When I compare this vet to the one I was going to before, I see major positive differences, like their professionalism and actual care for your pet and not your money. Love them.

Too many cooks in the kitchen. Messages passed from doctor to assistant to you and then then the conversation of the phone begins again. Your dogs leave the same way they went in. SICK. After another 2 weeks and your dog with a mass on her lung ang going Down hill, it was time to give her some dignity and say goodbye. It was during this phone call to Lakewood if the preformed the euthanasia service. The said yes. Faxed me over a copy to my email. I was perplexed because these numbers we giving to me by home care Vets who would come to my house. Granted she was still 70 lbs. It was during this call I asked about my other dog. He was still coughing And eating only what he felt like. The assistant check his report, and told me he had an enlarged heart. The first time I'm hearing of it. Yes my fellow pet lover's I hope they can treat you and yours with a lot more consideration than I got. But by God's Loving Nature He led me in the direction of a new vetrenarien. Animal Care Clinic, on Rosecrans, in Bellflower.

My dogs have been seen by Dr ally and Dr Sarah, who are both great. However, the service here is extremely slow. It takes up to an hour for a vet tech to come out and bring my dogs in and up to another hour to bring them out when I come to pick them up.. pretty ridiculous especially when they call and tell me my dogs are ready and ask me how long I will be to get there. I recently scheduled a teeth cleaning for my 20 pound dog and no one called to give me an estimate so upon arriving, they wanted to take a deposit of $700 and said that the total price would be $2,400+. OUTRAGEOUS!!! Ive paid around $400-500 elsewhere for my dog's cleaning and that includes anesthesia, boarding, and medication. I am baffled by how much they wanted to charge and am disappointed that no one called to give us an estimate and a breakdown of the costs. Also am surprised that they even charge for follow up visits

I know people complain that costs are high here,, but I've been to less expensive places and always returned due to the quality of care I receive. The vets I've seen have taken the time to really explain things and my dogs do not mind going to their office.

I have been coming here for years, Dr Naef was amazing, since her departure i have been hesitant to bring any of my rescue dogs here as the other vets have shown limited compassion and care for the dogs with disabilities presented to them. Their immediate answer to one case was euthanasia, that was 5 -6 months ago and that dog is alive and thriving. Today I gave them another chance as I needed last minute vaccines. We had an appointment at 10 am, called multiple times to get checked in. Didn’t get someone until 10:06 am. A simple exam and vaccines, no issues to discuss, has taken them over an hour. Also was pressured into a rabies vaccine, basically if I didn’t agree to rabies they can not do the others I need. Maybe they need to rethink their system and overall approach. Nail trims, vaccinations, and all other miscellaneous visits, should not take this long.

I called them first thing in the morning. My doggo was very sick very suddenly. They took me in on zero notice. I dealt with Ms. Stephanie and Dr. Sarah. They were so very kind and wonderful to me and so very loving to my Valk. Unfortunately my doggo was too sick. I had to say goodbye to my girl. I'm a disabled Veteran and she was my doggo. Ms. Stephanie and Dr. Sarah were so incredibly kind and caring. They stayed there and let me tell them about my girl. Thank you so very much Ms. Stephanie and Dr. Sarah.

I have more than one dog. They go here even though this vet is more on the pricey side. They often attempt upsells as well, so be prepared to think through what they are suggesting. Despite this, I used to go there because the vets in general are kind to the animals and my dogs like them. They have just lost my business. One of them had an emergency. Apparently, this vet, despite all the signs in reception, isn't an emergency vet and they aren't interested in helping or working with you with this type of situation. It's bad enough to deal with a sick animal but to have someone tell you too bad on top of that? No thanks. Take your business elsewhere if you want your pet looked after because this isn't worth it.

My cat was having constipation issues and my regular vet was unable to see him. So I called Lakewood Pet Vet and they were able to see him right away. From the appointment set up to the pick up they have been nothing but wonderful! Dr Sarah is so informative and super nice!! I will definitely be back!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET THERE, Doctors there are new they do not know what they’re doing I took my anemic dog there and they took out a bunch of blood and fluid and the next day he died pre-surgery, Also when I was on my way to pick him up they all of a sudden found more liquid in his chest and added another $400 to the bill that totaled $1200!!!????????????

My puppy was lethargic, vomiting and diarrhea. They tested him for parvo and came back negative. We decided to reschedule for the next day because it was a 10 hour wait. We get called that the doctor needs to check our puppy after the parvo test. Not only did we get charged $147 for the parvo test, $107 exam and wanted us to give $900 deposit to admit him. Since we decided not to admit we weren’t given medicine for his hypoglycemia or any other advice. What kind of facility just asks you for money? Not a clear description of treatment or any other solution? I ask the unprofessional receptionist who called me what else can we do and she said nothing admit him. DO BETTER!!!!

The people working here need to be better informative and stop just adding things to your bill that you and your pet don't need. This place will take full advantage of you.

I went to get a referral for a specialist, my puppy has cherry eye. He needs surgery, Lakewood Vet wanted to charge me for the same test, as the place there refering me too, i was under the impression that they did the surgery in house. They dont. I called the referral, they confirmed yes they will run the same tests, so i said than why didnt i go straight to you guys, they said , i didn't need a referral and should of went straight to them, for consultation and surgery they do in house. So, Lakewood Vet charged me for the office visit, to do nothing but to refer me to a specialist, that didnt need a referral to begin with. And i told them not to run any tests, since the place they reffered me to, will be running the same tests. Super Shady.

I have struggled finding a vet once I moved back to California. I have gone through at least 5 different vets and I finally decided to try this one. I absolutely LOVE the staff and doctors. They truly care about your pets and I felt really comfortable with my dog being with them without me. I will always go to this vet from here on out.

This facility is just the best; AMAZING medical care and customer service; very friendly and caring staff. We recently move to Lakewood area and my dog got sick no other vet office wanted to take him even “emergency “ hospitals near by stated that they didn’t accept walk-in @ that moment. Lakewood Pet Vet staff were able to accommodate a walk-in visit. I saw a huge improvement on my baby/dog’s health within a couple hours after the office visit and by the next day my dog was like he was never sick. I have no words to express how grateful I am with them for saving my baby/dog’s life. Prices are reasonably and I had to pay a small walk-in visit fee but it worth every single penny. This will be my baby/dog’s primary facility for now on.

Love Love Love Lakewood Pet Vet. The front office staff is the best in the business. They are always there to answer questions and are very responsive to my pet's needs. In this atmosphere of uncertainty, I still feel my dog is getting the best care. The Vet will exam my dog and take the time to call, discuss any findings and offer follow-up care. I am so grateful that this Vet's office is only two blocks from my house. It makes it convenient for any emergencies. Thank you for your professionalism and continued great care of my dog, Sunny.

I have been a customer of Lakewood Pet Vet for a long time. The team that works there are Amazing. They care for my babies if they were their own. Especially when I had to make the horrible decision to put my Kaos to sleep. Dr. D came in and just gave him so much love. Later they sent me a card with his paw print on it. Just made me love them even more. I will never take my pets anywhere else.

Hands down one of the best Vets I've ever been to! And also my new permanent Vet! The number one thing that I loved about this vet is that they go by appointment and the time that your appointment is, is the time that they see you which is amazing. The staff was lovely, the vet Jen was great , She answered all my questions I had very informative. I had took in my sphynx cat to get spay, before that she got vaccinations and blood work done and the price wasn't crazy expensive.

I’ve been taking my bulldogs to Lakewood Pet vet for about 2 years. Dr Neif is their regular doctor and we love her. She takes her time and really listens. She is very grounded and takes a common sense approach to her treatment recommendations. We’ve also seen other doctors at Pet Vet and they have all been great. The technicians and folks that work the front desk are caring and attentive and are genuine. I feel taken care of at Lakewood Pet Vet and I know my girls are in good hands. I’ve been to other larger vet offices and I find them to be a stressful environment and end up waiting hours even with an appointment and the bills are usually much higher than Pet Vet. But Pet Vet is a very calm experience for my my girls and there is never a wait when I arrive for my appointment.

I needed a place to take my dog who was throwing up. Our vet was busy. Lakewood Pet Vet got my dog in very quickly after I called them. Lauren was AWESOME!!! So friendly and on point with her customer service. I greatly appreciate their help and making sure my dog was well taken care of.
