Best dog grooming hands down

I feel like our dogs got the complete spa treatment, including getting their ears and teeth done. The owner was friendly and did a nice job on the dogs.

I wish I can rate them a better rate. I've taken my dog here multiple times. He does not always come back the way I wanted him cut, but he looks great because he is so adorable and I just trim off the hairs that don't seem right. I took him in today for a 10:30 appointment and he was back at home around 2 which isn't as bad as usual. I was driving home and saw his eyes bloodshot red like this. I have never seen him like that. I was driving on the freeway and started to freak out. I took him to the vet and paid a fortune just for this check up for them to tell me that he was either cut or had lots of shampoo go into his eyes. I was so disappointed. When I went home and was giving him belly rubs I noticed something in his ears and it turns out he had this cotton ball in there this whole time! I always tipped them and treated the workers so nicely I just expected more. I am never taking him back there again.

Been going here for years. They treat the dogs as their own. They all do very good work and always happy and friendly.

I've been taking my dogs and other family members' dogs here for years. Rika is always super sweet and thorough. I have two water/mud-loving double- coated aussiedors and they're always thoroughly deshed and smelling great. They love Rika and the attention, treats, and spoiling she gives them. You can tell she (and her family) really love what they do and actually care about our furry family members. Definitely will continue recommending them to everyone.

Rika allows each dog his own cushy cubby during their visit. She has a great touch, I haven't had to worry about our floof being cut or nicked. ????????????❤️

They are one of the best if not the best dog groomer I've found for my pup in San Diego and I've been to a lot of them. No one else pays the attention to detail that they do when it comes to making my Husky look nice. There's a reason I travel 45 minutes south to get my dog groomed here.

Been going here for about two years now. My dog always looks amazing when I get her back, and the bows and bandanas are adorable! Makes my girl fashionable for any month!

Star Dogs always does an amazing job with our dogs!! Even though we moved further away from them recently, we still make the drive because they give the best haircuts in town & I wouldn't trust the pups anywhere else. There is never a single hair out of place, they are soft & fluffy and come home smelling like heaven!

Really enjoyed Rika. My dog looked so handsome after his bath and cut. You can tell she really loves the animals!

Best groom shop in San Diego!!

My first time going there yesterday by word of mouth and the atmosphere was wonderful, I was greeted by two amazing workers and the shop was very welcoming and clean. Little back story, my dog has anxiety with getting her nails trimmed and so Petco would always turn me away because my dog would whine too much so I felt helpless. When I told them my situation they reassured me that they will try and sure enough my dog started to go a little nuts but the guy was able to calm her down and make her feel comfortable. I was SO over joyed by this and with so much relief. You can really tell just how compassionate these people are and that they treat the animals with love, respect AND patience. I will DEFINITELY be a returning customer and let everyone know how great their service is!! One thing to note as well is they are CASH only! THANK YOU STAR DOGS!!!

I have taken my boys to other places and was ok with the services, other places would tell me that my aussie gave them attitude, and they couldn't blow dry him, but today when I picked up my boys the groomers were saying how sweet and great they were they had my aussie out and were just loving on him when I got there. I will be bringing them back. They are so soft and smell so good. And the groomers are very nice! They really seem to love working with dogs and I feel it may have helped mine have a better experience than in the past.

Eri at StarDogs always does an amazing job! Once I tried Stardogs i never went back to petco or petsmart. Their service is personable and my dogs love it! I know they are in good hands when i leave them here. Highly highly recommend!!

Reika is just fabulous - loving and calm with various temperaments of dogs. My little Cairn, Tallulah, loved going to see Reika every other month for almost 15 years! And Tallulah was so proud to show off her beauty to anyone who would stop to say hello. I recommend Star Dogs very highly.
