I’ve been going to Durango Animal hospital around 18+ years and I have never been disappointed. I’ve had my pets vaccinated, puppies my dogs have had vaccinated, cat declawed, one of my females had a C-section, sadly my daughters Ferret put down and when my dogs passed on they helped me with this service too. The people and Veterinarians are all professional and caring. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.

Dr. Preyer has been our family vet for years now. Our family trusts him and his team with the care of our dogs. From the front desk to the back office professionals and very caring for our dogs.

I love Durango Animal Hospital. I would not trust my baby to anyone else. They are compassionate and treat my pup as their own. It's not just one or 2 individuals..it is the entire staff. They are amazing.

In August we had an emergency with our 11 year old shepherd. Our normal vet would not see us, we called several other vets in the area, also too busy to assist us in this emergency. We even took her to the emergency hospital and after 30 minutes waiting for a gurney to get her from the car which had been running with the AC on (it was 115 outside) we left. We took our girl to Durango Animal Hospital and they saw us immediately. Both doctors were compassionate and kept us updated frequently. Unfortunately we lost our girl. We have a new German Shepherd pup and Durango Animal Hospital is now our go-to vet. She had her first visit recently and the service and all the staff were great. They are open all week, and because they do take in non-appointment emergencies, they may be behind. We were seen on time; however. We highly recommend Durango Animal Hospital.

It’s pointless to write up a long explanation about this one star review seems all the 1 star reviews cover it and the ones that say stuff about their incompetence they are ???? accurate! Their motto should be something like “if you don’t care if you pet lives or dies we are the vet your looking for!” They treated our rats little life like it was just a rat and will treat your pet like it’s just a whatever too. The staff can give to craps about peoples pets. You can clearly tell this is just a job for most the staff.. sadly that includes the actual vets.

Our dog had a nylabone stuck in the back of his mouth forcing his mouth wide open. We were unable to get the bone out ourselves and brought him in 5 minutes before closing time. The Vet and a few of the assistants stayed after closing to be sure that the bone was removed and that our dog was okay. They also didn't charge us as much as we knew they could have. I would highly recommend Durango Animal Hospital!

I have taken my dog Max here and trust the staff completely. The last visit on Nov.12 we have seen Dr. Caudle, he is knowledgeable, honest and gentle with my dog. They always see me on time and can take us in at the last minute. The vet techs and front desk staff are also very great and welcoming. We have never had an issue in them in the 5 years we have been coming here.

I used to love this place so much that didn’t care the 30 min drive with an English Bulldog with breathing issues in the middle of the summer in Vegas. But my last visit I had to wait 3 hours that’s insane, everyone in that place was concerned about her breathing except for the people who worked there, I know I didn’t have an appointment but was I never told I was going to be waiting for about 3-4 hours. I left without being seen and on my way home Bella almost died in the car because of the heat and the fact of being there without eating or drinking water due to her anxiety. What a horrible experience, they never cared about what happened to us I called them on my way home to scheduled an appointment and was placed on hold for about 10 min I think and when they answered I was in the middle of the freeway and Bella was barely breathing, I told them I can’t speak right now Bella is not breathing, they just hung up the phone and never follow up on her. I found another Vet closer to our home. Due to my horrible experience I can not recommend them ???????? if you live close and don’t mind the 3-4 hours wait Dr Caudle is awesome the best in that Animal Hospital

Dr Caudle took great care of Hunter during his dental procedure/mass removal. I was alittle worried about anesthesia due to my dog being older. Dr Caudle and staff were quick to respond to a respiratory issue that came up during surgery. My dog is doing well now. Thank you Dr Caudle & Durango Animal Hospital! Your patients appreciate you :)

They have Really good caring Doctor's here they give great advice and lots of needed information on your pet and what is currently happening with them they do A truly amazing job the only issue I honestly had was the wait time every time we've come it's been an extremely long wait time One of the vists I know they did have an emergency with another pet and that's fine but all the other times there was really no excuse for that extreme of a long of a wait time when I make an Appointment I expect to be seen on time not 2 hours later other than that there level of care was really good and that's what truly matters

First,Thank you to the veterinarians and staff. The compassion and knowledge of the staff is sincere and amazing, I felt very comfortable leaving our furr baby in the hands of Durango Hospital. during our travels cubby our 11 year old cat broke her tooth. It was like a noodle hanging there. we were seen and dental procedure was scheduled two days later. we left with medication and to prepare for dental procedure. cubby recovered within the same day, she was running around and very frisky after the medication wore off. poor cubby needed multiple teeth removed, blood work ,xrays, etc pretty much a lot. They explained cubby situation and price. pricing is fare and competitive. I'm comparing this to simular procedures in the past with other pets in the past. I highly recommend Durango, your loved ones are in great hands.

Doctors and room assistants are great! Only the front female receptionist, need to be more welcoming.

The didn’t diagnose the hypertension on my 16 years old cat so he got blind ! If they have had the basic and logical idea ( specially on a senior cat ) of checking his blood pressure on time he wouldn’t have lost his vision . And I even took him for a complete blood panel ! And a lot of times for fluids treatment . Could have been prevented with medication on time but not they are unprofessional! And wrote an email to the doctor and to the hospital and never heard back from them , of course nothing to say about it ! Just show how they don’t really care about the pets they are just clients .... Do yourself a favor a look for a good place for your cat

Have had a great experience with this vet office! I have a dog in which I rescued from a shelter! He was severely abused! Been a problem finding a vet that could handle him! They did everything I needed! Even a nail trim! Always available when I need to bring my boys in at last minute! Great office staff! Always on top of your needs!

I've been with DAH for about 15 years or so- since shortly after they opened. They've always treated my animals with compassion and offer alternative options, comprehensive explanations and answer any/all questions I have. Compared to a short stint at another VMA hospital, they're prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.... until recently. Now, you can't get an appointment for 2 months even if blood work or Rx refill is needed. Guess the pets just suffer or we seek another vet after all this time. :(

No consideration and not friendly When we go out of town, we always call this place to board our 2 dogs. Lately, this place has no problem making you wait 1-2 hours, of course with no apologies whatsoever, but when you are there exactly 1 minute late from your pick up time, they’ll charge you $ 50.00 / Fifty dollars. That’s what happened to us. On October 15, 2021 we dropped off our 2 dogs for boarding and scheduled to be picked up on October 17, 2021 at 4:00 PM. We tried our very best to get there before 4:00 PM, even called them that we will be there at 4 PM, the most 4:01 PM, they didn’t care and charge us $ 50.00. What kind of business does this. I’m pretty sure this employee or business never been late 1 minute in their life.

Very responsive and my buddy Odin has been treated with love and care from the doctors and nurses and staff. Shout out to Dr. Watry, definitely one of the best Vet here in las vegas. Thank you so much, Durango Animal Hospital! Keep up the great work and I hope the "can I put you on brief hold" will be gone next time I call again for an appointment for Odin. Just kidding.✌️???? I AM RECOMMENDING THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL ???? ????????

Dr. Preyer took care of me and my little Hulk! He was professional and the vet assistants that followed up with phone calls and were at the clinic were professional and nice! I definitely will be taking my dog to go back to see Dr. Preyer in the future.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The most insensitive place that only cares about making money. They do not care about your pets and just try to make money whenever and wherever they can . With countless unnecessary exams and tests , they even run tests without permission from the pet owner . This place rotates veterinary doctors in and out because nobody can stick around long enough. The receptionists also put you on ridiculous holds and when i had a pet emergency, i was told it is a $250 emergency visit because one of the doctors took off early that day and there was only one doctor left. I then tried to make the appointment and they told me they are actually full . This place is awful . Don’t let the good reviews fool you . Those doctors are not there any longer

This place waited over a month to tell me they couldn't accept my appointment request after I had to make it 6 weeks in advance. My dog could have been seen and treated by a different vet!

I came here because my primary vet, Town Center Animal Hospital, could not figure out what was wrong with my dog. They kept treating symptoms instead of trying to find the underlying cause. I came to Dr. Martinez for a second opinion and that was the best thing I ever did for my dog. I have never met a more compassionate, caring, and completely honest and upfront vet in my life. She immediately diagnosed the issue with my dog that day. While I was in the exam room waiting to be seen, one of the techs came in and mentioned how amazing she is and that she is personally her favorite vet. Her energy is warm and comforting, even when she is telling you bad news about your pet. She is the most genuine vet I’ve ever came across. My boyfriend and I can’t stop talking about how lucky we were to have found her. I’ve learned you can’t trust just anyone with your babies, I had to learn that the hard way with my experience from my old vet. But I trust Dr. Martinez with all my animals after seeing her work with my boy that ended up passing after she diagnosed a massive tumor that my old vet just brushed off as back problems. She was so diligent in finding the cause of my boys distress, it wasn’t just a job to her. You can tell this is her passion. She’s been a vet for a fraction of the time as the other vets I saw but she clearly outranks them all. She knows what she’s talking about, and she will do whatever it takes to help your animal. I’ve adopted her as our new life long vet. I will trust her for all my babies I have now, and future ones. Wherever her practice takes her I will follow, she’s that damn good.

BEWARE!!! THEY ARE OVERCHARGING AND RUNNING EXTRA TESTS WITHOUT PERMISSION WHEN YOU ARE ASKING WHAT KIND OF TEST , THEY CAN'T TELL YOU . IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYTHING IS ALL ABOUT MONEY TO THIS VET CLINIC.

We have taken our dogs to Durango Animal Hospital almost since we moved to Las Vegas in 2011. The doctors there are exceptional! Knowledgeable, skilled, kind, caring, We trust them explicitly w/our dogs. We also use there premier boarding services when we have to leave Lahaina & Dakota over any extended period of time. & our bonus there is their office manager, Keala!! She's loving & caring & has become like family to us.

This place is the worst place to take your pet to. They are insensitive, they only care about money. And if you want to wait obnoxiously long times for anything, then go here. No compassion at all!! If you love and want the best for your fur baby than this is not where you want to go.

We adopted a backyard bread pitbull with genetic health problems 6 years ago. They where honest and easy to work with the entire time. Their partner and after hours offices where the same. The dog meant the world to me and they all made her as comfortable as possible from start to finish. She passed with cancerous tumors but the care she received was as solid as it gets. Office was always spotless. Staff was always easy going. Wait times weren't ever bad.
