Amazing vet!! Unfortunately the demand is way too high here because the prices are too cheap! I've had to switch vets because these guys are always fully booked up. Can't speak poorly of anything but their lack of appointments. For your everyday "2-4-week-out" needs they're fine (follow ups, vaccinations, non-emergency surgery, etc.). However, good luck getting an appointment for an emergency. We had to wait 4 weeks for an emergency surgery appointment the first time. My poor doggo had to be on painkillers and anti-inflammatory meds during the waiting period. The second time we just found a new vet that we spend a little more on, but can get into right away.

One of the worst things to ever have to deal with and they made me feel like I was doing the right thing. They were so caring and it really helped me more than they could know. #Chaos

Long story short, I did not feel these vets were good at preventative care after seeing three different vets after them (I love all 3 of these new vets). These new vets I see make sure I have no questions before leaving the room, actually draw out on paper and explain any procedures to me in detail so I know what is going on, and give me every single option of treatment, the treatment’s risks and benefits, and what they personally recommend based off my dog’s age and personality. Based off of my own personal experiences, I don’t feel I received any of this at Southern Hills with either Dr. Moore or Dr. Blakesly. I feel much more comfortable and happy with my pet’s care now that I've switched vets. The staff is very friendly and so are the vets, I just not was happy with the care for my dog's specific illness. My current vets and I have discussed different approaches that could have saved my dog a lot of trouble.

I had taken our family pup, Cloud, in twice in a week recently due to emergency health issues and the staff were nothing but accommodating, even with me going in 45 mins early for a last minute appointment as I was stressing on a situation. With their direction and help, Cloud has been doing so much better and they didn't charge for the second visit as it was just a few days apart. Can't recommend this clinic enough because the staff tries their best and are incredibly invested in helping their patients.

Vet did a very good job... I was happy ...but tried to get her opinion on coco she was red at incision ... nobody called me back after couple attempts... I was stressed ... she's ok now healed very well.happy and playful bunny..

As a first time pet rabbit owner, Dr. Blakesley reviewed all my concerns and questions. She gave me many tips and an extremely reasonable quote for our two girls to get spayed. Our bunnies first check up and vaccinations went without a hitch. We are delighted to have found SHAH.

It was a long drive ...Didn't like the fact I couldn't meet the vet...My Rabbit was taken care of as far as we can tell...I had a ton of questions for the vet...Course Covid had a lot to do with this situation as well...I'll continue to go to this place cuz no one else had good ratings

This has got to be the worst pet hospital in Nevada. After being a loyal customer for years they refused to see my Lab during a medical emergency because they wanted to go home early. I was forced to scramble to find another hospital. In doing so my Lab almost died. It turned out she was bitten by a scorpion and had gone into shock. These people do not care about animals. Do not take your pet here. Find a place that cares about animals before something like this happens to you.

This animal hospital is amazing. I bring my dog and cat here. They know and love the staff and doctors. They always listen to my concerns and have the best interests at heart for my animals.

I have taken my dog there a few times and I had taken him in for an ear problem he was having and they gave us a cream to put on him and it didnt work because the problem came back. So I tried to make an appt early this year and due to COVID we had a really hard time getting in. Anyways I finally was able to get him in and they gave us the same cream so ok fine we tried it again and now its even worse so I called and the "Pet Doctor" gets on the phone and she is rude AF and she starts blaming us for all this and says she told us to return in 2 weeks which was a lie if that was true her reveptioknist would have made an appt with us but anyways these people are rude and incompetent. Oh did I forget to say that they had also told us our dog had his rabbies vac and that wasnt even tue. FYI please be careful with these people.

I really have to commend Dr. Blakesley for her dedication and good customer service. From answering questions from a new patient over the phone herself to responding to emails herself and to skillfully handling a complication during surgery so my little friend is still with us, being a provider myself, I am very appreciative when the doctor is involved. She truly cares about her furry patients and her practice. Prices are more than fair for the service received. And someone always answers the phone very quickly. I highly recommend Southern Hills Animal Hospital! My only regret is due to COVID, I didn't get to really meet anyone in person, but safety first!
