I have the world’s smartest dog. No, really — he’s super intelligent and is so focused on me, and he understands anything in English or Korean. He’s certainly not the bravest, perhaps not even the cutest, but he is the smartest. (Nope, not biased at all.) But he’s a rescue that we adopted six years ago and has an unknown history. He came with some strange issues ON his ears and hair on his back that was unusually short and sparse. But then it increasingly got worse, going to his tail and up to this head, and then kind of all around. He’s not bald anywhere but just not quite as fluffy as one would expect from a mix that looks like this. Well, I’ve been having every vet over the years look him over, and after many blood tests, thyroid panels, etc. I had zero answers. Finally, we were referred to Dr. Trimmer in January. I called immediately but couldn’t get an appointment until June! But I asked to be placed on a waiting list and two weeks ago, a spot opened up and we took it. The appointment itself was $170 or something. Wow. But more impressive is that by the time I was paying, the vet and her staff made the experience so pleasant and attentive that I didn’t even regret the $550 (!) we paid to confirm (via biopsy) the diagnosis she suspected. And that’s how you run a good business. Her staff has regularly checked in to see how Jack is doing and has explained everything every step of the way. We are just relieved to finally have answers and it’s treatable if I pamper him 3x more than I pamper myself, apparently. He’s already looking a lot better but every time he tries to bite out this one stitch, we’re hollering, “STOP IT! That’s a $550 stitch, Jack!” ???? Seriously, if your dog needs a veterinary dermatologist, we are lucky to have this place available here in Vegas. ????????

Best place to take your pet with allergies.

Just called to schedule an urgent appointment because my dogs vet is worried and cannot figure out why my dog is breaking out into full body bleeding sores and scabs. We have tried other treatment and he's miserable which was expressed to the receptionist as well as this being the vets idea for him to hurriedly go in. What was this places response? Oh they are booked til November so just have the vet call and describe it!! SERIOUSLY?!? how completely unprofessional and dismissive. Fine if this is the type of business they run then I don't want my dog being "treated" here anyways. Goodness. Could you imagine if these people were treating humans this way? I mean they seriously think telling someone they are booked til November is acceptable and okay? His skin is bleeding and scabbing! How can they think that's ok to let him suffer that long? The receptionist was a bit snobby in the sense of ha you can't get in til then. No thanks. I'll make the drive to a neighboring state and receive proper help from a professional pet dermatologist. STAY CLEAR! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING APPOINTMENTS AND MONEY NOT THE WELL BEING OF YOUR PET!!!!!

Dr Trimmer and her team are knowledgeable and caring. Dr Trimmer took her time with my pet and with me. It was clear during the first visit that Dr Trimmer had thoroughly read through my dog's full medical file, and was familiar with her history before we even spoke. Dr Trimmer also treated my older dog about 10 years ago, and showed the same loving care and detail orientation. I feel relief knowing that Dr Trimmer and her team are taking care of my good girl.

Awesome office. Super friendly staff. My regular vet charged me for 4 tests before telling me they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my dog. Dr. Trimmer took one look and knew immediately and got her started on a steroid regimen for her autoimmune disease. Wish I could use them for all my pets but they don't do teeth cleanings and such but I try to use them over my regular vet whenever I can.

This place has a monopoly on the dermatology market here in Vegas and in my opinion they treat their customers as such. If you have an alternative I’d use it. Super long lead times for appointments and the most unforgiving late policy I’ve ever heard of. We had to wait a month and one traffic jam later we were going to be more than 10 min late and that’s it folks. No more appointment, were now told we need to wait another month and by the way give us a credit card so we can charge you if you miss again. What a joke!! If you don’t get the just by reading this, go ahead and download the customer paperwork and read it. You’ll see first hand it’s all about them and their schedule. Dog comfort doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.

After 4 visits to other vets, Dr. Trimmer was finally able to diagnose what was going on with my dog, got him on the right meds and fixed him right up. Highly recommend!

Dr. Trimmer and her staff genuinely care about their patients. After 5 visits to our regular vet to diagnose our Chi-weenie we were left with a massive bill and no answers to her skin issues. Dr. Trimmer was not only able to diagnose, but began treatments on the first visit. I will continue to recommend this amazing office! Absolutely the best!

I am so happy to find a doctor that is helpful and willing to take the time to explain what is happening with my furry family member. It is also so great to find staff that go out of their way to make sure all your questions are answered and explained. Thank you Dr. Trimmer and staff.

Animal Allergy & Dermatology Specialist is such a great place! Our little baby got really sick out of nowhere and it turned out to be an autoimmune disorder that can randomly show up in healthy dogs around 5-6 years old. Thankfully our primary vet referred us to Dr. Trimmer and her staff who have been absolutely wonderful! The office is always busy but they're great at getting you checked in and helped right away with very little wait time. They also follow up to check on your pet shortly after the visit in addition to sending reminders for upcoming appts. Dr. Trimmer is so kind and knowledgeable and always takes time to checkout our baby and get updates and make sure the treatment plan is working. It's definitely a very personal experience and you can feel how much they all love what they do. I'd recommend this place to anyone whose pet has any issues with allergies and or dermatology.

Dr. Ann Trimmer is amazing!

This place does good work but lets face it, they’re the only game in town for this and trust me, they know it. So they’re going to get your money. We were referred by our vet to get allergy tests done, but we couldn’t simply get the tests our vet recommended, we had to pay for an expensive consultation visit, which took over a month to get; just for their vet to tell us we needed the same tests that our previous vet told us we needed. So they charged us over a hundred dollars to tell us what we already knew. On top of that, they have clauses in their paperwork that say if you don’t finish your paperwork before your appointment time. You lose your spot and have to reschedule (which I’ll remind you they are booked for months in advance). They also have a clause that says if you are more than ten minutes late you have to lose your spot and reschedule. We showed up an hour early to make sure none of this happened, and then we didn’t even get seen by the vet until thirty minutes after our original appointment time. They make it very clear that their time matters, but yours doesn’t, only your money. They know they are the only allergy dermatologist specialists in town, and that means they can do or charge whatever they want.
