Judy is just amazing, my dog is a Samoyed and if you don't know they are the fluffier dog than any dog and big at the same time, trust me it's hard to deal with that! I tried a couple of private grooming places which I wasn't happy until I was referred to Judy by my dog walkers, Fitpals. Since then, hands down she did such a magical work that I don't even care to brush my dog anymore ( hope she doesn't read this)! It worth every penny and I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The initial drop off was what you’d expect from a groomer with quick powwow about what we were hoping to get done on our pooch. Nothing crazy just a short version of a schnauzer cut since it’s been hot in the city. We got a phone call not too long later saying that the beard might be shorter than expected on account of some matting. When we picked up our dog however her entire face and body were shaved down. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen her face like that, or at all since it’s usually hidden under somewhat of a beard. Judy said it was because the matting was just too much and she had to shave her down. My dog is almost 10 years old and she has never had matting warranting her face being shaved down to the cheek. She looks more like a chihuahua than anything as she’s basically hairless now. I would attach photos but I’m so embarrassed at how she looks compared to what I asked for. Will never be going back. Prefer the dependability of some chain groomers like a Petco.

Omg where to begin! Judy is so kind, nice and caring and really takes the time to listen and take care of your pup. They work with 1-2 dogs at a time to ensure your pup is getting the attention they need. The shop is clean, grooming is efficient and such great quality. So happy I found this gem in DTLA!!

Judy was amazing as always! Every time we take Cali to the spaw, she leaves with so much energy and joy, in addition to the beautiful cut and fresh scent. The Local Spaw is our favorite, and now our ONLY, grooming place for Cali.

Amazing!!! I just moved here and was nervous looking for a groomer in LA and I found this place on google. My dogs looked fabulous and she was so nice and made sure she understood what I wanted for my dogs. This place is amazing I’m so glad I found them!!!

I dropped off two pure bred Havanese pups and picked up one unevenly cut/shaven, nearly bald, just ridiculously looking unhappy and stressed out pup, and another that was basically untouched aside from whatever a buzzer could do quickly that was so anxious and visibly shaken that she expelled diarrhea on the floor before leaving... which has literally never happened in the 2+ years we've had her. I'm beyond the point of "can't warn others enough" about this place, and wish negative star ratings could be given. Taking your dog to anywhere else would be better, guaranteed.

I'm a new pet owner of a English bull dog ???? I'm so happy I found a great place to take cookie ????. It was such a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend it. Thank you Judy for taking care of my baby! You are the best. ! See you soon !

I took my beloved Yorkie, Abby, here for summer haircut and nails. Judith did an outstanding job and gave Abby a free massage which made Abby fall asleep. She looked adorable when my husband picked her up with a new rhinestone flower collar. We will return!

Always a good easy process with Judy at the Local Spaw. My puppy always comes out fresh looking good and we’re both so happy with her services. Judy is a great groomer very easy to work with and takes good care of the animals. I highly recommend!

Judy is the best!! My baby miniature poodle was getting groomed for only the second time ever and was previously traumatized by another unprofessional local groomer and Judy helped he and I both feel very comfortable!! We can’t wait to go back soon!

Been taking my pets here for a few months and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Judy is an absolute pro and the dogs love her! I have both a short coat dog and one with fast growing scruffy hair. The quality of the cuts/baths for both are excellent! We love to get the treatment add ons for extra pampering. Our favorites are the shedding brush outs and champagne spaw bath. The co2 skin therapy is wonderful for our pup’s sensitive skin!

*This place looks so cool from outside* When it comes to food I’m not persuaded by reviews(although this place is next to a great restaurant) but when it comes to my pup reviews matter! Judy was amazing my puppy is not an easy pup to handle she has lots of energy and she is very spoiled. I was very afraid Judy would call me and tell me she would not behave and to come pick her up! Total opposite she was able to clean her and even make her paws smooth like a baby(Something I have been begging her old groomer to do)! No complaints from me and I’m sure we will be seeing Judy again!

I took my clients Raggamuffin cat in to have a lions cut here yesterday... and he looks sooo good!! When I brought him in, he was in rough shape... his entire belly was one big mat and his white fur was long, and out of control for even him to groom himself! Sarah Mi was our groomer and she was not only friendly and professional, but she also did a great job with small detail and making sure that he wasn’t too stressed during the process. As soon as we let him out of his carrier at home we could tell he was feeling lighter and more confident! In addition, their store front is sooo cute and high end in style. Brought my Mainecoon cat in for a haircut as he gets too fluffy when the seasons transition and gets hairballs. The ladies at The Local Spaw were wonderful with setting up appointments and being patient because it took my vet a little longer than anticipated to verify his vaccination records. The cut looks great and he didn't seem traumatized when it was time to pick him up which wasn't the case with the last place we took him. Would highly recommend.

No complaints. Actually one very minor, my little one is a malipoo mix. I asked her to cut his hair short (she mafe a comment like "okay short to where you need tk cone back in 6 weeks?") I thought it was sort of odd question. I said.. umm …

Rufus loves to see his favorite groomer, Judy (even when we walk by he wants to say “Hi”)! He’s usually very fearful of all the other local spa/grooming boutiques and refuses to walk even a block in the same direction!? So, to our relief, we know he feels safe at Local Spaw and walks right in. We really appreciate the kindness & care Judy gives to Rufus. The vibe is also very calm & relaxing, and super clean! You can see through the glass, and know your pup is safely groomed. When we don’t have an appointment Local Spaw is very accommodating to fit us in for nail trims, and texts us when to pick up - super efficient. We bring both our dogs into Local Spaw to get maintenance nail/trims & baths, but waiting for winter to get full grooming treatment for our rescue pups once their hair is longer!
