Do not bring your pet here as they don't care about sick pets and have very little compassion towards them. My puppy was very ill, not eating and was not doing well at all when I arrived for my appointment. They declined seeing her and told me I need to take her elsewhere because they said I was a few minutes late to my appointment and it messes up the doctor's schedule. Well, if I was checked in upon arrival then perhaps there wouldn't be an issue. Instead of checking in my sick puppy when I arrived at the facility, the receptionist was too busy small talking with other clients and taking pictures of their pet's Halloween costume. Omg, this place is so unprofessional and uncaring of sick animals! I ended taking my sick puppy to another vet who was more concerned about her well being. Thank goodness there are other caring pet hospitals out there!

VCA Arroyo Animal Hospital (Dr. Ota) is the best. I have total peace of mind with my dog’s health and well being under their care.

I have been a client at VCA for about a year now. I can definitely say they can be on the pricey side compared to other other vets I've researched. However, as tight as money is being a single mom and all, I absolutely cannot let this place go! I feel so blessed to have found a place that I genuinely trust with my dogs. There hasn't been a single employee I've met and haven't liked. Both staff and doctors are absolutely wonderful. So caring, kind, understanding, helpful, the list goes on. One of my dogs suffers from severe anxiety. The past few days have been unbearable. I'm pretty sure I drove the staff crazy calling so much lol. But once again, they came through for me and my dog, Jayde. Which is why I'm writing this. I recommend them to everyone I know with a pet. You won't regret it! Thank you to all the staff there! I'm so grateful to have my dogs looked after by all of you! ❤

The staff and doctors are personable and skilled with the animals. I wouldn't trust Lucy & Ethel to just anyone????

Very good vet for our pups! They have always shown to be very thorough and caring! Great for checkups and vaccines. Also had a surgery for one of our dogs here after a dog fight and they saved her and did a fantastic job patching her up!

No matter what you do it'll be a minimum of $500. EDIT: Look Cheryl, I'm not saying you don't offer a variety of services. I'm just saying every time you offer your variety of services via your ala carte menu it's $500 bucks. This isn't a fault of VCA it's just a fault of all vet clinics. Vet care is a very profitable business, I get why you would want to discredit the review.

We've been loyal patrons for nearly 20 years and there service are above average on the pet care side however it seems like the turnover is high, as we always see new faces. The dog boarding side was a horrible experience. Our dogs stayed a few days and they both came home with bite marks on their faces from other dogs even though we paid extra for our dogs to be in their own space! But the thing that really was the straw, and as far as were concerned inexcusable, is during this horrible COVID-19 nightmare/pandemic we needed to take one of our dogs in because of an apparent sprained leg and they would not budge on the high prices one dollar! All during a time where so many are out of work and struggling financially, VCR is only out for the profit. Absolutely no changes in their pricing structure, no discounts for seniors and or long term patrons. Our bill ended up being: $ 300 + for an x-ray, $ 79 for an exam $ 100 + for medication “pay in full”. Nearly $ 500 for a light sprain! It’s price gouging at its finest. Needless to say, VCA has shown their true colors. Moving forward we will be changing to a VET who cares about our pets AND our pocket book. Shame on you VCA ????

Just started taking our furbabies here and they are wonderful. Their level of care is top notch and their attention to detail is optimum. We have not left unhappy with the care of our 6 year old blue nose pit troy or our 11 week old dalmatian puppy lover boy.

They were amazing to my baby, Luke Low-Key. Just as important to me as choosing a pediatrician was.

Always a friendly staff that loves your pet like their own. They make sure to follow up and check in on your pet. Also, with the current COVID conditions, they provide a very safe procedure to ensure you are safe and their staff is safe to continue to care for your pet.

My 14 year old dog was recently in for a dental cleaning. His health hasn't been the greatest lately and I could tell his mouth was really bothering him. Come to find out he needed 14 teeth pulled! On top of that, the hospital had to be evacuated that day because of the fires in Irvine. This could have been a very stressful and upsetting day, but Dr. Malecek and the hospital manager Cheryl were both wonderful. The communication was great, everything was explained to me and they BOTH stayed with my dog at the hospital until I arrived to get him (the smoke was literally down the street!). In addition, the check in process was fast and easy, the technician was patient and friendly when coming to get my dog, and the protocols put in place for COVID were appreciated. A few days after his procedure, I feel like I have a new dog. We are both very happy. THANK YOU!!!

My dog cut himself open and we called to see if they would help us around 7:20pm, but they turned us away since they close at 8:00pm.

This place is kinda dirty! There are like 10s of hair clusters floating around! Like it hasn't been clean for a whole day!???? BUT I should say that they have good doctors.... even though the technician/nurse messed up my dog medication labels wrong twice!

These are by far the best doctors and vet tech I have ever encountered. They truly care about your furry companions. I would give them more stars if it were an option. I used to be closer to them now I live over 30 miles away and I still use them for my little pups. They are that good.

We brought our cat here with kidney stones and they could not help us because they were closing. If not for our vet who was a close friend (lived in corona far from us), then like he mentioned, our cat would’ve died. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend.

They don't try to upsell you and they're genuinely concerned about your pet. We take our cats and our puppy there and have always been impressed.

The staff here really cares about the pets. My dog LOVES going here and loves everybody who works there. I would trust them to take care of my baby anyday.

I love them! They helped me through putting my dog to sleep. The only pet I've actually done that with, to checking on my new puppy and getting her shots. They are wonderful to deal with. Unfortunately, I just can't afford to take my doggie there. The pet policy sounds like a GREAT one! If you have the money, I definatly would recommend!

Good vets. My dog pulled her back and they gave her pain and anti inflammatory meds. No crazy, unnecessary, expensive tests. Just watched my dogs reactions during the exam and gave her what she needed.
