I don’t often leave reviews but I have to give credit where it’s due. I started going to Allan’s 3 weeks ago after getting my baby bearded dragon and it will always be my go to pet store for as long as I live here. Very helpful and kind staff for a new pet owner. Also, the feeder crickets are at a very fair price and are never dead. Chris gave me great advice on helping set up my new terrarium, and Roy, one of the managers, went above and beyond in helping me after one of my heat bulbs broke from a manufacturing error. The pets in the store are also clearly well taken care of, which any customer would appreciate.

Small location feels a little cramped, specializes in reptiles, smaller tropical fish selection. Staff is friendly and excellent!

Always knowledgeable staff. Friendly services, even if you feel like you're confident in your research, they are more than happy to guide you on habitat, feeder, substrate. Found my LA go to reptile store.

Used to go to this spot when it was called Medusa's. I liked Medusa's but would say it is even better now. Lot more choices, lot more staff. Just wish they would open earlier on Saturdays! There was a place before you guys in this location that was called Medusa LA. Sold exotic pets as well.

Very friend staff, I was able to get what I needed from this pet store. Their reptile enclosures and animals seem to be well cared for. And their employee was really knowledgeable.

Big reptile quantity. My favorite is that they actually give you 100 crickets for the price. Other stores say they'll give you a lot of crickets but they dont

They moved to a smaller place but the items are still quality. Since it is so small not much items. But they told me they will open a larger store soon closer to downtown.

I have had to surrender 2 algae eaters and 3 Oscars to Allen's. We have a 90 gallon fresh water tank . We had ordered mineral sand thinking it would be a nice add on to the aquarium . Unfortunately the end result was foggy water and Our 3 Oscars going belly up. We tested the water and everything tested perfect ,so we were baffled why our fish were having such a drastically hard time adjusting. Within a half an hour our Oscars had lost all their color and floating to the top ,gasping for air which obviously are not normal for fish We had to make a sudden decision to surrender them to anyone who could save them. We called our local Petco,P÷rsmart and both stored instantly said NO . NO MORE SURRENDERS. I called Allen's 2 minutes to their closing and explained what we were dealing with. I was literally making these calls in my driver's seat with the fish in a bucket and no solution. 2 minutes to closing Allen's said bring them asap. Rush hour traffic i made it to Allen's about 30 minutes after closing . When I arrived Allen's Employee Fat was extremely helpful. All the Employees were so friendly and instantly placed the Oscars in a healthy aquarium and In happy to say they perked up and showed their enthusiasm to their new home.Thank You Allen's. YOUR STAFF Is Awesome and I'm So Grateful fo.r your help saving my little Oscar Buddies

Best and most knowledgeable staff the owners have decades of experience. I would recommend this place for new pet owners or experience pet owners alike. There's no such thing as a dumb question feel free to ask the staff anything chances are they'll have a good answer for you.

Best live feeders for beardies on the Westside/Valley areas

I haven't even bought my pet from them yet (it hasn't arrived at the shop yet) and already I'm sold as a customer for life! My son earned having a pet rat and based off the reviews, I decided to go here. So I called ahead and asked if they had any, which they did not as their shipment was backed up. My son, who has autism, does not understand this concept... so the employee Roy, allowed me to bring my child to the shop and he himself told him his rat was born and "were just waiting for it to be ready to go home with you". That was such a huge deal for me! And at that point my kiddo understood we needed to wait (and not that his mom was lying to him to get out of getting him his rat). Thank you so much, and we can't wait to meet our next 4-legged friend! (Maybe 2...)

This place has everything you need for your reptile pet. All the animals have an awesome clean habitat. You can tell the hard work and quality this place has. I would recommend it and also sign up for the points program they have.

Firsts time to new location. A bit smaller than their previous location on Lincoln Boulevard. Seemed like they knew their stuff. One guy was very helpful. Was going to special order some fish for me.

They helped us with our guppies and how to maintain safe water levels in the fish tank.
