VCA PetPoint Medical Center and Resort Irvine, California

Dr. Kathy is wonderful and the facility is amazing. I live in Long Beach but take my dog, Gabby, to Irvine because she receives such good care at PetPoint.

When Dr Wentworth still owned the practice and before covid 19 I really used to enjoy this place. Now it's ran by a bunch of young hipsters that think their doing gods work, and have no idea (some of the employees {mostly the new ones, the o.g. employees are amazing} are rude and have no phone manners), watch out for the male pet runners, they are especially rude. Overall though this vet is the best in the business. They are honest, they tell you the truth, they are very thorough, and they know what they are doing. I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else other than Dr. Wentworth a.k.a. Dr. Kathy, and her team of original vet techs. It will be interesting to see what happens to the practice now that it's sold as I hope it doesn't fall apart and prices go through the ceiling. We have elite status with her and her practice. We have a couple 30k basset hounds that we cherish and love to death and have seriously cost us close to 30k each in surgeries and vet bills. Their spa and grooming is top notch. Again wouldn't take my pet anywhere else other than Pet Point. But their customer service could use some polishing. For sure!

It was a good experience overall; I appreciate the staff came out to the parking lot a few times to safely proceed everything outside. Both the doctor and the tech or assistant listened to me well and answered my questions as well as explained the possible causes. Easy to find, enough parking space.

Best everything for any pet. The service is Nordstrom quality cust. service. Humble place for every type of person who wants a honest and no hidden charges. Like several vets Ive seen and interviews over the phone. This is the second major dental surgery my toy chihuahua had. The VET saved her life. This other vet I went to kept infected teeth in her. THE OTHER VET WOULD COLD HARDLY TELL ME THAT THEY PULLED ALL INFECTED TEETH. WELL IT WAS A LIE. SO THIS IS A HUGE REASON I STUBBLED ACROSS THIS PLACE. This place is so honest. They truly will be upfront. You will be confortable with all there trusting services. This is a full service vet. Hospital.day care, cooking class, acupuncture, grooming,, training, EVERY PET IS TREATED LIKE KINGS AND QUEENS. NO MATTER WHAT. BLESSING FROM GOD.

Staff and doctor were awesome. Felt like all questions were answered and I knew exactly what the plan was.

I'm giving a 1 star for these reasons: 1. I boarded my dog over Christmas and did not receive the promised every other day "report card" with picture and summary. That is a deciding factor for why I board with Petpoint and no one told me I would not be getting these services when I dropped my dog off. I certainly paid for them. 2. When asked about it at pick up, staff shrugged and said it shouldn't have happened that way but that only a manager could help me. I asked to talk to a manager and they said one would call me. 3. Upon further inspection, the "Free" bath that was provided to my dog just before she returned to me left her with knotted and dreadlocked ear hair. 4. I boarded with Pet Point again recently. This time for 10 days, and they did they exact same thing even though I was assured last time that the every other day update was not “optional”. I was informed Dr. Kathy is no longer associated with the resort side of the business. No manager called me, so I waited a week and called them. Natasha responded with: 1. Because of Covid, PetPoint will try and send out updates, but they might not depending on how busy it is. It isn't a guarantee, only something they would try to do. If you want to know about your dog you should call the office. 2. The staff that helped me at pick up told her everything was fine and she didn't need to call me. 3. The bath was free so I shouldn't complain about it. 4. She was sorry that was my experience, but ultimately could not do anything about it. 5. In response to my complaints about the most recent service, Humberto responded he could not do anything for me even though the service was not as promised. The lack of ownership and poor customer service from Natasha and Humberto is why I am giving this a 1 star.

Staff and doctor were very friendly. We brought our dog for a pre-boarding vet exam and behavior analysis.

I love my dogs and they take good care of them. Great job grooming also, and they get done fast so I don't wait all day to pick them back up.

My first and last time using this facility for my dogs. I scheduled an appointment to have Dr. Martnyck for shots and check up. Without the courtesy of telling me, they used another doctor. Personally knowing Dr. Martnyck, I felt my dogs were not given the professional service that I wished. Plus Dr. Martnyck has changed from a person who cared about her patients and their owners. I have called her three times, left messages and totally ignored. The office manager was kind enough to return my call and I got the typical I'm sorry. I will be looking for a new vet who has more time for the people who have helped her in her career.

Sucks that they were not able to diagnose my dog however; the staff was very friendly and Dr. Hwang did the best he could to break it all down... I feel like they r a bit pricey tho..

They are the absolute best! By far the best vet I’ve ever had and I trust them with my fur babies who mean the world to me! Dr. Kathy is the greatest! All the staff is so kind and welcoming, I always feel comfortable when they have my girls and I’m not around. I wish I could give them 100 star review and I never leave reviews!

Great vet clinic and really seem to care about the pets they take care of. I would recommend, but be aware you are paying a premium.

I love this place! Super affordable and Dr.Kathy is AMAZING! She is the ONLY vet I will ever trust.

Doctors and nurses at pet point are super awesome and they really care about their special patients . They are very patient and diligent in following up after an appointment to check on the welfare of the dogs . I can’t say my dogs love going there , especially Buddy (who freaks out whenever I pull into the parking lot) but I can say I feel very confident the people at pet point will take good care of my dogs .

Very disappointed with their pricing and their after-visit service. I tried to fill a prescription for ear drops for my dog through Chewy.com and the vet would not approve it. They wanted us to pay for ANOTHER visit (the last visits cost us over $700 for an ear infection!) and so we are not able to get the prescription for our poor dog, unless of course we pay this vet hundreds of dollars (if not more) and spend all weekend at the vet. Go somewhere else.

Dr. Kathy is absolutely wonderful! I appreciate the care she puts into providing me and my pet a positive experience. Her facility is beautiful and super clean and she very much cares about the health and well being of my dog. So glad we found Dr. Kathy!

Amazing!!!! This is a late post - I had just moved with my 2 little poms to OC when my 14yo started acting sick. Even though we weren't established as patients and it was over the New Year holiday, Dr. Kathy saw my little one as an emergency. Dr. Kathy was kind, gentle, compassionate, and skilled. Turns out my pup had a bowel obstruction and Dr. Kathy saved her life. Thank you!!!!!!!

There service is amazing ! Everyone is helpful and very knowledgeable. I bring my best friend Holly for her shots and nail trimming.

I love this place! Everyone is very friendly. They make my dog feel at home when he goes to daycare. The training services are awesome! The trainer has done wonders with my German Shepherd. I totally recommend this place.

Not the cheapest place but you can tell they really care about the animals and their well-being. For basic things sometimes I take my pets elsewhere due to cost, but for the most part this is my preferred location! They were so good with my terrified cats. They also have an awesome daycare for dogs!

I was referred to this place and I was not disappointed. I'm fostering a couple hamsters and had an appointment for one of them with Dr. Wentworth. The night before the appointment, the other one showed signs of something that required medical treatment. I called them the day of and they were able to squeeze her into the appointment as well. The vet was very patient with the squirmy hamsters and talked me me through everything. She was thorough. Although I didn't receive an easy answer for one of the babies, I had a great experience. They also give 1/2 the first exam fee for a new patient.

My dog and i love Amanda in grooming! She is one of the nicest people I have ever met and she makes my dog so happy each visit to her! If you're looking for a great groomer request Amanda!
