Always a great experience when taking my dog to visit Dr. Gordon. He is super gentle and thorough when doing the examination and will take the time to discuss in detail about all the options we have. All the staff working there are friendly as well! If I can give a ten star review I will!

Dr Gordon and Arch Beach Veterinary are phenomenal! My cat traditionally is terrified of the vet and other vets have had to sedate her to examine her. She loved Dr. Gordon and his staff. She was very comfortable and was even grooming her self during the visit. He was able to look at her past workups and come up with a reasonable treatment plan including acupuncture and homeopathics which was wonderful! I would highly recommend taking your fur babies to Dr. Gordon!

Dr. Gordon and his excellent staff at Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic were a treat to meet. Everyone there was just wonderful, very kind, and treated our pets, and us very compassionately. We especially appreciate how he and his team treated our pets like they're family - and did it without question - we don't take that for granted. They are our family, and sadly we have lived in places over the years where that isn't always understood or accepted. Dr. Gordon was thorough in searching for answers regarding what's going on with our dog, Truman, as well as the time he took to treat him with Acupuncture and Laser Therapy during the same visit - we are so grateful. It's tough finding a Veterinarian that 1) believes pets are part of the family, 2) doesn't break the bank by limiting what can be done during an appointment so you must come back... often, and 3) sincerely cares about the pets themselves, is really tough. Dr. Gordon and his staff are that awesome find!

I have had five or six dogs in my life. I currently have two 14 and 1/2 year old havanese. I met Dr Gordon over a year ago trying to go more holistic route for their senior years/needs, etc. Dr Gordon laid his eyes on my one dog Gracie, and knew she was in trouble. His quick action, and diagnosis of congenital heart failure, has enabled me to have her still with me today, 14 months later. My second pup, Tino, was then diagnosed with a chest tumor, which was so super scary for the age, the prognosis and major decisions with doing surgery or not. Through both of these very trying diagnosis Dr Gordon and his staff never hesitated to respond and help ease my distress, give me options, and communicate with me when I needed to know more, etc. I have been faced with many extremely hard times with regards to their health over the last year. And I have not had one disappointing situation. Poor Dr Gordon, lol, I don't do anything without him anymore! Truly one of the most compassionate, caring, communicative and fast reacting vets / vet office I've ever been privileged to know. Thank you Dr Gordon and you're amazing staff. See you on Tuesday! Thank you for being here for Gracie, Tino and me!

We got our baby back! Dr. Gordon and staff saved our dog's life after 5-months of being misdiagnosed with kidney disease and arthritis. Our 8-yr old Wheaten terrier, Murphy stopped eating and lost 4-pounds in the month prior to seeing Dr. Gordon, he also had been experiencing muscle twitching, balance issues, shaky back legs, lack of energy and would struggle to get up from lying down for several months. I honestly thought Murphy was a goner, then I was referred to Dr. Gordon. At our first appt with Dr. Gordon, he ran labs and discovered he had an unusually high calcium level, which led to further testing that indicated a parathyroid tumor. Fortunately, it was benign but needed to be surgically removed or it would eventually kill all his organs and be very painful. When Dr. Gordon explained most all his symptoms would go away soon after surgery, I didn't want to get my hopes up. I thought, okay we'll save his life, but he'll never be the same again, the damage to his muscles, bones, and kidneys had already been done. Upon pre-op the day of the surgery, Dr. Gordon called to let us know the calcium had also affected Murphy's heart and there's a chance he could go into cardiac arrest while under anesthesia, but we had no choice he needed the surgery. We waited in fear, praying he'd make it through surgery. A few hours later we got the call that he made it and did fine, but the next few days would be critical, and we'd have to monitor his calcium level each day (which would switch to very low upon removing the tumor until his remaining parathyroids kicked in to regulate). We brought Murphy in to get tested every morning. It took longer than normal (2 weeks as opposed to 3 days) for his calcium to return to normal since he had gone undiagnosed for so long, plus we had to leave him all day twice to be put on IV calcium it was so low (which can cause seizures, etc.). Who knew calcium affected dogs so drastically! Dr. Gordon checked in on Murphy every single night, after hours and always responded to our questions right away no matter what time of day or on weekends (he must not sleep much). It's very evident Dr. Gordon TRULY CARES for his furry patients, such AN AMAZING VET and kind man! A month later, Murphy is completely back to normal. No more muscle twitches, shaky legs, his kidney function is back towards normal, his inflamed gums & horrible bad breath even went away; he has energy again, he sleeps comfortably on his back again, and his appetite is back! It's like it all never happened - our dream come true! Our new neighbors (who hadn't seen Murphy before all his symptoms) saw him walking at the park and were amazed what a difference they saw. I think they all thought I was the crazy lady always complaining there's something wrong with my dog, but they didn't see it or understand...until they saw him recovered, then they got it! I am forever grateful for Dr. Gordon and his staff (esp Maria, who Murphy loves) for getting our baby back!

I couldn't be happier to have found Arch Beach Vet, Dr. Gordon and the whole team. Starting from my first phone call to the visit, everyone couldn't have been nicer. Even my dog wasn't shaking like he does at my old vet's office. Dr. Gordon sat down and listened to my questions and concerns and didn't rush me which is invaluable. Most vets do an exam and rush out. The quick communication regarding test results was also very impressive and appreciated. The pricing is very fair as well. While it's never great having your pet go to the vet, it's great to have a place you feel totally comfortable visiting and is trustworthy.

With 5 stars reviews across the board I wish we could give more stars than 5 Dr. Gordon and his team at Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic deserve them. Being an animal lover I have delt with vets since I was a child. I've never met one so compassionate, honest, professional and heartfelt as Dr. Gordon. We are a younger family with 3 little kids. Our family dog of 11 years needed a tumor removal surgery that was extremely HIGH RISK and was to be quite honest way out of our budget. We were seeking alternate treatment to help her. This is when I stumbled upon Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic. So I immediately gave them a call I recall speaking with Hedi the customer services was outstanding. If your not local they offer virtual appointments. She helped me get in contact with Dr. Gordon via email he responded quickly and took time to work with us and really talk to us and understand us and most of all our pets needs. I must have spoken close to 100 vets from here to Texas many of which didn't want to take this HIGH RISK procedure on. So I was very concerned with even the thought of attempting it. After many discussions with Dr. Gordon we decided it was our only option. So she went into have her mass removed with a low chance of a good outcome but we felt so comfortable with Dr. Gordon and had such high hopes for her. She survived this high risk surgery and is doing great we have been so blessed by this clinic and Dr. Gordon. We live about 3 hours away and will travel to see them without hesitation. Please don't just take my word go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Thank you again to Dr. Gordon and his team we can't thank you enough!!!!

As a pet owner for many years, we encountered our fair share of veterinarians but Dr. Gordon is hands-down the most caring, professional, experienced vet we ever had. The way he interacts with our elderly dogs and the care he provides is second to none. He listens and takes his time to answer questions and you don't feel rushed or intimidated. The entire team is very friendly and caring. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dr. Gordon and his entire staff are 100% professional, reliable, honest, and safe. I cannot say enough good things about this entire practice and how well their customer service and animal care is. They go above and beyond to give the best care possible to both the animals and owners. Our dog was born there via c-section, and they've cared for her since birth. Arch Beach Veterinary is awesome at all veterinary care and we wouldn't take our little girl anywhere else! Thank you to the entire staff that keeps this place amazing.

I am so glad I decided to look for a new veterinarian & found Dr. Gordon, he has been incredibly helpful & very responsive. He emailed me Saturday & Sunday before 7:00 a.m with my dog's lab results & has been very responsive to all my concerns & questions. It is such a relief to have a vet I can actually communicate with regarding my dog's health. My dog has had UTI since 3/3/21. My previous vet, Dr. Cohen, after over 2 months, 3 rounds of antibiotics (2 weeks each time), x-rays, ultrasounds, urine cultures, urine sediment tests, urinalysis, bloodwork, cytology with pathologist reading only talked to me twice. He was never available to talk to. My dog kept having blood in his urine & each time it took his office 4 days to a week to give me the results. The same urinalysis & urine culture tests that Dr. Gordon e-mailed me the results personally on a weekend in less than 24 hrs! If you're looking for a very caring, knowledgeable & responsive veterinarian, look no further. Dr. Gordon is absolutely wonderful & his staff are all very nice. Thank you, Dr. Gordon.

I am so very grateful to have found Dr Gordon! His team is incredible, and so committed to excellent care! Dr. Gordon is truly an angel— We have been to so many vets for our rescue and with her anxiety, she doesn’t do very well, but she warmed up to Dr. G very quickly! He is amazing at explaining how and what procedures entail, and is excellent at communication. Being a physician myself, I have rather unrealistic expectations of other providers— well Dr. G exceeded my expectations! Never going to another vet again!

I am so glad I found Dr. Gordon. He’s literally the best veterinarian I’ve ever come across. His staff is so kind and polite. He truly cares about the well-being of my puppy. I highly recommend him to anyone with a new puppy or someone looking for a new vet. There are over 20 vets within 2 square miles of where I live but I gladly drive over a half hour to take Philip to see Dr. Gordon. And as a result Philip is a healthy happy pup!

Dr. Gordon is awesome! I have been searching for a vet that doesn't just throw chemicals at a problem to fix if unnecessary. My dog Jack had some skin issues that required antibiotics and at my request, Dr. Gordon recommended a holistic approach to start off which worked great! The issue went away within days. He also operated on Jack before Thanksgiving, removing a small cyst and did a flawless job sewing up the area. You can't even see where he removed it. It's so important to me to have found a vet I can trust that will offer holistic approaches should they pop up with my littleman. So thank you Dr. Gordon, we are so lucky to have you in Laguna!

We were absolutely delighted with our first experience yesterday with Dr. Gordon and Arch Beach Vet Clinic. We had been looking for quite some time for a vet with a more natural philosophy and one who is well versed in safe vaccine protocols and post vaccine detox methods. Dr. Gordon is extremely knowledgeable and personable, and exactly who we have been looking for. We greatly appreciated his homeopathic approach with Charlie as well as taking his time to answer all of our questions and concerns. We never felt rushed. He was so gentle with our little dog, that I know Charlie will be happy to return as well. As long as we live in California, Dr. Gordon will be our vet!

Dr. Gordon is so awesome, I brought my 8 yr old female French bulldog in because her hind legs are not doing so well. I had X-rays taken at another vet and showed it to Dr. Gordon and after examining my dog and looking at the information I provided, it was concluded that it’s most likely a spinal inflammation issue so I was given the holistic options of chiropractic, acupuncture, or cold laser. He suggested cold laser to start with so I went ahead and did that. My pup is doing a little better but of course one treatment isn’t going to show any significant results. I’m heading back there soon to do another cold laser treatment. Anyhow, this doctor is very knowledgeable on how certain breeds have certain health issues and he’s extremely friendly and very casual, makes you feel comfortable. He’s very straight forward and he doesn’t try to upsell products or services. He lets you decide, gives you the power and control on the options given. He suggests but doesn’t facilitate any scare tactics or anything like that. Very trustworthy. It’s a small humble office but I really like that. Parking was a little bit of an issue but if anything, you can park down the street. I would definitely recommend this place to other pet owners for sure.

Dr Gordon and his team at Arch Beach Vet Clinic in Laguna Beach are extraordinary. Our beautiful and highly loved family member, 11 year old American Bulldog Roxi who is normally highly energetic, picked up some foreign object in her right paw on a recent trip to Home Depot. She was in a lot of pain, and was struggling to walk. I took her to our usual vet in the Canyon, who would not listen to me, told me she had a swollen paw (duh!), said was from chewing her paw (she never has!), and sold me $300 in pain meds. She continued to limp and in pain, so I called a friend and asked who she took her dog to. She recommended Arch Beach Vet Clinic and Dr David Gordon. He listened, was kind and loving, caring, compassionate and intelligent in his approach, found the piece of metal in her paw quickly with an x-ray, and solved the problem. Instant dog smiles!! He also detected a heart murmur with her heart we did not know about that could have been lethal, so had a great cardiologist come by his clinic the same week to check her out, and we learned that her heart is healthy enough to live a great life. An excellent experience, and we are moving her medical records over. I highly recommend Dr David Gordon and his outstanding team @ Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic. They are highly professional, very caring, and on the ball. Your pet will be well cared for.

Dr. Gordon and his team are the must trustworthy, empathetic, and knowledgeable people in the business. I grew up with Westies and Scotties on the east coast. I now have a new Scottish terrier, and the initial vet appointment was extremely thorough. Dr. Gordon really took the time to answer my questions and also teach me about what to look out for regarding my dog’s health. It was evident how much Dr. Gordon and his team cares. Without a doubt I would highly recommend Dr. Gordon.

We are absolutely delighted to have found Dr. Gordon and his team at Arch Beach Vet in Laguna Beach! After relocating from Chicago, it took some time to find a vet that checked all our boxes for care of our GSD boys, but now that we found Arch Beach, we know our boys’ health is in good hands. Tyler and Heidi make you feel as if your pet has always been part of their care crew as soon as they answer the phone. The technicians are genuinely interested in what we have to say and interact with kindness. Dr Gordon is forward thinking, innovative, attentive, and a medical artist. We couldn’t be happier with our choice for our boys!

Dr. Gordon at Arch Beach Vet is by far the best Vet I have ever been to. My dog recently injured his ACL prompting me to seek out a new Vet since my old one is far away. Dr. Gordon got me in the next day and he was actually the one to greet me at the door. I was able to stay for the exam (which is super important for a lot of pet parents) and Dr. Gordon spend a lot of time answering questions about the recommended surgery. He then emailed me that afternoon to check on me and continued to email back and forth with me the entire weekend. I have never met any medical professional that will take the time to email back and forth all weekend with a patient. He has an orthopedic specialist, Dr.Smith, come to his office to perform the ortho procedures. Dr. Smith also was very kind and explained all of my post op instructions. After the surgery, Dr. Gordon emailed several times to check up on my dog and he even got us in immediately for a visit to check his incision when I was concerned. I have felt supported throughout the entire process. Every person I have encountered while at his office has been so incredibly kind. His prices are beyond fair for the level of care he provides.

I cannot recommend Dr. Gordon and his team enough. My puppy had a hurt eye when I first got him, and I was told to just put on an antibiotic ointment and to give it two weeks, and he'd be fine. To err on the side of caution, I took him to a different local vet on my first day with him, who ended up giving me the same instructions. I revisited this same vet multiple times since his eye still looked very irritated and seemed to be bothering him, and I kept being assured that it was getting better and just to give it a week. Fast forward a couple of days, and my puppy is clearly in extreme pain. His eye is bothering him so badly that he completely stops eating and is unable to sleep for more than a few minutes. I called Arch Beach worried, and even though I was a new patient and they were fully booked, they fit me in for an appointment during what should have been their lunch. I'm so grateful that I ended up seeing Dr. Gordon and his team since they immediately knew something was very wrong. After performing various tests, they recommended that I go see a veterinary ophthalmologist ASAP. It turns out his eye pressure was off the charts, so they knew he was suffering a ton and gave him an injection to ease the pain while we figured out what we needed to do. With COVID, most veterinary specialists are booked up weeks ahead of time, but Dr. Gordon was kind enough to call in a favor for me, and I was able to get my puppy seen the same day. Unfortunately, my puppy's eye will never recover, but I'm so happy that we could get some answers and figure out a plan to help him. I can't imagine the pain my puppy must've been in, and don't want to think about what could've happened to him if I hadn't gotten a third opinion from Dr. Gordon and his team. I'm so grateful to Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic and will most definitely be bringing my dog to them going forward. It's evident that Dr. Gordon (and every one of his team members) is extremely knowledgeable and truly loves animals. If you live in the area and are looking for a vet definitely go to Arch Beach!! Your animal will thank you ????

We recently brought in our yorkie Boomer to have a consultation with Dr. Gordon for a reoccurring grade 2 soft tissue sarcoma on his elbow that we had just had operated on 3 months prior at a different vet. Dr. Gordon is very friendly and cares for his patients very much, from the minute you walk in you are provided with top notch service from both Dr. Gordon and his staff. We felt very reassured by his prognosis on our dog and he was able to get us in for surgery the day after the consultation. We received constant updates and reassurances as to how our pet was doing from the time he was dropped off up until he was ready to go. We got personal follow ups from the doctor himself, he checked on how our dog was doing the night he went home and the next morning. We were able to send photos of the incision site which he confirmed was looking great. This was so convenient for us as we don’t live nearby. The take home instructions are very detailed and clear, the medications he was sent home with were pre-measured for each individual dose which is so convenient! The doctor even signs his own name to your home care instructions, an indication of just how personalized his service is and how involved he is in your pet’s care. I say this only because we’ve had experiences elsewhere where it’s hard to speak to the vet unless you pay for a visit, that’s definitely not the case here as Dr. Gordon called me personally to offer an earlier appointment time and followed up with us via text and email after treatment. We’ve been blown away by the experience we’ve had and although our dog is still healing from surgery we feel confident that we couldn’t have gotten better care anywhere else just based on how great this experience has been compared to the last place our dog had this procedure done at. We won’t be taking our dogs anywhere else!

Dr. Gordon and his staff are the most compassionate, kind and loving Veterinary practice I’ve ever had the good fortune to meet. The level of professionalism is matched only by the depth of the love and care they exhibited for my sweet puppy dog. It tool over an hour - and once two hours - to get to Dr. Gordon’s practice from where I live in Pasadena, but it was more than worth the trip. He and the staff go far beyond expectations and I’m so grateful to have met them.
