The Doctor cost $325 to meet with me for 5 minutes twice. My overall visit for my dogs fractured toe with xray was over $600. In the visit he told me that my dog had a severe heart murmur and then told me that she needed to go to a specialist to have surgery on her foot. He gave me the name of two specialist that I am sure he gets a kickback from. Since I didn't want to have my dog die on the table over a toe, I sought out a second opinion. That office visit cost $65 for the visit. She put my dog in a splint and explained that it wasn't even an important toe. To make matters worse, Spring Animal Hospital, who noticed I didn't go to their specialist, called me today, 3 days later, to tell me that the dog could get a splint and I could come in and they would take care of it for me. They were willing to let my dog have surgery over a kickback!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. My dog, Bruno, had a tumor on his back. I went here to get him examined WITH A BIOPSY to see if it was cancerous. When I picked him up from surgery, they told me they threw away his tumor and “let something grow back to see” if it’s cancer. Well something grew back 3 months later and the vet told me “it’ll only benefit me to take out the tumor” when my dog CLEARLY has something else going on. The nurses here are also HORRIBLE. They won’t make eye contact with you, they have an attitude & everyone seems like they don’t want to be there. Which is fine, but don’t work in a field where people interaction is required.

For some reason their phone line always goes to voicemail and states it’s after hours when it’s well within the hours of their business. Overall they are a nice place and answers your questions .

I would give this place no stars if I was able to reason for this is because I brought my pet here to get a skin tag(that's what I was told it was by a different vet) in here bottom removed. Everything was find and they said to bring here back for a re-check up to make sure every was alright. After 2 days I notice hard spots under her stomach and a lump in her back I didn't think to much of it so I waited for appointment. I took her to her appointment and they said everything was ok her bumps should go away so I said ok & took her home. About a week after that I took her back because the bump was getting bigger and told them and all they said was the same thing they told me the first time. I paid 1400 dollars to get her skin tag from here bottom removed to have to deal with another problem and today I took her to see if they where able to tell me what was wrong with her and I don't even think the doctor seen her because they took her in the back and less than a min she was brought back out and I was told to take her to another hospital. To me that is very unprofessional and seems to me they don't care about the pets just the money I would save my pet and time and take your pets to professionals that care about there clients pets hope this helps people out

Horrible service, our dog has stopped eating, we made an appointment for Sunday morning, and because the primary doctor is out for two weeks, they cannot see our dog because the doctors filling in aren't really qualified to see her ! How do you run a business like this and have relief doctors who aren't qualified! Stay away from this place

Been coming here ever since I moved to Long Beach. They used to be ok, nothing exceptional. But the receptionist has gotten worse. I’ve called to ask about flea medication and have gotten rude answers over the phone, I let it slide. Today I took my dog for a check up, I had to ask to leave work for an hour to take care of this so I was running a bit behind. I get there and the parking is full, so I wait in the car until I see someone leaving. Once I go in I tell them I’m there for a checkup and she says they can’t take me cause I’m 7 mins over the grace period and they are behind. If you are behind it’s not like me being there at 2pm was going to matter. But anyways, the way the receptionist just said it was very rude, no worries I’m not gonna argue with you. You aren’t the only Vets in Long Beach, I can take my business elsewhere. I dont recommend this place to anyone, customer service starts as soon as you walk in the door and they don’t have any.

Reasonable prices, first concern as I own a number of pets. Great staff and vets. Parking is a bit of a problem. I'd check ahead or park across the street. Lead vet was a little dismissive but friendly and caring.

I have been taking my dog there for the past 6 years. Staff is always friendly. Today my dog had to have rectal polyp removal surgery. Doctor and staffy were very thorough and also sensitive to our dogs comfort needs.

This location is a great place to make an appointment. They got me scheduled in faster than the other locations. And didn't have to wait too long to be seen. The staff is helpful and kind to pets. Parking is a bit tight but so far that was the only down side that I've had issue with. Recommend this location to all pet parents

I had an emergency this morning with my Pomeranian who we love so deeply. My Pomeranian was choking, gasping for air, couldn’t breathe and began to close his eyes. I rushed to the nearest vet which was this location. We were panicking and worried about our dog and the front desk receptionist are extremely rude, inconsiderate and have no sympathy. When my dog was chocking gasping for air, she wanted to discuss the payment. I did not care to discuss a payment when my concern is my dog living. I told her that my dad was around the corner and we will discuss payment when he arrives and she said “We can’t do anything for your dog until payment is done” please hire people who actually love pets and care about them. These people are horrible. If you care about the health of your pet and want to leave them in good hands THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.

Not only does my dog love getting his nails trimmed here but I drive up from San Diego to go to this vet! How many people drive 100 miles to their vet? I do because I want the best for my boy.

This animal hospital is small but clean. I take my dog in because she had a skin rash of some kind and whatever shots they did give her actually worked it cleared up the rash take away the itch and now she's all happy and playful again.

We have been to Spring Animal Hospital for as long as we have lived in town (17 years). They have always taken great care of us and our animals. Dr. Choy is the best! He really cares!

Under new ownership for about 2 years. Everyone that we knew no longer works there. Made an appointment for my dogs updated vaccine, had to wait more than half an hour past appointment time. Doc was ok.

The staff were all very nice and friendly. Appointments are handled poorly. We made an appointment last week for 9am today. Arrived on time but were not seen until 1050...almost 2 hr wait. There were others there that were also waiting and frustrated. Some animals came in after our appointment times and were seen before us. Not nice since my puppy had no food or drink since the night before- per their instructions. No explanations for delay. Otherwise, this is a relatively inexpensive place for vet services.

Bad experience with my dog being fixed. Her incision opened up 7 months after her surgery. And then I had to pay for the dr visit amd the incision to be closed again. Will not be going back.

DO NOT go here. I sat around for 2 hours in the tiny lobby even though i had an appt. Then when I did get in, the doctor’s “exam” of my dog was about 12 seconds of running his hands over her body and saying, “we need to do an X-ray and blood tests.” Umm, you got that from literally 14 seconds of touching her face? Then the nurse brings me a bill for $700. The X-ray alone was $450. So I said no, just do the blood test. They ran it $267 dollars later and found that she had some infection and it cost me another $250 for that medication. So $500 and 3 days later, my dog is doing WORSE than before and now I have to take her to the ER. AND this place did not offer any payment plans, so I had to literally swipe my card before they’d even treat my dog. Maybe I’m old fashioned and come from the Midwest, but that just screams “We’re doing this for the money” to me. Never going back.

What's the point in scheduling an appointment... Scheduled appointment. Got to location on the day and time scheduled. Called to when to check in and nobody ever heard of me or my dog.. Then I was asked if I called the correct location lol.. Do t waste your time with this place, Take your pet to a professionally ran Vet...
