Monarch Veterinary Hospital Laguna Niguel, California

We are fairly new to Monarch Veterinary Hospital. When we decided to switch vets, I went searching online for one nearby that was very highly rated. Monarch had so many positive reviews on Yelp and Google - and they are deserving of them. The office staff is amazing and it was easy to schedule our first appointment. We met with Dr. Alcala who was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Most recently, we had to make the very sad and difficult decision to put one of our dogs down. Anyone who has been through that knows how crushing it is. Dr. Craft and the whole office helped us through this painful experience. They were especially supportive and empathetic which meant so much to us. I am glad we found this amazing animal hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Craft and his dedicated team.

Only place I trust for my veterinary care. Dr. Craft is the best; he takes care of all three of my kitty cats. Reasonable prices, great care and customer service.

With 4 dogs we have had alot of experience with Monarch. We have always been treated great, never up-charged, or tried to have something sold to us we did not want. Doctors Kraft and Alcala have been great, the staff is always warm and friendly. We have 2 senior dogs 1 with a heart issue, Dr. Alcala spotted what our dog needed immediately about 2 years ago. He has been going strong ever since. Monarch is our vet as long as we own pets. Thanks to all the staff!

I needed a vet because my 9-year-old cat was sick. I went to Monarch Veterinary Hospital on January 18th. The owner and vet who treated my cat was Dr. Glenn Craft. I had no interest in getting to know Dr. Craft socially or personally. However, Dr. Craft took the majority of the appointment time to . . . 1. Show me photos of his wife. He explained she had thyroid issues and had to have her thyroid removed. She's managing her health situation. 2. Tell me about his son. His son's golf game is better than Dr. Craft's. He has hired a golf coach for his son and the coach is from Hawaii. It's best that Dr. Craft lets the coach work with his son because Dr. Craft said he has an intense personality and doesn't want to push his son too hard. Dr. Craft thinks his son could be a very good golfer if he wants to be. 3. He told me more about his son. His son was in a modeling shoot when he was younger. He showed me a brochure with his son's picture and explained the product it promoted and how its still being used. 4. He showed me a video of his pet bird. 5. He showed me photos of his pet squirrel and dog. 6. He told me about a walk down by the Montage including directions, parking, and advised packing a lunch 7. He told me about a nine hole golf course. He shared that he likes the restaurant there and described the views 8. He told me that he oversees a golf tournament for his church once a year All of this personal information was UNSOLICITED. I was concerned about my sick cat, who had very aggressive CANCER. My cat died two weeks later. I communicated with Dr. Craft and requested Monarch refund the charges related to my January 28th visit. They did. Please see a similar experience in a Yelp review dated 9/6/2018

I've had multiple animals going here for over seventeen years and counting. Not only are the doctors great but the vet technicians are really great.

The best experience with an amazing vet!!! Dr. Glenn Craft and his staff are amazing. Today they were so amazing to my dog Allie. The care from Dr. Craft is amazing . Brought my rescue in for a quick check-up due to itching and a sore. Dr. Baumann provided some very good insight into the siruation as well as some current and preventative diagnoses. Was very pleased to have our newest family member seen impromptu at 5:00 PM on a busy Friday.

We have been long time clients (over 20 years) of Monarch Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Craft. We have always been comfortable with the services they have provided and the outcomes. We also have appreciated the professionalism and compassion of all of the staff.

I have had a very positive experience with Dr. Baumann and the staff at Monarch Vet. I moved to Orange County with an elderly cat, and all the staff were always gentle and loving with her. Dr. Baumann and vet technician Karen were so kind when we had to put her down, and Dr. Baumann was incredibly helpful when I needed help making that decision. I also really appreciate how flexible they were with day-of appointments when my cat was sick, and they always called back as soon as possible to discuss lab results or when I had questions. If Dr. Baumann wasn't in, Dr. Craft or another one of the vets would call.

My husband and I utilized Monarch Vets for 13 years until we moved to Portland Oregon in October. We considered Monarch Veterinary Clinic the "PPO" of the dog world. Monarch gave Rug incredible personal service and they had such a caring demeanor. We may never find another vet who can measure up to Dr. Craft, Noah and the staff. Monarch really took the time to get to know Rug from the time she a puppy up to old age. Monarchs had better medical records on Rug than me and my husband's primary care physicians. I am so thankful that we found Monarch

Drs. Craft and Alcala are wonderful! And the staff is great also which is really important. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else! And I'm very picky!

Dr. Craft is the kindest and most compassionate vet that I have ever come across. I have a chow that is afraid of her own shadow (rescue dog). Dr. Craft sits on the floor of the examination room with Shasta and talks to her in a low voice. Shasta does not do well with strangers but she "allows" Dr. Craft to examine her and she never flinches. The staff is very professional, kind and absolutely wonderful with fur kids. I can't imagine entrusting Shasta's care to anyone else.

We have tried some other vets but when a friend referred us to Dr Craft and Monarch we decided to give this practice a try. Everyone there is caring, friendly & competent. And Dr Craft is fantastic. He is such an able vet. Clearly loves animals and treats them with such affection. He is also very open about telling you various things you can do at home to improve your pet's health and general well being. Even though the office is a bit of a drive it's worth it. Highly recommended.

I have been with Dr. Craft and his staff for at least 14 years. They are wonderful! They go over and above to take good care of my pets. They hug and kiss and treat your pet with love and respect. I had a dog that developed diabetes and they were able to diagnose her quickly and get her on the correct level of insulin. I didn't think I could do the shots but they patiently helped me to learn. She lived many more happy years and I swear they brought her back a few times when she was starting to fail from old age. I advise all my friends and family to go there and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr Craft is a great vet and he and the whole staff are very special people. When I first went to Monarch, the first thing I noticed was the number of old, healthy pets coming in and out of the office. That is a great testimony!

I've been taking my cats (of which now there are seven!) to Dr. Craft and his staff for over 11 years now. He and his staff are very compassionate and caring, and always take the time to listen to the problems you may be experiencing with your fur baby! They treat their clients (both human and four legged) as part of their family...., for example, one Sunday morning I had an emergency with one of my cats, and Dr. Craft agreed to meet me at his hospital to take a quick look at my kitty (provided he could get to church on time!) I would recommend Monarch Veterinary Hospital to anyone that has a beloved four-legged friend!

My beloved pets have been with Dr. Craft and his amazing staff since 2003, and the experience has been excellent. My dog and 2 cats have had multiple health issues and they have taken such wonderful care of them all. I believe I have the only dog who actually wagged her tail and was happy to see everyone at Monarch whenever I brought her in. Sadly she passed away last year, and Dr. Craft and staff treated her with the dignity she deserved in her final days, and the much needed support to my grieving family. The care and compassion is unmatched, and I would recommend Monarch Verterinary Hospital to everyone.

I recommend Monarch Veterinary to all of my clients. Dr. Craft is so loving and knowledgeable. He took care of my golden retriever for years as well as my mother's cats. His technicians are wonderful as well, very professional and caring. In my opinion, there is only one veterinarian to go to and that is Dr. Craft.

Back in late 2008, a friend recommended Monarch to me. I had recently adopted two cats and wanted to get them set up with a vet. I have been with Monarch ever since, and I now have five cats, all patients of Dr. Craft. I have been very pleased with the care that my "kitties" have received. Dr. Craft and the entire staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They always take the time to fully explain to me whatever they are doing, and to "love on" the patient. In addition, the facility is always spotless and the charges are very reasonable. I highly recommend Monarch. I think you will be very pleased.

Dr Craft and his team of caring assistants have taken care of our animals for over 11 years. Dr Craft is compassionate and the best diagnostician I have ever come across in a Vet and I have had many since animals have been in our lives for over 50 years. We trust Dr and his team and know our "children" are in the best hands. You don't find that everywhere.

My cat had loose stools for 5 months. I took him to 3 other vets in the area and they weren't able to help my kitten. Then, a woman at the pet store recommended Dr Craft, at Monarch Vet. He was finally able to help my kitten, who had his first formed stools the day after I took him there. I ended up taking my other cat there too because she was loosing all her hair. He was able to control her itching and gave me a really good flea medication. She is not itching or over grooming anymore. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Prices are very reasonable!!! I highly recommend Monarch Vet. Dr Craft is the best vet ever!!
