Being seen by Oncology since our sweet dog has lymphoma. On the 4th week of treatment and she seems to be improving. The reason I took off a star is their short staffing and lack of availability of Dr. Is causing unnecessary trips back & …

Our vet at Aloha Animal Hospital referred us to this place since my dog basically stopped walking her hind legs due to IVDD (Herniated disc). We went in yesterday to the ER. The intake process was painless and standard like most places. We …

I came in with out dog yesterday for emergency services. We received very timely, competent and compassionate care from our Veterinarian, Dr Orozco. Out dog couldn’t have received any better care elsewhere.

If I could give a zero, I would! I have a young cat that has some internal issues. The emergency vet in St. George did several tests, kept him in the hospital, and exhausted what they can do. They told me to bring him to the specialty clinic and/or ER clinic because he needs an internal specialist. I called the ER clinic first. They were really rude. They told me if I brought my cat there, it didn’t mean that I would be able to see an emergency vet because their “staff triages and determines whether your cat should see the vet”! That’s flipping crazy. I called the specialty clinic and was told that they are scheduling in March and I would just have to take my cat to Arizona or California if I needed help!! The emergency clinic also told me that bringing his there won’t get him to see an internist either. My cat is in distress. I’ve already spent $2,000 trying to save his life and if I can’t get him help, he’ll probably die. These people could care less! I’ll be passing the information onto the St. George emergency vet not to refer any more patients here. It obviously does no good if your pet needs emergency care and they are scheduling 3 months out or refusing to see your pet at all. I’ve never been so angry or disappointed in my life!!

I went here with my 12 yr old senior cat after being referred by our original vet to have a scope put his nose. Instead of doing the scope I was told to do blood work, abdominal cavity check, echocardiogram etc. I did everything they asked ( 1 thing at a time as budget will allow) nobody wants to listen to me and apparently nobody wants to follow the information sent over by both the regular vet clinics I've been too. Now I'm being told it's going to cost another $3500-4700. I already spent $900 on things I didn't need just to be told let's finally do what you were originally supposed to. I understand the need to rule things out but this is not ok. The $900 could have been used towards the things I was actually supposed to get done. For this I'd say it's unprofessional . We don't have another internal medicine specialist though in the city or state. I'm supposed to be moving to northern NV and all they did was say I can take my cat to California or Arizona for treatment. So unhelpful.

Tried to book an appointment here because it's the only pet cardiologist in town. Was told to send over my files and be put on a wait list. Tried to make an appointment after sending everything over and they want $100 just to hold an appointment (that's not guaranteed) that's months away. Quoted a simple EKG/ultrasound at almost a grand. Clearly out to scam every dollar out of your pocket. If you do decide to go here, make sure you get everything in writing. Doubt they honor the $100 deposit towards the appointment.

Dr Hunter and Nurse Morgan were truly wonderful with me & Peanut, she spoke “English” and explained the process with risks and benefits, all before knowing that I am an ER RN at the local Trauma Center who understands medical talk. She had all my questions answered prior to me asking them and presented with a peaceful confident vibe. I appreciated that the most. The surgery went well, Peanut is healing wonderfully… better than I expected. He is a mini English Bulldog that needed to breath better so his nares were opened up and some of his soft palate was cut back. Post surgery day 3 he acts like nothing has happened however this Mom is still following post surgical instructions. We’ll be back for the 2 week follow up soon and will have a nice TY surprise for Dr Hunter and Morgan❤️

We have had great care for both of our kids there! Our boy had lower back surgery and recovered amazingly! Our older girl has been seeing the optometrist dept and we've had the same great service!

I’m so genuinely sad about this place. I didn’t even get to the point of getting a consult. The secretary was so rude. So impatient. I just wanted to tell her, I’m sorry lady, I have a sick dog, and I have a few questions….I’m sorry that it annoys you. It’s the only place to take my pup in vegas for cancer treatment, and now I don’t know what to do. You rarely meet rude people who also care for pets, but this place…I guess there’s a first timer for everything. :(

Dr. Fitz and her team were amazing. Everyone, including the team upfront, were friendly and professional. We drove nearly four hours for our appointment and they were understanding of our situation. They took the time to make sure I understood everything, answering all of my questions with care and compassion. If you are in need of a neurologist for your fur baby, I highly recommend!

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS, THEY CONTRIBUTED TO OUR BELOVED DOGS DEATH! We brought our Malti-Poo, Annie to the hospital based on the recommendation of the emergency vet hospital in St. George. Annie was have difficulty breathing. When we arrived we had to stay in our car in 110 degree weather while they evaluated Annie. The only feedback we received while we waiting was an estimate of the $3000 bill for Annie's care. We were not allowed to speak with the doctor, only the technician. Annie was hospitalized in emergency and then taken to internal medicine the next day. We spoke with the doctor who did not give us a diagnosis, only guesses as to what was happening with Annie. We were told she was stable and we could pick her up. She had been there 2 nights. We were given some antibiotics and told to bring her back in a week for further xrays . Still no diagnosis. Within 12 hours Annie was in desperate need of assistance and we brought her to our normal vet. Annie ended up in the vet hospital every day thereafter. We very unfortunately had to euthanize Annie on Friday, less than a week after this vet hospital said she was stable. The worst vet hospital we have ever had to deal with.

I took my French bulldog to have facial surgery. Post operatively, my dog was vomiting for days and needed to be readmitted to their intensive care side. The surgeon Dr. Hunter didn't even call or go see my dog in the intensive care side (they share the facility) After several thousand dollars of additional tests they couldn't tell me why my dog who had facial surgery (to help him breath) had now developed vomiting. To this day he is not the same dog. He vomits evey time he eats multiple times and is now on a special diet. And the kicker his breathing is still horrible. In fact it is so bad when any vet examines him they recommend he have surgery to which I reply he already has had surgery. I would tell anyone who loves their pet to stay away from this place. They overcharge, overtest, and provide horrible care and followup. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

I don’t know why the other review said they don’t answer the phone, they always do they just might put you on a quick hold. I had to bring my dog in for a displaced disk in her neck, at first I was concerned because my appointment wasn’t gonna be for 6 weeks as that was the soonest they could get me in but I was on a cancellation list and got in after a week or so of my first call. The neurologist was great and got her in for surgery the following day after her appointment. She’s doing very well and is recovering quickly. I’m very happy with my experience and I think people tend to blame vets for things they aren’t even at fault for/lie to make themselves seem better.

They use to be amazing. So sad how they don't value animals, or maybe they need better or more staffing. Either way, they don't answer the phone, aren't available for simple questions or follow ups, and you have to wait 2 months for an appointment.

Well it has been 2 years and still a day does not go by that I don't miss my girl. I went in with her and never expected that I would be coming home without her. I would caution anyone considering using this facility to care for your furry loved ones and encourage you to find another facility to provide the care needed.

The treatment provided our dog by Dr. Vaughan & Dr. Mason has been outstanding - both of them explained everything very thoroughly, and demonstrated sincere compassion - we are very lucky to have the LVVSC facility to help our pets serious health issues - highly recommended!

Its typically never fun having to visit a center like this with a pup or pet that needs surgery, however Dr. Mason and his staff were extremely professional and exercised much appreciated bedside manner when discussing our options for surgery. He took additional time to fully educate us on the procedures we elected to take and gave us an honest and objective perspective so that we could make the appropriate decision for our pup. Thank you Dr. Mason, Morgan, and to all of the center staff for the responsive communication as we get out pup back up and walking again. She is doing great and we are very appreciative of the high quality service you all have provided.

If you bring your animal here make sure you get a blood test first. Our cat came in for surgery , was not given a blood test prior. Turns out he had kidney disease the surgery ended up making the situation speed up and today we had to put him down. I didn’t know before today that blood tests are typically done before surgeries nor was I asked/ told that he should get one by this hospital. His negative symptoms began immediately after surgery and when I brought them up I was told this was normal. Apparently not. Granted his fate would have been the same in the end there’s the possibility we could’ve caught it soon enough and avoided surgery so that our 2 year old cat would have been able to spend more times with us without suffering or indefinitely if it wasn’t chronic. I also suggest that the vets when speaking to clients who have 2 people in the car, make an actual attempt to make eye contact with/speak to both people. I was quite offended by this and felt invisible while clearly sitting right there. Our pets are our children and it’s quite rude to basically ignore one of the parents and focus your attention on the other... especially when it comes to huge things like surgery that have a huge effect on everyone involved His actual surgical scar healed fine and they took care of his surgery straight away , however, I’m disappointed in the lack of something that could have ultimately helped my cat and not caused him to suffer. I will not be returning here ever .

We took our Sophie girl here after her having 11 grand mal seizures and was so pleased with the way they were with her and us. We took a last minute cancellation appointment and didn’t even think to ask how much it would cost, and quite honestly it was comparable to a vet visit. The Dr explained everything to us after they looked at her and did some basic testing and not once did they pressure us to do anything. Not just that but they advised us to wait on the more expensive testing since the seizures were being controlled by meds and see how she was doing before moving forward. They could have said she needed the $3500-4000 testing and I would not have known better and figured out how to pay for it but they didn’t. They gave us a lot of information and encouraged us to wait before jumping to that unless we really wanted to do the test now. I’m very grateful for their help and follow up on our girl after we left.

First thing first. We had a good experience here. Our visit was with Dr Weinstein in Othalmology. Bonita was incredibly kind and caring and answered all my concerns that I had.Upon arrival a very Cheerful Rebecca made contact and let us know where to park and how to proceed. Bonita came out and took George my English Mastiff inside. Dr Weinstein called me and explained whats going with George and how the course of treatment was going to go. Very friendly and easy to talk to. I cant understand all the bad reviews this establishment gets. I was told the cost of the exam prior to visit and everything was as promised. Medicine was additional unknown cost but that how things go. They cant quote medicine costs without what it is you need right? I was aware of the bad reviews on here and am pleased I decided to ignore them and just find out for myself. All telephone calls were always professional and polite. Thank you Bonita for all the help and I look forward to seeing you again for George's follow up appointment.

About 4 years ago our golden had a tumor pop up on his foot. We took her to our regular vet for them to take a look. The vet took a biopsy and it came back as cancer. They offered to lop her leg off and send us on our way. We did our research and found las vegas veterinary specialists. We had a consultation with them and they were fairly certain that they could remove the tumor and enough of the cancerous parameters so that she could keep her leg. In fact they just removed a toe. Well after our surgery, our golden is now 4 years older and still has plenty of life left in her. We are grateful to las Las Vegas veterinary specialists for the extra time to us and our pup.

Dr Mason saved my little Yorkie's leg. She broke it back in May and despite two surgeries from our regular vet, her leg was taking a turn for the worse. Dr Mason did the surgery about 1 month ago and now she's using her leg perfectly fine and its healing so well. I thank Dr Mason and his team for all they did for our pup. I highly recommend this place.

Dr smee and staff i can't say enough other then the one person whom in the end said hurry up say what you need to say you get 20min So sad people have time to tell you that and how my time and questions were not worthy .very nice staff but anxiety was from never having a relationship with the dr and knowing my pet was seeing a specialist who knew how to take care and help my pet .never was one on one with her the facility hurt my pet more by misdiagnosis of how to feed her and over fed her and I spent 1,000000snds of dollars just for her to make my dog more sick and that she doesn't work one on one with her patients parents and they need to ask all their questions to the techs to get the answers to their questions so sad this place is the only speciality in Vegas so sad to know what kind of care critical care your dog needs you get poor quality help because her and her staff felt I called to often had to many questions and felt I anxiety was to much for them to deal with on a day to day basis .with the type of care my pet had their and the bills I received I would say people need to know what they are up against .Dr's and tech to busy to care and help your pet one on one thanks to this place I could never get the help she needed until she died pretty sad
