems willing to help. On the rare occasion we have had to wait past our appointment time, they have profusely apologized. They seem to value us and our animals, and we always have a good experience.

I wouldn't give them any stars if i could and so many people have said they have been taken advantage of there too.....beware and do not go. It's all about $$$$$$ 1000.00 for a procedure that has to be undone less than 24 hrs. Later. Oh and the procedure was 10 min Who do u know makes 100 dollars a minute? Vca of Los gatos that's who.

Don't want to recommend to anyone. Vet from VCA lied/ignored about my dog's parasite test result, and told me that parasite has gone after her treatment and nothing to worry about although the 2nd test results were POSITIVE! This led my dog to suffer over a month and when I asked why they missed it, the vet from VAC gave me runarounds and tried to put the blame on everything else but herself in very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful way. To me, VCA is busy with making money, they don't really care about my dog. Staffs that we met at the VCA were nice but vet.

Very competent, professional, and truly caring medical, technical, and admin staff. The message board welcoming your pet by name before entering the facility is a nice touch. They care enough to follow up with you after your pet's visit to insure its wellness.

We have been coming to the VCA for about 16yrs and have never had a negative experience with the staff so I was surprised to read some of these reviews. When our 9 month old chocolate lab had a major accident and needed immediate attention no one hesitated to come to our aid. It was truly a team effort from the moment they got our call. I know the attention and care this team gave him saved his leg and possibly his life. They are serious about what they do and they truley care about the animals they see.

We love our vets and staff at Los Gatos and appreciate their wonderful service for all our pets. We have been happy customers since we moved to Monte Sereno in 2007. We highly recommend them.

Our vet was generally competent, but the office in general has a serious issue with either their information technology, or communications in general. We took our cat, who had lost a lot of weight and had started urinating much more than usual, in for a check-up and diagnosis. We didn't hear back for nearly two weeks, at which time we learned that she had diabetes and needed to go on insulin. The follow-up appointment was also disappointing, and left us with more questions than answers. Fortunately, there are other veterinary options in the area.

Hello, I want to give you all an update on my situation with VCA Los Gatos. We were contacted by the manager of the clinic, and she was very kind and professional. She cancelled the Care Plan for my dog who had passed away, and offered to cancel the Care Plan for my other dog. That was very kind of her, and I thank her for it. She also told me that she would discuss my concerns about their customer service with her staff. That is also very reasonable and professional. So I thank her for that as well. I just wanted to let everyone know that things have worked out better than expected. ———- Hi Pet Lovers, I have to tell you what happened to me at VCA in Los Gatos today. First of all, the doctors there are fantastic. So kind and so caring. I’m very happy with that. But I’m not very happy with some of the support staff and their policies. Now maybe – “me no speak English good, but me write just fine”!! Yes – I do have an accent when I speak English. I hope they aren’t discriminating against me because of that. My big complaint is really about a little clause in their “Care Plan”. The one that says you can’t cancel during the year without paying out the contract. Apparently in there it says this applies even if the pet DIES. Well exactly that just happened to us now. I guess we do have some responsibility to carefully read the contract, but I think this clause is so onerous that it should be pointed out by their staff when you are sold the Care Plan contract. Again – the DOCTORS at VCA Los Gatos, were fantastic and even called my home to check on me after my dear little family member passed away… but then to be told in a sort of matter of fact manner that even though my departed pet had DIED I was still on the hook for the rest of the year’s payments. It’s crazy. It’s bad. In fact, it’s unacceptable. Apparently different VCA’s have different Care Plans, because I went to the one in Santa Clara on Lawrence and got a completely different and much more sympathetic version of this story. Not good. No more VCA Los Gatos for me.

I called to have some prescriptions for my cat re-filled, and I was told I would get a call back. After 2 days, I hadn't got a call back. When I called and relayed my request again, the person who answered the phone was snippy and abrupt. I mentioned to this person that I had called 2 days ago, and never got a call back. The person did not apologize and also when we ended the conversation, she just hung-up and did not say goodbye. During my past visits, the technicians were very helpful, and Dr. Stroberg has been helpful. I don't know if my message got lost, or Dr. Stroberg forgot to respond to my message.

Not impressed with the staff here. Condescending, verging on rude. Came here because dog had an ear infection didn't need all the extra tests to raise the price of my bill.
