WOW, found the perfect new addition to our family. Can't say enough about Underdog Animal Rescue, very easy to work with and set up appointment to meet and greet the new family member with the foster family. It was a great fit for everyone. One of the things that impressed me the most was the application and approval process. They want to make sure the pet is going to be in an loving home. Thank you Underdog we love Otis.

I've fostered with Underdog almost 4 months now. Amanda is awesome, she is so helpful, caring, and there to answer any questions I've had. The families that have adopted my fosters were all wonderful people who I still stay in contact with to this day. I love this organization!

I have been fostering for this organization for a little over a year, and not only is it very professionally run but this organization has managed to save hundreds of animals and change the lives of many families who happily open their homes to adopt these innocent, amazing pups. Underdog raises thousands of dollars to make sure all animals are vetted before adoption, as well as to cover many injuries or health issues that some of our pups encounter. Awesome rescue organization.

We adopted our new family member, Lulu, from Underdog. They did a really great job matching us. The adoption process was smooth and easy, and we appreciate that they looked at our family as a whole instead of just saying no because we have young kids. Many rescues will not adopt to families with little ones, but we already have another dog and my kids have had dogs since birth so their age was not prohibitive for us. We appreciate all the work the fosters do. Stacy was our dog’s foster and she was very kind and helpful.

I found a dog they had for adoption on Petfinder. They responded to my inquiry very quickly and the foster was fantastic. She was patient with all my questions and answered everything very straightforwardly. Lots of pictures and videos. The whole adoption process was really smooth.

Adopt, foster, volunteer, donate!!! Underdog Animal Rescue makes it easy to find and fall in love with your doggie match. I was looking for a small-medium dog that would get along with my kids, not need a large yard and had a sweet, playful temperment. The fosters at Underdog are so lovely and helped find the right match and offered us lots of guidance and support to make sure it was a happy match for all. We've had our girl for over a year and couldn't imagine life without her. Thanks Underdog Animal Rescue.

My fiance and I adopted our little guy, formerly known as Reggie, from here and it has been nothing but the best experience of our lives. Unfortunately pet adoption has become quite difficult yet Underdog made it as efficient as possible all while being quite communicative. Will adopt again from here.

In addition to working a full time job, Amanda puts every ounce of energy into the success of Underdog and it shows! 2,000+ dogs have been saved thanks to her and the team of amazing fosters! If you are considering fostering or adopting, give Underdog a chance. There are ALWAYS dogs in need, of all shapes, sizes, and breeds.

I’m so grateful for Underdog Rescue. They have the best and most passionate foster parents. If it wasn’t for this rescue, and our foster parent Kris, I don’t know if I’d be where I am today. I consider myself so lucky to have such a perfect precious canine companion. She is the most loving and caring, and I can’t envision my life without miss Joy (rescued by Underground 2 days before Christmas 2018). She is truly our pride and JOY!

I started fostering with Underdog after researching a lot of rescue organizations including SPCA’s in my area. They were the only ones who allow fosters to match adoption applications with the dogs in their care. We don’t have a physical shelter and rely on committed fosters to bring dogs from high kill shelters to the Bay Area. Everything is made to be convenient and Underdog is run by very competent, helpful and knowledgeable people. I recommend even if you want to adopt a dog sign up as a foster for Underdog, get to select which dog you may want to foster to adopt and see how it goes. I even if they aren’t a fit and you adopt it out you helped a dog survive and find the home it deserves.

We adopted our puppy, Otis, in March of this year. We were the only folks selected to meet him and continue in the process toward adoption. I appreciate this so much because we tried for many months to adopt a rescue and were beat by people who reached out first. I really love that there was attention to our application, consideration, and an opportunity to meet our guy, and show what kind of pet owners we are. It was in the best interest of the rescue, and I just love that. Otis is happy and healthy, and our family is so in love with him. Underdog was great about it all from start to finish. ❤️

I’ve volunteered for many dog rescues, and have been working with Underdog for over a year. Underdog has been the best I’ve worked with. They rescue over 300+ dogs per year, but they want to make the right placement for a dog. They provide their fosters with the support needed, and also give the fosters latitude to choose the right family. I love working with them!

I fostered with them and then adopted my boy. They were sweet and helpful and gave you all the tools you needed to foster. The adoption process was easy and you can tell they really care for the animals well being.

After having trouble finding a dog that was available, the team at Underdog found us a sweet pup and helped us connect to a dog behaviorist to help with some of her quirks. She is an amazing girl and we are so lucky to have found a pup and a community at Underdog.

After many years of trying to adopt a rescue pup with no luck, a former college mate posted a photo of a dog that was up for adoption. Something about the picture and his eyes drew me to him. I immediately filled out an application and reached out to the Underdog foster mom who was extremely responsive and we coordinated a meeting within a few days. The moment I met Mohawk, now Moseley, I instantly knew it was meant to be! The foster family was warm, responsive, and extremely kind. They welcomed me into their house to meet my puppy and without Underdog rescue and their network of foster families, I would not be living my best life with my best friend, Moseley!!! I am forever indebted to them ❤️❤️❤️

We adopted a wonderful new family member during the shutdowns after fostering several dogs for underdog. We were impressed throughout the process of fostering and adoption, and felt supported all along the way. Great rescue!

We admire Underdog Animal Rescue’s mission, so much we started volunteering and even adopted a dog that was perfect for us. We appreciate the process that Underdog goes through; saving dogs from almost assured death in a shelter, to vetting the dogs and matching with the best applicants so that these wonderful dogs can find their fur-ever home. Our experience with Underdog has been heartwarming and fulfilling.

I had a wonderful experience fostering a pup from Amanda @Underdog Rescue. I was super picky about what kind of dog I wanted to foster as well. I chose to foster because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to actually have a pet. I know they cost money and take lots of time. After all they’re a part of your family. After I filled out the paperwork to foster, Amanda contacted me and said she may have a pup that would be a good fit in a few days. Well, in a few days I did pick up this pup! Amanda is very supportive, gave me everything I thought I would need, and was available for any and all questions I had at any time. I know that Underdog Rescue is amazing through personal experience. Well I ended up being a Foster Failure, but there’s nothing wrong with that at all. That’s the best failure to be!! I told Amanda she is an angel to me. To this day, I’m not sure who rescued who?! When people ask where I got my pup, I’m happy to tell them Underdog Rescue, and I even add in how supportive they are and where to find them. I want everyone to know that they’re the BEST!!

After the loss of my buddy in 2018 I adopted a great little bundle of love and energy through Underdog. Brooklyn, our Staffy mix, is the cutest little nugget. When I was looking to adopt a new dog into our family, I reached out to Underdog because I liked their mission. They were professional, compassionate people and they even supported me when we decided our family needed more time to grieve the loss of our prior fur baby. When I reached out again, I discussed the details of what we were looking for in a dog, and Amanda was an amazing matchmaker. Petunia has been with us for 3 years now and we love her more and more each day. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to foster or adopt, also to donate animal goods to. Our family foster failed & adopted fritz (now Derek) last year. As soon as I brought him home my husband told me that he isn’t going anywhere. They worked with us making sure the transition is smooth for our family, from picking closest vet to our home (we live pretty up north) to checking up on us & providing detailed information. But what I LOVE the most about underdog, Amanda & Lisa still connect with us! They knew we lived near active wild fire area so they reached out to make sure we’re ok. Recently, Derek diagnosed with epilepsy, they showed genuine compassion, asking if we needed anything. Luckily, he responds well to his medication & back to his goofy self.

I got my cute chihuahua from Underdog 5 years ago. Since that time I have kept in contact with the rescue. What an amazing group of people that help much deserving dogs in need.

We adopted our Loki last November through this rescue. They are amazing and always work in the best interests of the pets they rescue. They find future homes for pets and bring families together.
